Top Ten Most Misunderstood Fictional Characters

The Top Ten
1 Trixie Lulamoon (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) Trixie Lulamoon, is a female unicorn pony and traveling magician. She tends to speak in the third person and refer to herself as "The Great and Powerful Trixie".

Why the heck is Trixie at #1? He is nothing but a bratty, arrogant unicorn pony who boasts constantly about being the "great and powerful" and speaks in third-person. She's definitely not misunderstood, since many people know who she is and what her character is. Karel from Fire Emblem, on the other hand, is far more misunderstood than Trixie will ever be and I think he should be #1 on this list.

Mind you would add images to every character on this list, like how this one has an image? I want everyone to see who they are.

I think she's so irritating and funny at the same time.

Is no one else looking for Severus Snape on here?!?!?

2 Princess Celestia (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) Friendship is Magic." As the ruler of Equestria, she is depicted as wise, benevolent, and possessing magical powers. Princess Celestia raises the sun and governs alongside her sister, Princess Luna. Her mentorship of Twilight Sparkle is a central element of the show's storyline, emphasizing leadership, friendship, and responsibility.

Even though I dislike MLP, Princess Celestia is a nice pony, but her sister is a better character than her.

I hate all the adult jokes, "cupcakes" etc on a KID show. It stinks..

She's not a troll, a molester, or even a dictator.

I love Celestia so much she's my favorite pony, and it's sad to say but she is deffunately miss understood. Just because she vanished Luna to the moon once she vanishes everything to the moon, but also NO ONE EVER THINKS OF ALL THE PAIN IT CAUSED HER AND SHE WAS CONSTANTLY REMINDED THAT SHE HAD TO BANISH HER OWN SISTER

3 Mario (Mario series) Mario, originally named Jumpman, is the main character of the Super Mario Bros. franchise, created by the creative director and video game designer at Nintendo of Japan, Shigeru Miyamoto. Mario has appeared in almost every Mario game, including games in spin-off series as a playable character, with few exceptions including New Super Luigi U, Luigi's Mansion games, Yoshi's Island games, and similar counterparts. He is the most iconic character in video game history and is Nintendo's unofficial mascot. His franchise has grown to be the most successful video game franchise of all time.

Often hated by some of the Sonic fandom for being Sonic's rival in the classic console wars, or even no reason at all. Seriously. If it weren't for Mario, there would be no Sonic.

He is an animal killing, animal abusing crappy video game character w

He's not a psychopath!

4 Princess Peach (Mario Series) Princess Peach is a major character in the Mario Bros. Franchise. She is the lead female of the The Mario franchise. She is usually the character who needs saved in most Mario Games, but also has appeared as a playable character in the Main-Series Mario Games, including Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Run, and even starred in her own game, Super Princess Peach for the Nintendo DS. She has appeared in many spinoff series, too, including Mario and Sonic Olympic Games, the Mario Kart series, the Mario Party series, Mario Sports Games, the Super Smash Bros. Series, and many more.
5 Bowser (Mario series) Bowser is the main antagonist of the Mario Bros. Franchise. From kidnapping Princess Peach to simply destroying a fun game between Mario and Friends in the Mario Party spinoff series, this king of the Koopas has set up a certain hatred towards himself amongst the large cast of Mario Characters. He first appeared in the 1985 popular videogame, Super Mario Bros., in which he was responsible for kidnapping Princess Toadstool (more commonly known as Princess Peach), which was released in Arcades and on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Videogame System.

Did you know that his ego gets in the way of everything?

6 Pyro (Team Fortress 2)

Some people don't know what gender Pyro is.

7 Princess Luna (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)
8 Dr. Eggman (Sonic series) Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik is a fictional video game character and the main antagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, created by Sega.

Dr. Eggman has diabetes

9 Toadette (Super Mario) Toadette is a character in the Mario series. She is a female Toad who first appeared in the Nintendo GameCube video game Mario Kart: Double Dash.
10 Rainbow Dash (MLP) Rainbow Dash is a female Pegasus pony from the 2010 kids' show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She represents the element of loyalty and is one of the six main characters on the show.

