Top 10 Video Game Companies With the Most Annoying Fanbases

The Top Ten
1 Nintendo Nintendo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese multinational consumer electronics and software company headquartered in Kyoto, Japan.

Nintendo was founded in 1889 as Nintendo Karuta by craftsman Fusajiro Yamauchi and originally produced handmade hanafuda playing cards. After venturing into various lines of business during the 1960s and acquiring a legal status as a public company, Nintendo distributed its first console, the Color TV-Game, in 1977. It gained international recognition with the release of Donkey Kong in 1981 and the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Mario Bros. in 1985. ...read more.

I am a Nintendo fan. I hate most Nintendo fans. E3 is just around the corner. And all I hear are Nintendo fans complaining about new Nintendo Directs every year. Just shut up. Nintendo can do what they want, even though they hate their fans and copyright-strike videos that use Nintendo music. They also complain about new Kirby games getting announced, such as "It's going to be the same as last one!" when HAL does everything they can to introduce new and exciting stuff to the franchise, even though the franchise has been milked like hell. Nintendo may be a perfect company, but most fans ain't. If you want good Nintendo fans, take a look at Chuggaaconroy and Nathaniel Bandy. They respect other's opinions.

Okay, I like Nintendo. They make great games. They make fun games, but fans treat them as the GODS of the gaming industry. Like any other gaming company, they have their flaws. Stop treating them like every single game they make is a masterpiece! I also can't stand Mario Kart fans! There are kart games that are better than ANYTHING Mario Kart has released (CTR, Sonic & All-Stars Racing), but every time they do release, people always use MK as the standard to judging the game instead of looking at it as its own thing. Gaming media like IGN and Gamespot ALWAYS mention MK whenever they review a kart game, always pandering to that series. Just shut the hell up about Mario Kart already! Nintendo is a great company, but they are not PERFECT.

I won't deny how revolutionary they've been to the gaming industry back in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, nor how ridiculously top-notch most of their game library in general has been in terms of overall quality (Super Metroid being released all the way back in 1994 and single-handedly becoming one of THE all-time largest sub-franchises in video game history, along with 1990's Super Mario World, thanks to ROM hacks, for example)...
but my GOD, has this company devolved into a complete nostalgia-obsessed, Mario-milking meme-lord (as much as I love the new Smash Bros games, the absolutely RIDICULOUS amount of hype surrounding those games isn't exactly helping Nintendo's case in that regard either, nor is the fact that they are STILL making embarrassingly underpowered consoles apart from the 3DS; seriously, how DARE they after how powerful the Gamecube was for its time)

They start a lot of flame wars! Also they attack you if don't like Nintendo, they are also likely to call you a Call of Duty fanboy, even if you don't like Call of Duty as well, sure I have saw some Nintendo haters that are COD fans but not all Nintendo haters are COD fans.

2 Electronic Arts Electronic Arts, Inc., also known as EA Games, is an American developer, marketer, publisher and distributor of video games headquartered in Redwood City, California.

Yes, EA has a fanbase. Sounds crazy, I know, but that fanbase revolves around their SPORTS games. Every year, idiots like vulnerable children, gamblers, and sports betters pander to the laziness of roster updates for every sports game every year, and for full price. Full prices for a series that is even more repetitive than Call of Duty and more manipulative and greedy, luring these people into purchasing expensive microtransactions and making EA's microtransaction system in these games alone the most profitable practice they have, earning more than $100M ever year. Dumb ass NBA 2K fans, Madden fans, and ESPECIALLY FIFA fans constantly buy into these sinister Pay 2 Win features every YEAR. So many people around the world just being retarded. I'm so done! EA needs to die already. I'm so done with this god damn company! Kill them already. Jesus bro, it's like I'm watching a dog slowly bleed out with all of its legs chopped off. Just die already!

Greediest gaming company out their

How do they have a fanbase, I ask?

Wait. They have a fanbase?

3 Sega Sega Games Co., Ltd., originally short for Service Games and officially styled as SEGA, is a Japanese multinational video game developer and publisher headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with multiple offices around the world.

The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has one of the worst fanbases in the gaming industry. Okay, yeah, I do love the Sonic franchise. I loved Sonic CD, Sonic 3, Generations, Mania, All-Stars Racing, Colors, Riders, Rush, Unleashed... well, yeah the series has had a lot of great releases under its belt, but it's also had AWFUL releases! Sonic Forces is one of the most overrated games I've ever played, and it's all thanks to the heavily persistent fanbase, trying so hard to convince you that the game brought the series back. No. No it didn't. Sonic Mania is what brought it back. Sonic Forces is an unfinished mess. It's not crazy bad, but if you're comparing it to the standards of Sonic Generations or Unleashed, that game ain't shizz.

I like the two Sonic Adventure games and Sonic Heroes, plus Unleashed and Colors, they are great modern Sonic games. Sonic '06, Secret Rings, Black Knight, Lost World, the Boom series, and Forces... they suck.

They always start flame wars with Nintedo fanbrats on saying that Mario or Sonic is better, THERE BOTH GOOD, also the Nintendo and Sega wars ended a long time ago.

Dude you sound upset over petty things, is something bothering you?

4 Activision Activision Publishing, Inc. is an American video game publisher. It was founded on October 1, 1979 and was the world's first independent developer and distributor of video games for gaming consoles.

I understand the point of this list, but it seems rather unnecessary to include Activision or Sega on this list, since it's really just one franchise of each of the two game companies that have the very annoying fans. Have you ever heard of very annoying fans of Shenmue, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Jet Grind Radio, Vectorman, or Virtua Fighter?

