With both Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison out, the undrafted free agent of 2018 gave Rodgers a target when he needed it the most. He caught four passes for 65 yards, including a ridiculous 35 yard touchdown reception from a great Aaron Rodgers throw. Still, the Packers absolutely need to trade for a receiver if they really want to be contenders.
Rodgers proved he is still among the NFL’s elite quarterbacks on Monday Night, somehow passing for two touchdowns and managing a win with all undrafted free agents at wide receiver at one point in the game. Still one of the NFL’s best.
The fairly mediocre Pack is 5-1 because of this man.
Smith had another big game, with 1.5 sacks, both of which were on 3rd down. Now, he’s third in the NFL with 7 sacks this season. An amazing free agent acquisition.
The other Smith also had a great game, with a sack and teaming up with Preston Smith to get after Matthew Stafford. Smith has 6 sacks this season, also in the top ten in the NFL. Another amazing free agent acquisition.
Williams stepped up after Aaron Jones’ struggles in the first half. He had over 100 rushing yards and over 130 scrimmage yards, and a receiving touchdown. His best play of the game was his 40 yard burst.
Crosby was perfect on the night, making all three of his field goals, including the game winner. His Lambeau Leap was also amazing.
Lowry had a notable game, but not many noticed it. He was the Packers best run-stopper of the game, holding Kerryon Johnson to about 30 yards for the whole game.
The longtime NFL veteran is now a threat in the receiving game, with two notable receptions for first downs, and they were long ones too.
Valdes-Scantling went out of the game at one point with an ankle injury, but came back after halftime and caught a big reception downfield. He gave the Packers offense energy in the second half.
