They did give supplies, which inevitably would have gained Britain the supplies that it needed. However, once the USA joined the war, it only really focused on Japan. Britain had to take down the Nazi empire AND the Italians. They at one point were against the whole of the axis powers alone. They had no allies, their closest friend, France had been overthrown in a month, The USA refused to give any men to aid the cause and we were extremely low on supplies. Nevertheless, Britain, by the grace of God, pulled through. They maintained naval supremacy in the atlantic, baltic seas, meditteranian and so may other places. They wrecked the Lufttewaffe, all but destroyed the surface fleet of the Kriegsmarine and destroyed many of its u-boots. By itself alone, and the speeches of a certain man in a bowler hat, the United kingdom, the greatest empire of all time, defeated the German empire of the 20th century. Truly the greatest nation of World war one and two.
