Top 10 Worst Warrior Cat Parents

This, in my opinion, is my list of the cruelest, twisted parents in Warrior Cats.

The Top Ten
  1. Rainflower

Rainflower is a RiverClan warrior from Erin Hunter's Warriors book series. She is the mother of Stormkit, who later becomes Crookedstar, and Oakkit. Rainflower is known for rejecting Stormkit after he disfigures his jaw, a decision that deeply affects his life and shapes his future.... read more

I hate Rainflower! She deserves to be here. I think she must go to the Dark Forest and fight Crookedstar during the Last Hope battle!

I think it will go like this:

Crookedstar went down from StarClan and fought next to other RiverClan cats. Suddenly he saw somebody who was really similar to him. It was Rainflower!

"Mum," Crookedstar called, "Why." Rainflower slammed into him.

"Oakheart is better than you! You are not my son anymore! I work for the Dark Forest, not StarClan! Also, you are bad because you don't listen to Mapleshade!" she growled. She slammed into Crookedstar again.

    "Mum, no."

"Stop it, Rainflower! Stop abusing your son!" a calm but angry voice rang. A gray and white tom leaped out and pinned her.

"Who are you?" Rainflower asked. "Stop caring about that!"

"I am Moonstorm from StarClan," the tom growled. "I am Crookedstar's friend, and I will keep calling him Stormstar! You ruined his life!" He bit Rainflower. Then she died.

  2. Lizardstripe

Shouldn't this be, like, number one? I understand that Rainflower is a terrible mother, but unlike Lizardstripe, she still loved one kit at the very least. Lizardstripe hated all her kits in general! Brokenstar would have been an amazing cat if raised by Yellowfang! I admit, I am upset with how Yellowfang didn't keep her kit, but oh well. Who agrees with me?

Okay, I'm just going to say, I'm not saying Brokenstar deserved to be treated like the best kit on planet Earth, but he didn't need to be treated like dirt! Maybe if Lizardstripe hadn't been such a jerk to him, then maybe he wouldn't be the idiot he is today. I don't HATE Brokenstar, I just dislike him. But I liked Ferncloud and he killed her, so.

Also, she treated her OWN kits like literal TRASH! I don't get people who do that. Why have kids if all you're going to do is abuse them and treat them like garbage? Just don't have kids then! Seriously, she called her, what, two-week-old kits brats, and then takes one look at Brokenkit and is like, "Oh, you're ugly, ew you're a kit, I hate you, go away, I hate you so much!" I don't understand!

Yes, I like Rainflower, but I still don't think she's a good parent, and Lizardstripe is no better. I detest Lizardstripe with every single fibre of my being. She's the worst mother (no, parent) ever. She's worse than Rainflower, Palebird, and Clear Sky combined, and no one can tell me different. I mean, Yellowfang's a pretty bad mom too, giving up Brokenkit to the worst mom ever, but at least she did it because she had to! She didn't abuse her kits because she felt like it. I hate Lizardstripe! She should go die in a hole! -FierceheartOfThunderClan

  3. Stormtail

Stormtail has to be the worst father in history! When I first read Bluestar's Prophecy, I was triggered at Stormtail 98.7% of the time. He didn't even care about Bluestar or Snowfur! He didn't even care about Moonflower either! Stormtail just spends all his time with Dappletail, and when Moonflower dies, he acts like he just met her yesterday! Like they weren't even close! Moonflower should have ditched Stormtail a long time ago!

If I could change something in the series, I would make some other cat that actually cared about Bluestar and Snowfur their father. Heck, I'd rather have a kittypet be their father than this cold-hearted mouse-brain! Stonepelt treated them better, and he wasn't even related to them! Stonepelt would have made a great father, but nope! Stormtail has to be their father! I feel bad for Bluestar, Snowfur, and Moonflower.

  4. Spiderleg

Spiderleg is the worst. He gets into fights with Daisy all the time, and he refused Daisy's gift to him when he got greencough in Long Shadows: Power of Three. He is so ungrateful. He completely ignored the idea that he is a father. He should be the first on this list. SPIDERLEG SUCKS.

I seriously hate Daisy. Spiderleg deserved better. Come on! He shouldn't be on this list. His kits were Daisy's. No wonder he didn't want them. Mistyfall.

Spiderleg and Daisy would have never worked out. Spiderleg's always been harsh.

