Top Ten NBA Players Through the First Half of the 2018-19 NBA Season
The first half of the season is coming to an end. There has been amazing players and this season has been a very good season. These players have led their respective teams to great records, while also having amazing personal stats. All stats and records come from either NBA.com or Basketball Reference. Only take into account the first half of this season.Antetokounmpo has had an amazing season. He has led the Bucks to a 29-12 record for 2nd seed in the East. He is averaging 26.7 Points on 67 percent shooting from two. He is also averaging 12.8 Boards. If he could just increase his atrocious 16 percent from three than maybe he would be the best player in the league, but so far he has clearly been the most valuable player.
LeBron is still the best player in the league. LeBron may be injured at the moment, but he is still having quite a heck of a season. If he wasn't injured he would be number. He just makes his team better. He is still averaging 27.3 Points. Plus the Lakers were on a hot streak before he went out.
Overall he always the best
James Harden is averaging a career high and league high in points with 34.1 Points. At the moment I am making this he is on a streak of 15 straight games with 30 or more points. The Rockets are currently the 5 Seed and could easily take the number 1 Seed in the West.
Kawhi is having a amazing season. He is having the best season of his career. He is leading the Raptors to the best record in the East and the best overall. He is scoring 27.1 Points. He has improved almost every statistical category.
Paul George has had a insane season. He is a legit MVP candidate. His averaging a career high in Points, Rebounds, and Steals with 26.9, 8, and 2.2 respectively. He has stepped up for Russell Westbrook who is not having the best season. The Thunder are 25-16 for the 4th Seed in the West, because of that.
KD is having a great season. He is averaging 28.2 Points. He has grown a great all-around with a career high 6.1 Assists and he also has 7.3 Boards. He has led the Warriors to the 2 Seed with a 28-14 Record.
Curry has had an amazing season. He is averaging 28.8 Points. He is shooting 61 percent in effective field goal percentage. He is also shooting 44 percent from 3 on 11 attempts for 5 made.
Joel Embiid is averaging a career high in points with 26.9 Points and 13.5 Boards. He is shooting 49 percent from the field. He is also averaging 1.9 Blocks. He is the best center in the game and he is very well rounded.
I think Jokic is overrated, but he deserves some credit for getting this team to the 1 Seed in the West.
Kyrie has been pretty good with the Celtics. He is averaging a career high in Steals, Assists, and Rebounds with 1.6, 6.4, and 4.8 respectively. It's funny that he wanted to leave Cleveland to lead a team, but the season before he left averaged a career high in points. But this season he is averaging 3 points less.
