1 Sub-Zero Sub-Zero is a video game character from the Mortal Kombat series and one of the original characters in the first Mortal Kombat game in 1992. A mainstay of the series, Sub-Zero is the only character who has appeared in every main Mortal Kombat fighting game.

Scorpion is awesome, don't get me wrong, but Sub-Zero just has cooler combo moves than any of them!

I hope sub-zero must kill scorpion in some commercial of Mortal Kombat

Way better than Scorpion. PlayStation for the win.

M rating sub zero made it

He was the original boss and is still awesome. He was my favorite in MK 2 because he was the only fighter to have 3 fatalities of his own including stage fatalities

6 Liu Kang Liu Kang is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the Mortal Kombat fighting game series from Midway Games, introduced as one of the original seven player characters in the 1992 first game as a Shaolin monk who enters the Mortal Kombat tournament to save Earthrealm.

10 Shao Kahn Shao Kahn is a boss, announcer, and recurring playable character from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. Introduced in Mortal Kombat II in 1993, he is the primary antagonist of the video game series and extended franchise.

No one can kill him. No one. He is the strongest, sexiest best ( I'm aware that's not a word, I just like the way it sounds). The only thing that could make him better is if he had a mortifyingly tragic backstory.

He's the best ever

The Contenders

15 Raiden Raiden is a video game character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series by Midway Games. Making his official debut as one of the original seven playable characters in 1992's Mortal Kombat, he is one of the central characters of the franchise.

Electricity always wins in my opinion. Fire is to common and meh, Ice is nice because it isn't overused, but doesn't do as much as electricity. Also, his hat is sick, as it can act as a blade. But to add on to everything, he can teleport through his electricity. So on that note, he takes the cake for me.

16 Johnny Cage Johnny Cage is a fictional video game character from the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise by Midway Games. He was introduced as one of the series' original seven player characters in the first Mortal Kombat game in 1992, and has become a staple of the series.

I like to call Johnny Cage the Falcon of Mortal Kombat. He's not meant to be taken seriously, but he's not just comic relief either.