  5. Brightflower

She is Yellowfang's mother and accused her daughter of killing her second litter after believing Brokenstar's lie. Before this accusation, she was portrayed as a devoted and caring parent. Her character reflects the emotional complexity found throughout the Warriors book series.

  6. Thistleclaw

Thistleclaw is a villain in the Warriors series. He is a gray-and-white tabby tom with spiky fur and amber eyes. Thistleclaw is known for his aggressive nature and plays a key role in the backstories of several main characters, including Tigerstar.

In my opinion, I think Thistleclaw was trying to make Whitestorm evil, but instead made Tigerstar's ambition grow as a cat.

He wanted to make Whitestorm evil. He failed and made Tigerstar evil instead.

    Bad parent through and through!

  7. Tom

He abused his mate, then rejected his kits. However, when he decided he wanted them, he went to the forest, got rejected, went back to the forest, stole them, lied to them and the forest cats, and took them to a dangerous place that they weren't allowed to be in. Then, when Turtle Tail went to find them, she was killed, and he didn't even care. Then, once they were safely home, he waltzed back into the forest like nothing happened. He was a jerk who didn't deserve to have kittens.

Tom stole his kits against their will, but he did that because he loved them.

  8. Millie

Millie is a character in the Warriors book series. She was originally a kittypet who became close to Graystripe, a ThunderClan warrior captured by Twolegs. She accompanied him on his journey back to the Clan, eventually became his mate, and is the mother of Bumblestripe, Blossomfall, and Briarlight.

I agree that Millie deserves this place on this list. She was a fine character and mom before Fading Echoes, even if she could be a little obsessive or overprotective of her kits. But when Briarlight became paralyzed, she changed for the worse. We barely see her with her other kits, and she was to the point obnoxious with Briarlight. I don't believe she abused Blossomfall and Bumblestripe, but she neglected them. Not even Graystripe was as insane about his daughter. And remember when Jayfeather and Millie got into a fight over pushing Briarlight too hard? And Millie whined about how Briarlight will never "run through the forest, hunt with her siblings, oh, what a sad, sad life!"? Honestly, I just thought that proved how psychotic Millie had gotten about her kit. And you don't yell at your kit who just came out of an underground tunnel that your other paralyzed daughter would make a better warrior than her.

  9. Sandgorse

He was a terrible father. He treated Tallstar like trash as an apprentice! I mean, your kit may not follow in your pawsteps, but don't blame him! He also yelled at him for what Dawnstripe told Heatherstar.

Sandgorse was a neglectful parent, but not really bad.

  10. Appledusk

Appledusk is a pale brown RiverClan tom from the Warriors book series by Erin Hunter. He plays a key role in Mapleshade's backstory and the events of the novella Mapleshade's Vengeance. Appledusk is known for his controversial relationship with Mapleshade, a ThunderClan cat.

Not only was Applefart cheating on Mapleshade, but Reedshine as well! Okay, so according to the Warriors Wiki, Mapleshade's kits were two moons (months) old when they died, and cats start getting pregnant for 58 to 67 days, or over two months. So, the moment Maple had her children, good old Applefart was off with Reedshine. None of you are changing my mind.

I don't like him at all. He liked Mapleshade and her kits, then full-on dumped her for stupid, STUPID Reedshine! She is the worst cat ever.

He didn't even want to LEARN THEIR NAMES! I cannot understand why he's lower than Mapleshade. At least she loved her kits! She loved them so much that she literally KILLED for them. I mean, COME ON PEOPLE, if you love your kits that much, you SHOULD NOT BE ON THIS LIST!

But back to Appledusk. He was cheating on Mapleshade! How's she not supposed to be pissed off? I love Mapleshade and think that Appledusk should've gone to the Dark Forest instead of Mapleshade.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Sol's Father

  13. ?

    Windstar

  14. The Contenders
  15. Palebird

Okay, guys, she wasn't a bad mom. At least, not in the purposeful way that Rainflower and Lizardstripe were. She had postpartum depression, something that is extremely difficult to deal with. If you've ever seen those news stories of moms killing their babies, this is often the cause. It's a serious mental issue that obviously wasn't helped with when Finchkit and Sandgorse died.

There are times when she tried to be happy but couldn't. People who've suffered from this mental disorder often cannot bring themselves to feel truly happy, especially when it comes to their children. And it's not like they want to be that way either. They have no choice about it.

