We've all seen fake news.Whether it's a story on your local channel about a group of hapless FB users who were tricked into yet another political scandal, or joke article on the Internet taken WAAAY to seriously, fake news alters our lives in a lot of ways.
On this list, I take a DIFFERENT perspective on fake news.

It truly is. Try clicking an article that you know is 100% fake just by looking at the title.
Fake news articles get MUCH more attention that real news articles.

News organizations need to WAKE UP. They should've realized by now that people aren't going to read a long, drawn out article about the economical position of France compared to DC. People want to read something that EXCITES them, as well as informs them.
THAT'S why people turn to fake news--Article #2.

That's like saying Wikipedia is good for being misleading and better factual sites aren't because they don't mislead.
On T.V., ads come on every 5 minutes. Or they'll give you a story that, for once, CAPTURES YOUR INTEREST, and then you'll have to wait through 4 long stories and 10 commercial breaks to see it...only to find out that the anchor only shows one short clip of the story.
At least fake news sites are doing the news because they ENJOY it (trolling), not because they want money.
Well, in terms of politics, this really is a matter of opinion (there's no doubt trump's stupid though).

The BEST fake news site...EVER! I gained more political knowledge from it than NASA, National Geographic, Sesame Street, the History Channel, and Bill Nye the Science Guy COMBINED!

Seriously, no gives a crap. The worst is when they report on some celebrity nobody knows about. If you're gonna give us some low-quality news, at least do it right. No one cares if a D-list, I-list, C-list, or K-list celebrity goes to a bar that some A-list celebrity went to 5 months ago.

I first saw the National Enquirer in one of those hanging wire basket things at Walmart. Just by looking at the cover, I could TELL it was fake news. It was some Hillary-Trump email scandal about them working together to create some secret documents, and I LOL'D so hard. The Nat. Enquirer puts HUGE headlines, and adds uneccessary pictures to cover up for their lack of info.
Like they'd put, "[Event] happened just after Bill Clinton walked his weiner dog." then they'd put a picture of the dog from 2008. Like, WHO THE HELL CARES? Not to mention, the picture is old, and if you Google, "Bill Clinton weiner dog" something else might show up. (If ya'll know what I mean)
Despite all these downsides, people STILL listen to the Nat. Enq. We have to applaud them for bridging the gap -- mixing real AND fake news, and STILL nobody has noticed!

Clarification for all you old peeps :) 👉Not everything old must go, but some things do. This is why I like the local morning shows. They have young, lively anchors who don't have the slightest memory of Julius Caesar's assassination.
TL; DR: The news would be fun with more people who are "in the times."
