2 The one with absolutely no explanation (Super Mario Bros.)

This one is a classic, so it doesn't matter if there was explanation as to why and how Peach was kidnapped. I still like it.

3 The One where Bowser takes the actual castle (Super Mario Galaxy)

One of Bowser's more elaborate escapades, however, elaborate didn't help him in the end, when he fell to his fiery doom. Screw Mario.

Paper mario did it first.

4 The house arrest one where she isn't actually kidnapped (New Super Mario Bros. U)

Bowser kicks Mario out of the castle...doesn't leave the castle...Mario comes back...

5 The one with big Bowser (Super Mario Galaxy 2)

6 The one where Mario leaves the Princess alone for one second (New Super Mario Bros.)

7 The one where you don't expect Peach to be kidnapped but then she is (Super Mario Bros. 3)

8 The one with the big cake (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)

Nice job, Bowser. Cake. Smart move.

9 The one that isn't all that interesting but we love it anyway (Super Mario World)
