cRavenpaw gets SEVERELY mis-characterized in the fandom. He is NOT a soft UWU boy who NEEDS the support of someone else; he's a traumatized, loyal cat who is very capable of defending himself. Joining Barley at the barn was NOT a cowardly move on his part. If you reread Into the Wild, Ravenpaw was CHASED AWAY from the nursery by Frostfur after her kits went missing. He was being attacked in his own clan because of Tigerclaw's lies! The rumors being spread would have ended up in Ravenpaw being treated so much worse, and Tigerclaw would have attempted to kill him later on.

cSome people really don't look at how not many fathers are super involved with their kits. The only ones that are are related or in some way tied to the main character. Crowfeather is one of those cats.

Let's not forget both Nightcloud and Crowfeather are flawed characters, but that's what makes their family dynamic so interesting. Their constant bickering unintentionally led Breezepelt to the Dark Forest, and through that they learned to mend their relationship even if they weren't mates anymore.

cNeedletail often is either hated or loved, no in between. While she's not my favorite cat (no one from AVoS is), I still see a ton of characterization coming from the fandom.

Let's not forget, in a short clip in the exclusive Barnes & Noble edition of Thunder and Shadow, we get an exclusive sneak peak into what Needletail's life was like during her apprenticeship. She was taken away by an owl, but was dropped not to far away. By the time she returned, she learned that no cat even attempted to search for her. Imagine being kidnapped, escaping, traveling back home only to learn your family and friends barely even tried to look for you? That would be heartbreaking! No wonder Needletail hated her clan! They're selfish fox-hearts!

cYes, Rainflower made a horrible decision to cast out Crookedkit from her nest, however I see a lot of hypocrisy coming from the fandom when the topic of Rainflower comes up.

If people are really saying "they're just cats" in response to shipping or a character's choices, do they even know that cats will abandon kits they know probably won't survive/one's that are ill? It's a VERY common behavior that is never even glanced at when the fandom talks about Rainflower.
