I used iTunes because it was easy to use, but sometime around 2011, it tried modernizing and just became a cluttered mess (it's a little better now). After iTunes, I tried Rhapsody. It had cool features, but it would freeze all the time. I tried a few others, but I couldn't shake off the feeling they were spam or malware.
After some research, I found MediaMonkey. It's a bit of a mix of Rhapsody and old iTunes. Not perfect, but good. It balances volume levels and transitions songs really well.