Some fans see her as a jerk or as Sonic's love interest when she's none of those. Being hot-headed is not the same as being a jerk.

Agreed, she is not a heartless bully. Just hot-headed. There's a difference.

Most Of The TopTens Sees Her As A Heartless Bully.
But I Think She Is Not A Bully At All, Sure She Can Be A Little Mean Sometimes, But It's All Unintentional.
Bullying Is Planned

11 Robin (Mad Father)
12 Voldemort (Harry Potter) Lord Voldemort is a fictional character and the central main antagonist in J. K. Rowling's series of Harry Potter novels. Voldemort first appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which was released in 1997.
13 Squidward Squidward Tentacles is a fictional character voiced by actor Rodger Bumpass in the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Squidward is like a cousin to grumpy cat

14 Puppet/Marionette (Five Nights at Freddy's 2)
15 Dan (Dan Vs)
16 The Bergens (Trolls)
17 Roshan (Ice Age)
18 Slippy Toad

People see him as an annoying snot who deserves to be shot, yet Slippy manages to be a helpful teammate of Fox when it comes to finding out enemy weaknesses. He is not that bad.

19 Serena (Pokemon) Serena has proven to be a kind and polite girl but she can also be openly rebellious towards her mother, Grace. In Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!, she refused to wake up when Grace ordered her to, and gave a sassy response to her mother's call to watch the news. This tumultuous relationship was best demonstrated when Grace made her practice Rhyhorn riding, an activity Serena had hated doing. However, their relationship is also very loving as shown in later episodes. Although shown to have a strong will, Serena can be sensitive and insecure at times as seen in Battling with Elegance and a Big Smile!. When she was frustrated with her Pokémon, she lashes out when at her limit and leaves ...read more.

She's not misunderstood. She's overrated. People wanted her to be in Alola to get together with Ash, but Ash doesn't return her feelings. He's too dense

20 Hideyoshi Kinoshita (Baka and Test)
21 Yoshi ( Mario series)
22 Shadow the Hedgehog Shadow the Hedgehog is a character who appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series released by Sega. He is an artificially created black and red hedgehog whose hover shoes propel him at extreme speeds that rival those of Sonic.

You all know that this was coming. Aside from stealing the spotlight from other Sonic characters, Shadow is also misunderstood by many because he is wrongfully seen and mistaken as an emo, a 'Blood Knight', or a creepy serial killer with no remorse. Last time I have checked, he is none of those. He does care for others that he considers to be his 'best friend' (I.e. Maria, Rouge, Omega), and even if he turned into an anti-hero in later installments, he's still Sonic's archrival.

I also don't want Shadow being similar or compared to Karel from Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword because Karel is a different kind of anti-hero (one that was never villainous and was on the hero side all along) than Shadow is. If any character Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword were to parallel Shadow, it would be Jaffar, not Karel. (Why? cause both Shadow and Jaffar started out as villainous or on the villains' team at first before joining the heroes, and both had a female best friend)

23 Funtime Foxy (Sister Location) Funtime Foxy is one of the seven animatronics (twelve if the Custom Night animatronics are counted) and an antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location. It is a circus-themed version of Foxy. It is also one of the entertainers of the Funtime Auditorium (which is located to the east of Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental), the other being Funtime Freddy (although he isn't seen in the auditorium)... read more
24 Braixen (Pokemon) Braixen is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in the Pokémon franchise's sixth generation. It evolves from Fennekin and is characterized by its witch-like appearance and the twig it carries. Braixen's twig can be used to cast spells and generate flames for attacks. Its design reflects its potential for both offensive and magical abilities in battles.
25 Lars (Steven Universe)

I hate when people call Lars a douche or gross because of the way he looks and acts. Yes, he may act like an douche sometimes but he's just doesn't know how to treat people and his so obsessed with fitting in that he does stupid stuff.

He is not mean
