Top Ten Reasons to Hate Super Mario 64

The Top Ten
1 It's a Nintendo Game

Too many people give Nintendo hate these days. Look at some of the amazing games Nintendo has released, for example, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the wild which came out earlier this year was one of, if not the best game of 2017! People really need to reevaluate their life's priorities and stop hating on other companies and their games! A game doesn't need to be a first person shooter to be considered good!

You tell that idiot who made this list, Nintendofan126! Oh, and this game is the greatest Nintendo game ever by it's graphics, soundtrack and level combined! This list is the worst list ever!

I agree, this list is terrible, but I think you people should just ignore it, rather than voting on it and making the list more popular.

Nintendo is the worst gaming company ever they ruined gaming and THEY'RE STILL OUT THERE!

2 The Graphics/Visuals

Reasons number 1 and 2 are pretty biased and don't really show why this game is specifically bad, so I'm just guessing that the old graphics are why this whole list was made.

The graphics are nearly two decades old. They haven't aged all that well, but Super Mario 64 is still one of my favorite video games of all time!

You morons, Super Mario 64 was made in 1996. What would you expect from a game made around that time?

The graphics are amazing for their time and the game still looks great

3 It's a Platformer

Platformers are horrible with the exception of Sonic The Hedgehog and Crash Bandicoot.

No he doesn't and you are scum of the world for saying that.

Seriously? This is Just The DUMBEST Reason Ever!

4 The Music

The music is the worst! Aside form Mario kart 7, at least! Also, check out top ten reasons why super Mario galaxy is the worst video game ever!

While it's good I agree it's among the weaker in the mario series

This game has some of my favorite gaming music ever!

The music in the Bowser Levels is AWESOME!

5 It's a rip-off of Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic was inspired by Mario 1st of all. Also Mario did not rip off sonic with this game and I should know because I am a sonic fan unlike you. You see, Sonic is based off on speed and platforming while Mario is just a platformer alone. If Super Mario 64 really did rip off sonic, then he will rip off his speed and style which he certainly didn't. I will admit Mario did rip off Sonic's air bubbles but that's it. I don't think you know Sonic's games. So before you yell out it's a rip off, do your research.

Sonic Adventure is the ripoff of Super Mario 64!
I still love this game, though. Now kill this 0% good list!

Uh, you do realize that the 3D Sonic games came out about 3 YEARS after this game!

Sorry troller, but it's the other way around.

6 Terrible Physics

This game has terrible physics (So bad that I can't even catch the rabbit with the key and I am a great gamer)... My advice, if you want a good 3D Super Mario game then I recomend you Super Mario 3D Land/ World. You will not be disappointed.

I agree on that

7 It's a rip-off of Crash Bandicoot

First the list creator says it rips off Sonic the Hedgehog, and NOW it says this? Which did it rip off exactly? Actually no, it didn't rip off either, it was its own game.

You tell him, HeavyDonkeyKong. Super Mario 64 is so great, like Crash Bandicoot! Ah, the 5th generation era of gaming, I was born that time.

The only good Mario Game that was ever mad ewas the very original Suepr Mario Bros! After that Nintendo REALLY BLEW IT BIG TIME!

This list is terrible! Super Mario 64 ROCKS!

8 The Stars

What does the stars have to do with it being bad?

SUper Mario 64 is a bad game. I swear, it sucks

They are good

9 Princess Peach is in the Game

Yeah? Who cares? Not me at least!

She is hardly in the game

10 It Was a Launch Title

You shouldn't got the game when it was first out.

The Contenders
11 Only 1/3rd of the levels are good.

Big Boo's Haunt, Dire Dire Docks, Wet Dry World, Jolly Roger Bay, and Whomp's Fortress are any good. The rest are either mediocre (Bob-Omb's Battlefield, Cool Cool Mountain, Tall Tall Mountain, Hazy Maze Cave, and Snowman's Land), or just complete trash (Lethal Lava Land, Shifting Sand Land, Tiny Huge Island, Tick Tock Clock, and Rainbow Ride). When you combine 1/3rd good with 1/3rd mediocre, and 1/3rd horrible, you get a sub-average experience at best. I wanted to love this game because of fond childhood memories but it just gets worse and worse over time. The feeling that I get from beating a level goes from: "That was awesome! Let's go to the next one! " to: "Finally I'm finished with that crap and can move on to something be- oh wait, the next level is even worse." I cannot tell you how many times the rage-inducing levels have caused this game to go into my trash can or how much longer it'll be before I decide that it fits with the trash better than it fits with my other games and ...more

12 Recycled Music

Recycling: Great for the environment, bad for a soundtrack. Name one level theme that doesn't get reused (Peach's Castle doesn't count since it's just the hub world and not an actual level). Here's a list of every instance of recycled music that occurs in Super Mario 64:

Bob-Omb Battlefield theme is reused for Whomp's Fortress (which is the very next level so that makes the laziness even more pronounced), Tall Tall Mountain, and Tiny Huge Island (which comes right after Tall Tall Mountain just to ensure that you know that the song is recycled).

Jolly Roger Bay's theme is reused in Dire Dire Docks (slightly altered, yes but still reused) and the secret aquarium.

Cool Cool Mountain's theme is reused in Snowman's Land.

Big Boo's Haunt is probably the only level here that doesn't have it's theme reused.

Hazy Maze Cave has it's theme reused in Wet Dry World.

Lethal Lava Land has it's theme reused in Shifting Sand Land (the very next ...more

Why is that a problem? Dumb logic is surrounding this list a lot lol
