The General was funny in a sweet yet childish but rather mature kind of way - it was pretty good. Though when he got pissed, the sweetness just vanished, making him absolutely awesome!

For instance, in "Zuko Alone," when Earth Kingdom soldiers are bullying Zuko because some random kid threw eggs at them, we get this exchange:

Zuko: "Maybe a chicken flew over."
Such a welcome bit of levity in what was otherwise a really sad episode! Zuko may not be as funny as Toph or Sokka individually, but he's definitely a point of humor in the show.