Obviously, Tallstar wasn't paying a lot of attention to what his mother was doing while he was out plotting murder. Woollytail stepped in at some point and started to help Palebird work through what she was dealing with. By the time they had kits, Palebird was doing much better than she was before and had obviously improved in condition.

In short, Palebird was not a bad mother. At least, not by choice. Do not compare her to Rainflower, who genuinely disliked Crookedstar. Just don't.

  16. Hal

  17. Clear Sky

Clear Sky was a horrible father to begin with. He ignored the peril he set his mate in during The Sun Trail, resulting in her being carried off by a giant hawk whilst she was expecting his kits. Later on, he steals Gray Wing's mate and does nothing to stop her when she leaves his group expecting his kits.

Later, when Gray Wing came to his group with his only remaining son, even after he had heard that Storm had died with the others in a collapsing building and that he was his only current chance at becoming his father, he turned him away.

Moons afterwards, after the fire that enveloped his forest, Clear Sky offers to take Thunder in, which is a jerk move, considering he had thought much less of him before. It seems now that he only wants Thunder because he's older and has been taught how to hunt and fight. But okay, once Thunder accepted, it sounded like he just wanted to spend some quality time with his son and get to know him better.

Thunder, however, sees through him and realizes that his group is a horrible place to live. When Clear Sky had been running with some of the kits, they complained of getting too tired, and Clear Sky had simply told them to shake it off. He argued that he was older and slower, so he shouldn't be winning against kits who are still learning how to run and who have short, stubby legs. Who approved this man to be a father? Anyway, Thunder leaves his group, and Clear Sky despises him because of this.

A few books later, Clear Sky steals another cat's mate. This time, Thunder's. Yup, he stole his son's mate and had kits with her. This time he did become somewhat of a good father, turning around now that he had a proper family. He cared for his kits this time, and after saving some kits from a tree, all the while comforting them, he had a more positive experience. When his mate and kits were kidnapped, he saved them. He did all in his power to protect this new litter, and is now an actually good father.... read more

  18. Crowfeather

Crowfeather is the second worst in my opinion. Seriously, he completely ignores his son for no reason and pretends he doesn't exist! And when he does give his son attention, it's always negative! He didn't even know that he had kits with Leafpool! He is worse than Millie! They both sent their kits to the Dark Forest, but at least Millie liked one of her kits!

He treats Nightcloud like garbage, and is the reason Breezepelt went to the Dark Forest! Crowfeather led them to believe he hated them. If Nightcloud tried to talk to him, he would snap. Crowfeather never liked Breezepelt.

  19. Tigerstar

Tigerstar is a villain in the Warriors book series by Erin Hunter. He is the son of Leopardfoot and Pinestar, and the former mate of both Goldenflower and Sasha. He is the father of Bramblestar, Tawnypelt, Mothwing, Hawkfrost, and Tadpole.... read more

This post is hilarious. But Tigerstar is powerful. If he had been my father and had not been killed, I would have been proud. But I indeed know he's a bad parent. And even after Hawkfrost tried to please him, it ended up being his daughters who were good and his son who was bad. Well. Bramblestar is great, but he sometimes puts too much faith in family.

Yet, Tigerstar still favored Bramblestar because he got to be a deputy and leader. He didn't kill his kits, but he didn't love them either.

Tigerstar was a terrible parent. I don't know why Goldenflower fell for him. Brambleclaw doesn't deserve to have a father like that.

  20. Silverstream

Silverstream is a character created by Erin Hunter for the book series Warrior Cats. She is a sleek, soft-furred, slender silver-and-black tabby she-cat with a finely shaped head and bright blue eyes. She is the daughter of Crookedstar and Willowbreeze, the former mate of Graystripe, and mother of Feathertail... read more

She's a terrible parent. She died and left her kits! Who would do such a thing?

    Haha!

  21. Leafpool

Leafpool is a character in the Warrior Cats series. She is the daughter of Firestar and Sandstorm, sister of Squirrelflight, mate of Crowfeather, and mother of Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf. Leafpool serves as a medicine cat and plays a key role in many of the series' storylines.

I absolutely hate Leafpool. Don't try to change my mind or tell me I'm dumb because I just don't like her. She was stupid, and I think Crowfeather would have been better off with Feathertail.

