Top Ten Things that Should Happen in the Mario Franchise
I just had a few ideas and decided to make a full blown list.Tatanga should've been the main antagonist of the galaxy games. Why hasn't he shown up since SML2? If they strengthened him and made him the main antagonist of 3, then the third game would likely sell very well. The shroobs need to return as well: If only to tie up loose ends. Besides, their appearance in BIS practically told us that there is a portion of the shroob army that is still alive. They are just currently frozen solid in Bowser's cold storage. They could always return in the future.
I'm really getting tired of people complaining about how the "same story" happens every Mario game. Mario isn't about the story, it's more so about the gameplay that usually changes after each title.
Oh my goodness, I want this to be a thing so badly!
That's exactly what I was thinking
Game Styles: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario 3D World
Yeah, this isn't as easy as it sounds.
Waluigi may be a clone that was created to be Wario's partner, but I'm being serious here. Princess Peach and Toad each have a game while Waluigi has zero. Why not make Waluigi a detective? LOOK AT HIS MOUSTACHE! At least give him something! Even Birdo has Super Mario Bros 2!
...Oh, and I think this counts since technically Waluigi originated in the Mario Games.
Waluigi's Taco Stand?
Why didn't they do this? There were some unanswered questions. For one, is Dimentio actually dead? He faked his death before, so why couldn't he do it again and retreat? Who wrote the Dark Prognosticus? What exactly happened to Blumiere and Timpani at the end of the game?
...A sequel to this, or even a prequel, would have been excellent.
And people tell me TTYD is overrated when this is the overrated game. So sick of people praising this, as much as I love it.
Either a backstory to some of the characters, or what happened with Blumiere and Timpani afterwards. Or even both.
If it doesn't mean another Sticker Star, I'm down with a SPM for the switch.
Bowser is awesome, and if they keep him as a threat, he will stay that way(for now). However, they need to introduce new antagonists. Bowser will get old sooner or later. New villains would mean new boss fights, and new boss fights COULD mean new stages.
Or make a useless character turn into a villain! That's development!
This is a must as well. You can't have Toads, Goombas, Lakitus, and Magikoopas every game. You need ORIGINAL CHARACTERS. That's what SMRPG did right, that's what The M&L RPG's did right, and that's what the first 3 Paper Mario's did right as well. Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario 3D World also do this. Most other Mario games either don't do this very well, or don't do it all. They need to bring this back, as it looks like without Original Characters, the Paper Mario games are starting to hurt themselves.
I just want a platformer where you can play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, and Rosalina.
I'd rather them make this than Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games. Goodness, there's so much potential here, yet it could also fall flat on it's face.
I would prefer an RPG actually. Have the same creators of the M&L games make this.
I don't know where exactly this should take place, but I think it's a good idea.
Luigi and Daisy have not got married yet I think they should get married.
There actually was an animated Mario movie called Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach!. It was Japan-only, though and it came out way back in 1986.
