You know what you like. And chances are, a lot of other teens feel the same way. From the stuff that gets your heart racing to the things you do when you're just trying to kill time, there's a whole universe of things that teens obsess over, argue about, and can't seem to get enough of. Some are obvious. Others might surprise you. Either way, they're here because someone out there thought, "Yeah, that deserves a spot."

Music

If music didn't exist, I don't know what I'd do with myself! I've been into it for as long as I can remember, and now as a teen, music has made an even bigger difference in my life. I love late '70s, '80s, and early '90s hard rock and heavy metal. Bands like AC/DC, Metallica, Def Leppard, Queen, and my all-time favorite, Van Halen! (David Lee Roth over Sammy Hagar, though Sammy had a few good songs. 5150 and OU812 are a couple of my favorite albums of theirs, but David is a better frontman in my opinion.)
I play a ton of instruments - electric guitar, cello, keyboard, drums, and I sing, to name a few. If it weren't for music to come home to after a long day at school or a run-in with a bully, I probably would be at the wrong end of a gun by now.
Music is a vice for us teenagers to use as we go through all the changes in our lives as we not only become adults in body but also in mind. It is a way for us to express ourselves and to pour out all of our emotions from the day.
Most of the people who follow bands and artists are teenagers because of this, and teenagers make up most of the consumers in the music industry.
Music overall is an amazing thing and a huge part of a teen's life for many reasons.
Internet

The internet lets me make friends with people from all over the world, and that's pretty great.

When you hear the word internet, people think it's just an entertainment device. But in a family as crazy as mine, it's part of everyday life!

The internet lets me talk to my friends that I moved away from and loved dearly.
Video Games

With the development and evolution of new video game consoles - Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PS4, and Nintendo GameCube - the gaming experience became much more fantastic and much greater than it first seemed. My favorite game console is the Sony PS4.

I love video games and spare animation. I've had Tomodachi Life since March 5, 2016, and I still love video games and socializing. I see lots of teens who feel the same way.

They really help me clear my mind, relax, or just have some plain fun every now and then.
Love and Dating

Everyone's curious about what dating is like and thinks having a boyfriend is cool. About 9 out of 10 people in our class want to have a love life. No one can ignore it.

I totally agree. I'm 16, and I don't know if it's just me, but when I see a hot guy, whether in public or even when I'm driving, they are on my mind.

The best plotlines, characterization, etc., I've seen have been in anime. It is severely underrated and misjudged just because of a few weird characters and fans.

How was anime not on this list yet? It isn't just nerds who love anime. Anyone can get into anime, just as anyone can get into cartoons and video games.

I love Dragon Ball and One Piece. They are amazingly good.
