Top Ten Low Funded NASCAR Drivers

I could imagine him racing the #17 at Roush Fenway in the near future if Stenhouse Jr. doesn't perform sooner or later.

He's talented, but he never got a chance to drive in a good car. He won in a low funded team car in the Nationwide Series, against Roush and Hendrick and other big name teams. That takes talent.

Iceman drove for Hendrick, one of the top NASCAR teams at the time of his arrival, and swept more wins and the 96' WCS champion during this stint. He also drove for Junior Johnson. So I don't understand how he got on this list. If he raced for Billy Hagan or other teams with the same funding, then I may still be skeptical of his inclusion in here because those teams may had less funding that the Goliaths of NASCAR, but it was still a lot in comparison to some other smaller teams.

I don't understand why B. Labonte is on this list as he already won a top-tier series championship and won 21 races for Joe Gibbs Racing, which was one of the top teams in NASCAR. Also, he drove for Petty Enterprises after his stint at JGR not before. I can't guarantee you that if he joins Hendrick or RCR that he'll win even more as his demise began after 2005.

He's won a championship, and I think he deserves better rides and he will do good

Front-Row Joe. Has ben around for over 20 years can qualify well then fades into a backmarker probably has more to do with his team and equipment, however qualifying is one thing running the race is another

Used to be a start and park team but casey has carried them to a top 25 team

Casey Mears should be first. Almost won the Sprint Unlimited in 2015

Casey is my favorite driver. He needs better equipment
