Top 10 Grand Theft Auto IV Characters

The Top Ten
  1. Niko Bellic

Niko Bellic is a fictional character and the playable protagonist of Rockstar North's 2008 video game Grand Theft Auto IV. He also appears as a supporting character in the game's episodic expansions titled The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. All of these titles were published by Rockstar... read more

Honestly, one of the best characters, if not the best, in the GTA series. Not only does he have the fighting skills of a soldier, but he also tries his best to protect his friends and the people he likes, speaking to them in a nice manner.

He complains about how he doesn't like killing, and the sad deal and revenge ending is heartbreaking. He is relatable in many ways.

Niko is pretty much the best Grand Theft Auto protagonist there is. He's multi-layered, complex, and most importantly, badass for a former soldier and Serbian immigrant! I can relate to Bellic.

  2. Roman Bellic

Simply a sidekick and comic relief, judging from my experiences early on in the game, but still amusing and not too obnoxious nonetheless. Until you get into the bowling part... eugh.

Cousin, I know you're pinned down by hundreds of cops, but I was wondering if you want to go bowling?

I wish my cousins were that funny.

He was by Niko's side the whole time. Annoying as hell sometimes, but a true brother.

  3. Little Jacob

I'm still in the earlier parts of the game, and he certainly is a "real badman." I particularly like his accent and how he's easygoing with Niko. Lots of respect for Jacob.

When he first appeared, I couldn't understand him, so I turned on the subtitles, and I still couldn't understand him!

The only one who seems to see clearly, even though he smokes a lot. Niko's most helpful friend, in my opinion.

  4. Patrick McReary

I must say, Patrick is one of the best video game characters ever. He needs far more attention, in my opinion.

So badass and top-three material. He's a good character.

Patrick is the mirror image of me. I am so proud.

  5. Brucie Kibbutz

He really has the energy, attitude, intelligence, and way of speaking of a guy who only cares about race cars, abs, girlfriends, and flying.

Bull shark testosterone does mess Brucie up pretty good! He might give me a headache, but he's funny as all get out!

When you call him to hang out, he's going to cry from happiness, which is funny. He shows you real respect. That's why I like him.

  6. Luis Fernando Lopez

Luis Fernando Lopez is a fictional character in the Grand Theft Auto series. He appears as a supporting character in Grand Theft Auto IV and its expansion The Lost and Damned. He is the main protagonist in The Ballad of Gay Tony, where he works as the bodyguard and business partner of nightclub owner... read more

I don't know why I like this character, but I do.

He looks the toughest, and in The Ballad of Gay Tony, you can get the best vehicles.

  7. Dimitri Rascalov

Unlike the other antagonists who aren't likable, this is the one that I actually like for making me and Niko feel bad and angry.

Personally, I both like and hate Dimitri. I hate that the rascal was a traitorous a-hole, but at the same time, I like how calm and sarcastic he was.

I really hate this dude. That's how good of a villain he is.

  8. Johnny Klebitz

Jonathan "Johnny" Klebitz is a fictional character in the Grand Theft Auto video game series. He appears as a supporting character in Grand Theft Auto IV and The Ballad of Gay Tony. Johnny is the main protagonist of The Lost and Damned and makes a brief appearance in Grand Theft Auto V.

He's an awesome guy who gets pissed off but has a change of heart, trying to save his ex-girlfriend Ashley and his friends from trouble. At the end of the game *SPOILERS* if you call Angus, he'll give Jim's wife, Jackie, some money for support after Jim's death.

Johnny Klebitz is the badass biker with a heart of gold. He commits crimes but with good intentions (unlike Luis or Trevor, who only care about themselves). Not all characters are as cool as Johnny.

Another badass protagonist finds a way to deal with the struggle but ends up failing to do so. That perfectly explains me.

  9. Mikhail Faustin

Sure, he was crazy, had a little too much power, and was a killer. At least he understood loyalty and didn't forget it. It's sad you had to kill him, but you were tricked into it.

  10. Yusuf Amir

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Charles Matteo

  13. ?

    Tom Rivas

  14. The Contenders
  15. James Pegorino

Pegorino is underrated. His missions are fun, and his banter is always entertaining. Hanging with him and his ilk feels like hanging with an old-school mafia family who fell from grace. He's always good for a laugh. Fuggetaboutit.

  16. Elizabeta Torres

  17. Phil Bell

  18. Dwayne Forge

  19. Gerald McReary
