The oldest active park in MLB history, Boston's 1912 Fenway Park, is amazing and a significant part of modern-era Boston history. The 37-foot left-field wall is a masterpiece, and it takes a lot of care and precision to maintain Fenway as it is. The Green Monster contains the only hand-operated scoreboard left in the league, and the wooden seats are a part of the tradition in Boston. If anything were changed, it would be highly disappointing. Green Monster: Best seats in professional sports? Absolutely.
The field is awesome. I have been there three times, and it was awesome every time. I am a Red Sox fan, and every time I have been there, they lost, but the ballpark won.
The ballpark is expansive, with a 420-foot center field, and compact, with a 310-foot right field. The fans are always pumped up before, during, and after the game.
Yankees all the way! Amazing field, I just love it. Best stadium ever.
Way better than Yankee Stadium. The ivy-covered wall says so much. It's just so great, a tribute to the bygone days of our National Pastime.
Better than Fenway? I can't say that, but Wrigley is a great ballpark.
It's awesome because I saw a game in May, and I felt like a living god.
The Astrodome was the first domed stadium, named after one of the Wonders of the World.
This should be so much higher. The view is absolutely stunning.
It looks like a movie set because it's so beautiful it seems fake.
Pittsburgh is one of the best cities in America and hosts some of the best franchises of all time.
Absolutely the best view in baseball.
The right field wall is a thing of beauty in the design industry, and the location was picked perfectly, with McCovey Cove in the back. The brick style is a tribute to tradition, and I can definitely appreciate that.
(Coming from a Sox fan)
I've been here, and trust me, you should go too. It's just a unique stadium.
The fans were nice to me when I went to Baltimore, and everybody was just having fun.
The Newcomers
Great atmosphere. Calm, cool, and collected. Very laid-back, but we can get loud and rowdy.
Just a great place to watch baseball. Go Dodgers!
Next time I visit LA, I will take my mom to Chinatown, then make the 30-minute walk to Dodger Stadium.
Best stadium. Love the fans and the food.
Nothing against the park as it is, but I always think about how awesome it would be if the outfield wall (the top of the wall, I mean) was shaped with high points and low points to resemble the peaks of a profile of the Rocky Mountains.
Imagine a long fly ball that would have been a home run a foot to the left but fell back into play because it hit the top of Pikes Peak.
People love the Green Monster. People would love the Snow-capped Peaks.
Not many fans have been to Coors, I take it. If they had, it would place higher on this list. It's a classy ballpark.
You've got the train tracks, the train, the Crawford Boxes, Tal's Hill, the Citgo pump... This is NOT some cookie-cutter ballpark.
Oh, and I forgot - the retractable roof.
I love the bright colors and the nod to local styles. They deserve better fan support and attendance.
Just a solid ballpark to visit. You get that baseball feeling as soon as you walk in the gates.
Great atmosphere and fans!
It imbues you with a baseball vibe as soon as you pass through the turnstile.
Sweet, family-friendly park. Nice view of the city, plenty of palm trees, stadium built around a historic brick building.
People out west are relaxed, not highly competitive like back home, but still fun.
Great food and great turf, but not a lot of people there. The only bad thing is that everything is so expensive!
You know, it ticks me off that this wasn't up on the list. This stadium has it all - friendly area, the mascot, and the colors look beautiful. And you're saying this isn't good?
Well, I have something for you. The Mariners are not that popular, but that doesn't mean they don't have a good stadium. Come on, people, this got voted in the top five best stadiums ever.
T-Mobile Park is awesome. King's Court, great elephant ears, beautiful vistas, natural grass, and a retractable roof.
Great casual atmosphere, happy fans, and a good crowd - in a fun way.
Old-style feel, smart fans, downtown location, and always full - call ahead.
The hot dog race here is cute. Progressive Field also has famous stadium mustard, which was invented there. They have great food, including sausage dogs (like hot dogs but with sausages), and there are gluten-free hot dogs too!
This is dumb. This should be way higher. I've been, and it's amazingly beautiful.
Harken back to the days of yesteryear. What's not to like? 485 feet to center, 279 to left, 280-something to right - wow. And Willie Mays' 1954 catch with his back to the plate, off Vic Wertz of the Indians in the World Series - greatest catch ever. Wow.
All-time? With its unique horseshoe configuration, the Polo Grounds should definitely be in consideration.
This is a great ballpark. It is so cool when the Reds pitcher throws a strikeout because fire blows from this huge torch.
Think they call it that for no reason? Astonishing and amazing!
