Top 10 Buffalo Bills Players
Will Always Be My Favorite
Yes he was mentioned in the 1994 ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown commercial, but Bills fans from a different era remember him as a great running back and a great spark plug for those Bills' Championship Years. In 1962, he rushed for 1,096 yards, the first American Football League player to rush that many in a season. The next year, he rushed for 246 yards against the New York Jets to set the professional football single game record. In only 3 years as a Bill he led the team in scoring. To top off his stay he rushed for 122 yards in the Bills' 1964 AFL Championship Game won by the Bills. A true great.

Lofton arrived in Buffalo in time to play a part of the famed Bills no-huddle offense. A revolutionary offense that made the Bills a great 1990s team and for Lofton, in those 4 years there he led the Bills to the playoffs every year. IN 1991, he became the oldest receiver to gain 1,000 yards receiving and in one game that year (October 21) he gains 200 yards receiving and 200 yards from scrimmage and the oldest to do it. Although he wasn't a super bowl champion, his legacy in Buffalo will never be forgotten.
