Top Ten Best Offensive NBA Teams Coming Into the 2019-20 SeasonOffense is a very big part of the game. Something that is perfected and brought to a science. It is the way you score points. You can score in multitudes of ways and it is the coaches responsibility to build an offense that can do that. The teams on this list will be based off of coach system and the players themselves.
The Top Ten
I think the Lakers will have the best offense. First let's look at the coaches. We got Frank Vogel who isn't bad and we got some pretty good assistants with Jason Kidd and Lionel Hollins. They have very defensive minded coaches, but just look at this team overall. LeBron and AD is an instant success. They have LeBron playing Point with AD at his natural position. I love both of those moves. They got Danny Green who is a lights out three point shooter. They got Kyle Kuzma and they will probably have a dominant big man coming off the bench.
This Bucks team is still a high powered monster. They got Giannis and they kept Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and added a few more pieces. Bud Ball was one of best offenses last year and expect it to be excellent again. If Giannis takes another step in his shot he may be in contention for GOAT down the line.
The Rockets have a very dynamic offense. First a Mike D'Antoni offense will always be on this list. Second I think Harden and Westbrook can play well together and Capela can provide a dump down to these two at all times and Westbrook can get Harden some open looks. Lastly they have pretty good shooters around them.
In my opinion one of the most underrated team in the league. This offense is going to be really good. We get to see Luke Walton run this team and he likes playing fast basketball and that fits in with this team identity. They obviously have De'Aaron Fox who might already be a top ten point in the league. They have a much improved Buddy Heild to make big shots. They have Bogdan Bogdanovic as a fire starter. Then of course they will have a second year Marvin Bagley. This Kings team is scary.
I mean Kyrie is one of the best players in the league offensively and DeAndre Jordan is a good roll option. I would put them a lot higher, but they will be without KD for at least most of the season. I love Caris Levert either off the bench as a 6th man or starting. In case DeAndre Jordan doesn't work out they got Jarrett Allen and Spencer Dinwiddie for Kyrie. They also got some excellent shooters, especially Joe Harris. That is all capped off by Kenny Atkinson genius.
Mike Conley boosts this team tremendously. Him and Donovan could work out well. Getting Bojan was smart as well. He can provide a lot of punch either off the bench or in the starting lineup.
Luka and Porzingis. I think that is enough said. Rick Carlisle is a great coach and the Mavericks are known to do it right. They also have a very solid point in Jalen Brunson and if they can get shooters this team will be an offensive juggernaut.
The Warriors are on this list because of Curry. He could go back to MVP status this year because he simply has to carry. We will get to see if Steve is truly a good coach since he will be without Klay and Durant and this will be first time he is truly tested.
I mean Joel Embiid is the best Center in the league and Ben Simmons is a top 20 player at the least. They also kept a third scorer in Tobias Harris and got Josh Richardson who is one of the best role players in the league. Brett Brown is also an good offensive coach.
The only reason they are this low is because of the overall age of this team. This team might be number 1 in a few years. We always have to start with Zion. Zion is just a pure beast. Lonzo has the potential to be a top 5 guard in this league. He might already be the best passer. Brandon Ingram is a great all-around player. J.J. Redick can flat out shoot and on occasions so can Josh Hart.
The Suns honestly have potential, but they have just sucked. Devin Booker is truly a premier scorer though and the Suns adding Ricky Rubio could help DeAndre Ayton get involved. They have the possibility of having a dynamic offense. Probably the best since Steve Nash and Amare Stoudamire.
The Heat definitely have the potential. Jimmy Butler is a premier player. If they can surround him with the right pieces it could be big. Erik Spoelstra is a great coach as well. One of the best in my opinion.
I can see a little awkwardness with Kawhi and PG offensively. They definitely have great scorers though with Kawhi, PG, Lou Williams, and Montrezl Harrell. Doc Rivers is a great coach as well.
I mean Blake Griffin is a great scorer and we could see a revitalized Derrick Rose.
Karl Anthony Towns
I love the offense the Hawks have created. Trae Young is a great scorer and he has great pieces around him.
I mean they still got Dame and CJ. They got a dynamic roll big man in Hassan Whiteside and they got another traditional big man that had a huge season last year in Jusuf Nurkic.
