Top Ten Worst Types of YouTube Comments
If there was a list titled "Most controversial places on the internet," YouTube Comment sections would be at least in the top 3.Keep in mind that I'm not attacking the people who make there kinds of comments, I'm just going over the repetitive comments, the copy and paste comments, etc.
Let's get started shall we?
I thought the "First!" comments were bad, but this one is the absolute worst. I've seen it in almost every music video I watch, and people do it just to get hundreds of likes on their comments. People even respond positively to them! It's not even original or good, yet they keep doing it for every passing year. Even now, people say things like, "January 7, 2018, 10:47 AM!" If you're doing this, it's time to stop.
They are flooding the comments section of nearly every video! It's hard to find a video nowadays without one of these pathetic comments. And for the record, people only make them to get hundreds of likes. Apparently, it works.
Objectively, they're worse than the Who's watching this in (a certain year) comments, but I see first comments less often. Sometimes, though, the first ten comments under a video are all asking about the year, month, or day.
These are people who feel like they've accomplished something just by being the first to comment on a video. It's amazing what dumb things people will pat themselves on the back for.
Being the first commenter isn't a big deal, especially on videos that probably won't even get many views.
These are a newer type of comment, and I already hate them. Why shouldn't I click? It's like saying, Don't click a button to vote for Hillary Clinton!
It's just text, not a real spoiler or trick. It's a complete waste of time.
Unoriginal, repetitive, annoying, and way too common. What's up with people and these types of comments? THEY'RE NOTHING SPECIAL! They're just comments with faces of characters or random quotes. Any word in the dictionary that defines "stupid" describes these comments.
How to spot a little kid on YouTube:
1. They have a Minecraft profile picture.
2. They get easily offended if you say the slightest thing about something they like.
3. They have horrible grammar. Did I miss anything?
I saw a comment from a Gen Z kid saying nobody cares about Atari. He's obviously clueless.
Now they have a Fortnite skin as their profile picture.
Five Nights at Freddy's and My Little Pony are good examples of topics people irrationally hate on.
This is the worst. I've seen some comments where people hate on one thing way too much.
Examples include: "Hey, like if you agree that such and such was awesome in this video," "Get this to 100 likes and I'll destroy my dad's laptop," "One like = one plate/bowl of your favorite food," "One like = one prayer," or "I got my FIRST LIKE! Wait, why is it blue?" It's like good content being buried under junk.
Here's an example:
"If this comment gets 100 likes, my mother will buy me an iPhone 7."
Example: "I've hacked this comment so you can't like this."
This is just another like-seeker!
One time I was watching a SpongeBob video on YouTube, and I saw a comment about how Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. I love and follow Jesus, but Christianity has nothing to do with SpongeBob.
I was watching a My Singing Monsters video, and someone commented about Undertale. What the heck?
An article about music is posted, and the comments are about cryptocurrency making people rich. Right, sure.
Some people even lie about it being their birthday just to get likes.
I hate these comments. I come to check out the discussion about how amazing or beautiful the video is, but instead, almost every YouTuber is just saying they came from some other video or anime.
Exactly! No one cares. It would be fine if there was just one comment about it, and everyone could reply there. We don't need 10 comments saying, "Who's here from Geometry Dash?"
The only reason they came here is because they want attention and validation through an arbitrary number of likes.
Do they realize this can genuinely scare some people half to death?
For example, on an Onision video about "Dumb Song Lyrics," when he mentioned Twenty One Pilots and Melanie Martinez, a lot of fans got butthurt.
A good place to find these is on ScrewAttack's Death Battle videos, like the Goku vs. Superman one.
"How dare you insult my favorite YouTuber or celebrity? I've never met them, but I'll defend them to the death anyway!"
Every Reaction Time fan's comment seems to lack punctuation or use the wrong version of "your." It drives me crazy.
I cannot stand bad grammar - it drives me insane.
Honestly, it's probably 8-year-olds who hate school and fall asleep in class.
Every video has at least one comment like, "Please sub to my channel."
When you upload a video, you will get many spam comments like, "Great video! You can check my channel for NCS music," "I found a working hack! It works! 100% works! (insert hack link)," or "Great video! Please come to (insert channel name) for more videos!" Sometimes, they might even hack your account and replace your content with inappropriate material. Most spam comments are found in one video. Spam comments are the worst.
I used to get plenty of those. They're so annoying, and they're mostly from scammers.
Thank God these are becoming irrelevant!
For example:
"Well, that's 5 1/2 minutes I won't get back." Like, dude, if you didn't like it, just move on! You also wasted time writing that comment - 30 seconds you won't get back - so why bother?
I can't even read what these comments say. I had to scroll for literally a full minute just to get to the actual message.
For example:
A: What's the name of this song?
B: Darude Sandstorm!
These people are clearly lying. The ones asking for the name genuinely want to know the song playing in the video.
I hate these. They mostly show up on stupid nursery rhyme videos.
I sometimes look for those weird bootleg nursery rhyme videos, like TOYS in Japan.
I'm Christian too, but I don't go around the comments section saying, "May God bless you" every time someone insults me. Not everyone follows the same religion or even cares about it. I was watching a music video earlier this week, and someone made a joke. For some reason, someone got angry, and then a guy said, "May God bless you" out of nowhere. He repeated the same thing every time someone told him to shut up or leave.
It seems like religious propaganda is really pushing hard on the internet. Though I'm an atheist, I tend to avoid debates. I just leave a comment and move on because I refuse to pander to a god. As a result, I get haters and trolls. I'm not even trying to argue - just stating my opinion - and I don't care what others think. The last comment is true too, but again, someone's always going to get upset or annoyed.
I saw this comparison on intelligence, and all these people were saying, "I'm only 8, and I have a 144 IQ, can speak English, German, Japanese, and Mandarin, and built a robot in first grade." A lot of these comments are not true.
I don't know why there are 8-year-olds on YouTube. Their parents shouldn't let them on, and they're super annoying.
YouTube Kids is meant for children like this.
