The Top Ten
1 Grand Admiral Thrawn Grand Admiral Thrawn is a Chiss male from the Star Wars universe created by Timothy Zahn. He first appeared in Star Wars Heir to the Empire, serving as the primary antagonist of the Thrawn trilogy. Thrawn has more recently appeared in Star Wars Rebels, and has been the central focus of several novels... read more

Thrawn has three things going for him as a villain:

First, he's smart. Very smart. In The Clone Wars, Cad Bane was a popular character because he was a Die Hard villain. Thrawn takes that same principle and mixes it with a bit of Evil Sherlock Holmes for good measure. Thrawn is fighting for an evil cause, but he's such a clever bastard that he manages to entertain you while doing it. He gives the heroes a workout just trying to keep up with him.

Second, ironically, he's more human than most Imperial villains. Thrawn isn't apolitical - he believes in order above all else, which is why he fights for the Empire. However, he also isn't needlessly cruel and doesn't use fear as a motivational tactic. He's not a good guy, per se, but he's less of a bad guy than is normal for the Empire. That gives him some added character depth.

Third, and probably most importantly, he was the main villain in a trilogy of novels that were excellent all around. So when people think of Thrawn, it reminds them of how good his books were.

2 Revan Revan is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise and the protagonist of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Revan was one of the most powerful beings ever presented in the Star Wars universe. He was one of, if not the only, being who fell to the dark, came back to the light, and then fully mastered both spectrums of the Force. He was also able to use both sides simultaneously without succumbing to the dark side.

Revan is kind of a badass.

He is amazing and super strong. He killed loads of Jedi and Sith.

3 Darth Malak Darth Malak is a fictional Sith lord in the Star Wars franchise. Malak first appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. He was originally a Jedi Knight trained by Revan, but both Revan and Malak fell to the Dark Side.

6 Galen Marek Galen Marek, codenamed Starkiller, was a male Human apprentice of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. A powerful Force-user who lived during the era of the Galactic Empire, Marek originated from the Wookiee home planet of Kashyyyk as the sole offspring of two Jedi Knights—Mallie and Kento Marek—who deserted... read more

Galen Marek, aka Starkiller, was the son of Jedi Knights Kento and Mallie Marek, born sometime after Order 66. It was mentioned that Vader had killed Marek's master some time previously. Mallie was killed while the family was in hiding.

In The Force Unleashed, Starkiller's missions as Vader's apprentice, including missions to assassinate surviving Jedi Masters, are chronicled. Eventually, they were caught by the Emperor, and after staging Starkiller's death, Vader sent him out to form the Rebel Alliance as a way of gathering all the Empire's enemies into one place.

At some point along the way, Starkiller had a change of heart and opted to chase after the captured leaders. On Kashyyyk, he fought a group of Trandoshan slavers. Kento was murdered by Vader, who then took Galen and raised him as his apprentice, Starkiller.

7 Darth Malgus Darth Malgus is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Malgus was a member of the Sith Order during the Old Republic, and serves as an antagonist in The Old Republic video game.
8 Jacen Solo

Jacen Solo, the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, was a Jedi Knight who later fell to the dark side of the Force and became Darth Caedus. His story is similar to that of his cousin, Ben Solo, in that both men were Jedi who were tempted by the dark side and ultimately turned to it. However, there are also some key differences between the two.

Jacen's fall to the dark side was a gradual process driven by his desire to bring peace to the galaxy. He believed that the Jedi were too weak to accomplish this and that the only way to bring peace was through the use of force. He became increasingly ruthless in his actions, leading to his eventual transformation into Darth Caedus.

In contrast, Ben Solo's fall to the dark side was driven by the manipulation of Supreme Leader Snoke, who preyed on Ben's insecurities and feelings of abandonment by his family. Ben's transformation into Kylo Ren was more sudden and was a direct result of Snoke's manipulation.

9 Jaina Solo Jaina Solo is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Created by Timothy Zahn, Jaina is the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa and the twin sister of Jacen Solo.

She's a strong female character who can kick ass.

10 Anakin Solo

I liked his bond with Mara, and he always had the weight of the galaxy on his shoulders. He's a great friend and a cunning warrior. He also has his father's and grandfather's recklessness. He only wanted to make his family proud.

He also has a genius-level IQ. He got kidnapped and had bounties on his head so many times as a child. Palpatine even tried to take over his body, but too bad. He died saving his brother Jacen.

Anakin Solo was the next chosen one and had the most potential.
