Top Ten Most Surprising Teams of the 2018-19 NHL Season
Every NHL Season has surprises. For example last year the Golden Knights reached the finals, one of the biggest surprises of all time. This NHL Season may not be as crazy as last year, but there are some surprising teams. Which team of the 2018-19 NHL Season surprised you the most?
The Vancouver Canucks are an ice hockey team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. I personally thought they were going to finish in the bottom 5. I was wrong, they've got talent. Boeser, Petterson, Beartschi, and Horvat are few of Canucks great players. The question for the Canucks is can they stay consistent? I hope they will, I cheer for all the Canadian teams.
The Montreal Canadiens (French: Les Canadiens de Montréal) are a professional ice hockey team based in Montreal, Quebec. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. I'm a Habs fan. And I thought they were going to finish in the bottom 10. They still might, but it's looking better. I just am so happy they finally got offense, but they did lose their defense at the same time. I'm so glad they picked up Domi, and Tatar. Go Habs Go!
The Calgary Flames are a professional ice hockey team based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Flames are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. I feel like the Flames usual can't connect. So I wasn't expecting much this year from them, they're proving me wrong. I see Stanley Cup contenders here, their chemistry is quite amazing.
The New York Islanders are a professional ice hockey team based in the New York metropolitan area. They are members of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League. I thought that without Tavares they'd be garbage, but they're still playing well. I personally doubt they can keep it up, I think they'll finish in the bottom 5. But they surprised me.
The Minnesota Wild are a professional ice hockey team based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. I thought that they'd make the playoffs, but they're doing way better than I tough. At the moment they're 8-2-0, that's pretty dang good.
The New York Rangers are a professional ice hockey team based in New York City. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference. The team plays its home games at Madison Square Garden in the borough of Manhattan, an arena they share with the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). They are one of three NHL teams located in the New York metropolitan area; the others being the New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders. Another team that I thought would be absolute garbage. And again I was wrong. I doubt they'll make the playoffs still, but they're doing better than I thought.
The Edmonton Oilers are a professional ice hockey team based in Edmonton, Alberta. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. Connor McDavid is the only thing that is going well for them. So I thought they'd be doing worse than they are. McDavid will bring them a Stanley Cup some day.
The Winnipeg Jets are a professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. The Jets suprised me again this year. Every year I think they're going to do worse, but they surprise me again. I'm just so happy that Candian teams are contending for the cup.
The Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team based in Dallas, Texas. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. They are a very up and down team. They need to stay consistent. But I think that if they grow their chemistry a bit then they could do something.
The Arizona Coyotes are a professional ice hockey team based in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona. They sucked so much last year I didn't know what to expect. They aren't really that Good, but I thought they be crap.