I love Leafpool. She would have been a good parent if she were a warrior, but I think that Squirrelflight should have kept the Three.

I agree. If they're your kids, tell them you are their mother. Hollyleaf died because of Leafpool's lie.

  22. Pinestar

That foolish tom didn't know. Thanks to his selfishness, his kit grew up without a father. Did he expect his mate to get a new one? He doesn't know that when you get a mate it means you love only them? He became a kittypet so he could keep his last life, and Tigerclaw became a traitor out to show he was worthy. People say Thistleclaw made Tigerclaw evil, but duh, it was Pinestar.

One of the worst parents! I mean, he just up and left when Tigerkit was just a baby! What good parent does that?! He was also a coward for not wanting to lose his last life! What's better than dying for your Clan?! He would have walked with StarClan and been honored in memory!

  23. Nightcloud

Nightcloud is a muscular black she-cat with amber eyes and a warrior of WindClan. She served under the leadership of Onestar and Harestar. After Crowfeather returned to WindClan following his brief relationship with ThunderClan's medicine cat Leafpool, he became mates with Nightcloud.... read more

Nightcloud couldn't get Crowfeather to love her back because he sucks. So she resorted to what probably a lot of people would do. If the father of your child is not in his life, you SPOIL THAT BABY! She didn't turn him evil! She made him arrogant, yes, but not evil. THAT was Crowfood's fault.

Nightbrat is such a flawless, whiny Mary Sue! She encouraged her son to be a dirtbag! She's so selfish, and she's like a little princess. "Oh Crowfeather! Why don't you love me? I'm such a good mate to you, and our son is perfect." OF COURSE SHE'S ON HERE!

  24. Daisy

I have mixed feelings on Daisy. She was being all flirty and slutty to Cloudtail when she first joined ThunderClan, and was really mean to poor Brightheart about her scars. Cloudtail gently but firmly rejected her efforts to mate with him. She realized that he really didn't love her and instead loved Brightheart.

She backed off and started treating Spiderleg like she had treated Cloudtail. Spiderleg fell for her, and they had Rosepetal.

I never read the second series or third series after book one (which I did enjoy as much as the first series and Firestar's Quest). I only heard about the second series and read some excerpts, and I hated Daisy at this point because of every reason that I've voiced. After that, I read Bramblestar's Storm and felt that she had really matured because she became a great mother in that stand-alone book and was secure with one mate. I like Daisy now!

  25. Mapleshade

Mapleshade is a character in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. She is a large, tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with a scarred white muzzle and white patches throughout her pelt. Her fur is thick, especially around her neck like a mane, and her pelt is ragged and scarred. She has a broad muzzle and... read more

Mapleshade had no choice but to escape to RiverClan. In my opinion, both the ThunderClan and RiverClan leaders who had rejected Mapleshade should be sent to the Dark Forest since they not only didn't accept Mapleshade, but they also rejected kits! Young, helpless kits! And remember the Warrior Code? No matter what Clan the kit is from, a Clan cat must show mercy to them.

Kill her with all of hell's fire!

  26. Dustpelt

I think he was bad. He was there when they were tiny and left as they grew.

"He was just terrible, especially when it came to being a father."

  27. Berrynose

Berrynose is arrogant. I don't know why Honeyfern was so taken with him.

  28. Bluestar

Bluestar is a character in the Warrior Cats book series and served as a leader of ThunderClan. She broke the warrior code by becoming mates with Oakheart of RiverClan and giving birth to three kits: Stonefur, Mistyfoot, and Mosskit. Stonefur and Mistyfoot remained in RiverClan, while Mosskit tragically... read more

Thank God Bluestar is on here. I hate her so much, and she was a terrible mother. I actually made an angry rant about it on the Top Ten Best Mothers in Warriors.

I agree. She walked through a snowstorm with her kits, causing one of them to die. The only reason being that Thistleclaw might have become deputy, and we don't even know for sure he would have.

(Now, I do love Thistleclaw, but I still don't think he would have been the greatest leader.)

Finally, people understand that Bluestar is a horrible cat!

  29. Stick

Stick is a cat in the Super Edition "SkyClan's Destiny" that goes to SkyClan for help with rogues in the area that he lives in.

He was a rogue, and he was mates with Velvet, but he abused his daughter, Red. (Not Russetfur.)