Call of Duty fanbase is nowhere near as big as it used to be few years ago, at this point they're harmless, compared to Fortnite and PUBG communities.

Call of Duty obsessed 9-year-olds who LIKE the mediocre, lazily made new CoD games.

They have a lot of once a year games like Call of Duty and skylanders that died

5 Epic Games

People don't even look at their other games. They just hate Fortnite

These are the guys who made Fortnite. Enough said, really.

Nah, more like one of the most annoying hater bases

6 2K Games 2K Games, Inc. is an American global developer, marketer, distributor and publisher of video games, like Borderlands, Civilization V, The Darkness, NBA 2K and more recently, WWE 2K.

Like Activision, I'll sum it up with this:

"NBA 2K fanboys"
No need to say anymore than that.

7 Microsoft Microsoft Studios is the video game production wing for Microsoft, responsible for the development and publishing of games for the Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Games for Windows, Steam, Windows Store, and Windows Phone platforms.

I've seen some of the best examples of the worst fanbases with Microsoft. I've seen it with Sony's fanbase too, but Microsoft fanboys are on another level when it comes to being the worst fanbase. They keep talking about the Xbox One X and it's 4K 60 fps. Worst part is, they keep harassing gamers who bought a PS4 instead of an Xbox One. Like seriously, those Microsoft fanboys forget the bigger picture and what really matters, which is that it doesn't matter which console people use. It's a matter of taste. It's like they need validation for the choice they made when they bought an Xbox.

Start flame wars with Nintendo and PlayStation fans.

8 Square Enix Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game developer, publisher, and distribution company that is best known for its role-playing video game franchises, which include the Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts role-playing game series.

Square Enix is a very reliable company. I've always been a Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts fan, and they've released many other outstanding games like Tomb Raider, NieR: Automata, and Hitman. But like Nintendo, their major fanbase is quite annoying as they treat the company like they're so perfect, yet they are NOT. They've released many stinkers in their lineup, and honestly, I actually believe that they are starting to veer off too much into paid DLC practices.

9 Capcom Capcom Co., Ltd., or Capcom, is a Japanese developer and publisher of video games, known for creating multi-million-selling franchises such as Mega Man, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Ace Attorney, and Monster Hunter, as well as highly successful games based on the Disney animated properties.

Mega Man and Street Fighter have good fanbases

10 Sony Sony Group Corporation, commonly known as Sony and stylized as SONY, is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Kōnan, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. ...read more.

Sony has gone downhill ever since they moved to Silicon Valley. And let me tell you three abbreviations: SJW. They censored games and they support the minority of the group to the Internet. My PS3 don't have censored games, so thank god. Thankfully, I don't want a PS4 after hearing this. :/

They always start fights with the Nintendo and Microsoft fandoms and it's annoying.

Annoying fanbase. They support SJWs and they are ok with Sony censoring games.

Sony Solider is a prime example of a toxic Sony fanboy.

The Contenders
11 Infinity Ward Infinity Ward is an American video game developer. They developed the video game Call of Duty, along with five other installments in the Call of Duty series.
12 Roblox Corp. Roblox Corporation is an American video game developer based in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2004 by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel, the company is the developer of Roblox, which was released in 2006. As of June 30, 2021, Roblox Corporation employed 1,234 people.

Salty kids everywhere

13 Rockstar Games Rockstar Games, Inc. is a multinational video game developer and publisher best known for their Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead, Midnight Club, Max Payne, Bully, and Manhunt games.

I guess I am annoying as well, because I am a die-hard fan of Rockstar Games. They screwed up with Red Dead Online, but I honestly could care less because the base game is outstanding, and I fully trust them with Grand Theft Auto VI. Again, considering their failure with Red Dead Online, they aren't perfect like any company out there. They have their flaws, but they still are a very dedicated company that actually gives a crap about giving audiences some solid material instead of half-assing everything they do like other companies.

Uninspired, boring, repetitive games with crappy online that try to make up for it with excessive violence.

Does not need to be #2 on the best game companies list, but thanks to its abundance of annoying fans, it is.

14 Mojang Mojang AB is a Swedish video game developer founded in May 2009 under the name Mojang Specifications by game programmer Markus Persson, best known for creating the popular independent game Minecraft, a sandbox game.

So what if I play pocket edition? That's not a valid reason to bully me.

15 NanaOn-Sha

Say hello to the Parappa fandom

16 Scottgame
17 Bethesda Bethesda Game Studios is an American in-house development team at Bethesda Softworks established in 2002. Previously synonymous with parent publisher Bethesda Softworks, the studio's name and logo were established with the release of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in 2002. The studio is currently led by executive producer Todd Howard.

When Fallout 76 was announced at E3 last year, a lot of fanboys were angry at those who did not want an online-only Fallout and even said "Todd Howard said you can play solo". That's not single-player or offline, its STILL online! I'm in the 50% who did not want an online Fallout...

18 Coolmathgames

Only people who play these games are 8 year olds

Headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, CD Projekt RED is a subsidiary of CD Projekt, which also owns the digital distribution service GOG.com. The company is dedicated to creating complex, narrative-driven games that offer meaningful choices to players.

Fanbase claims the company is modest and generous but it isn't. And they praise the games as second coming of Christ! If your games are so great as you say, doesn't mean that games from other companies are worse than games from your "lord and saviour of video games" company!
PS: Geralt is WEAK! Just like Infinite from Sonic Forces ;p

24 Valve Valve Corporation is an American video game developer, publisher and digital distribution company headquartered in Bellevue, Washington.
