Top Ten First Things You Think On Your First Day of Middle School
Ever wonder what it's like your first day at middle school? Or do you want to look back at the memories of middle school? Well this list has it all!I remember my first day of middle school. We were all told to go to the cafeteria. Then, in a split second, everyone just moved down the hallways. I even got lost just getting to the gym, which I remembered quite well because we had a tour months before. Luckily, the majority of my classes were in the same hallway, except for my French class and 21st Century Skills class. Don't even get me started on my locker...
For me, middle school and high school alike were easy adjustments. They felt like home within a week or two. And it feels smaller and smaller as time goes on.
I live in a place where my middle school has about 1,200 people in it, and the high school has over 5,000. It's horrible when you're as introverted as I am. Seriously, I only have maybe 3 or 4 friends. It's sad, but I'm working on it.
Nah, I was used to this since my elementary school's fire code said 600 people max in the building, and we had over 1,000 students alone. Life at Rachel Carson Elementary School.
My school has only 600 kids. I'm fine with it because there are multiple buildings, and there are no lockers.
On my first day, it was tricky, but after that, I was fine. You get used to it. By the end of the first quarter, you can open your locker fast. Sometimes your locker gets jammed, so I recommend checking to make sure your backpack or whatever is not sticking out.
Simple. You just need to steal a bulldozer, crush your locker, and there you go - your locker is opened.
Why don't they just give out instruction manuals?
No, they will give you three pages of homework on the first day.
Number one! Vote for this! Seriously, I say this every day. Even on weekends, I can't enjoy not having school because I'm thinking about Monday when I have to go to that dreaded brick building again!

I never really paid attention to the other grades. Now that I'm an eighth grader, I can tell you that a lot of eighth graders don't really pay attention to the other grades. It really depends on the person.
I feel like the 7th graders in my school are inferior, while my fellow 8th graders are superior. I'm one of the ones who is super nice to you unless you're annoying.
I remember being in 6th grade, absolutely terrified of 7th and 8th graders. As an 8th grader now, they're not so bad - at my school, anyway.
Blah blah Nash. This depends on maturity.
Yes, he was in my elementary school. I was actually staring at him until I think he saw me. I just pretended to talk to my friends. Well, I did talk to them, but I took little glances over at him.
I don't care about looks. I care about intelligence and humor.
This was my exact reaction to getting homework on the first day of 7th grade from my history teacher on Monday, 8/20/2018.
In fifth grade (middle school where I live), I was scared a lot when I saw the sixth graders and how huge they were compared to me. Now I'm still super small.
This is me right now because next year I'll be in high school.
Because middle school has the cringe kids who only listen to rap music and make fun of you just because you refuse to "dab."
