Top 10 Strongest Warrior Cats

The Warrior Cats series is full of fierce fighters, legendary leaders, and cats whose strength goes beyond just their claws. But who among them is truly the strongest? That's up to you to decide. This list brings together some of the most powerful cats in the series, from battle-hardened warriors to cats with incredible abilities that set them apart from the rest.

Strength can mean different things in the world of Warrior Cats. Some warriors dominate in one-on-one combat, taking down enemies with pure skill and power. Others have unmatched endurance, surviving injuries or hardships that would have ended a weaker cat. Some are leaders who command respect, inspiring their Clanmates to fight harder and never give up. And then there are those with supernatural strength, whether from StarClan or something even darker.

The Top Ten
  1. Scourge

Scourge is a villain in the Warrior Cats series. He is the leader of BloodClan and was bullied by his siblings, Socks and Ruby, for being the smallest of the litter. One of his most notable features is his purple collar studded with dog and cat teeth.... read more

Scourge is extremely strong and one of my favorite villains. He is strong mentally and physically. Here's how.

The way he just killed Tigerstar (Claw) with one blow to the stomach was incredible and left the Clan cats stunned. Tigerstar was a leader with nine lives, and yet he lost all of them with one scratch. It is absolutely legendary to kill a leader with nine lives. He fought fiercely in the battle with the Clan cats, even though he was killed by Firestar.

He was also strong against the difficulties of living as a rogue. He found enough food and even realized how he could fight off a dog. He led BloodClan as a strong, confident leader and was deeply respected by rogues.

  2. Firestar

Firestar is a central character in the Warrior Cats series. He rises to become the leader of ThunderClan after Bluestar. Firestar is mates with Sandstorm and has two kits named Squirrelflight and Leafpool.

Originally, Firestar was a kittypet named Rusty before joining the clan. He dies from fatal... read more

Firestar always looked out for his Clan! He was constantly risking his life for them, and yet some of the cats still hated him! He kept fighting even when he had so many wounds. Every cat was always trying to kill him. For example, he almost drowned because of Tigerstar, fought Tigerstar (and won!), fought Scourge, and in the end, he was fighting Tigerstar again when a tree fell on him and he died.

He also lost many cats he was close to, like Cloudtail, Spottedleaf, Bluestar, Yellowfang, and Silverstream (even though he didn't know her that well). Despite all that, he still respected his Clan, which is the complete opposite of Tigerstar. Firestar was a kittypet, apprentice, warrior, deputy, leader of ThunderClan, and eventually a StarClan representative.

"Fire will save the Clan... You never understood, did you? Not even when I gave you your apprentice name, Firepaw. And I doubted it myself when fire raged through our camp. Yet I see the truth now. Fireheart, you are the fire who will save ThunderClan. You will be a great leader, one of the greatest the forest has ever known. You will have the warmth of the fire to protect your Clan and the fierceness of fire to defend it. You will be Firestar, the light of ThunderClan." Even Bluestar knew he was the best warrior!

  3. Lionblaze

Lionblaze is a character in the Warrior Cats series. He is part of The Three, along with Jayfeather and Dovewing, and possesses the power of being undefeated in battle. However, he loses this power after the Clans are saved from the Dark Forest.... read more

Personally, Lionblaze is my number one. He may be a show-off, but the fox was a complete threat to his Clan. He is one of the Three, with his power being invincibility in battle, so in my opinion, he was just trying to protect his Clan and not let any of his clanmates get injured.

He also had a very hard life, considering he and his siblings had no idea who their parents were. His own crazed mentor threatened to kill him and his siblings out of envy.

Many people say he does not deserve Cinderheart. Can you guys stop, for the love of God? They are both brave and loyal. Lionblaze is a great cat for telling Cinderheart that she is not Cinderpelt, that she is not a medicine cat, that she is a warrior, and much more than that. So stop saying he does not deserve Cinderheart, because it is not about who is better, it is about whether they love each other.

  4. Bramblestar

Bramblestar is a dark brown tabby tom with amber eyes. Before becoming leader of ThunderClan, he was known as Brambleclaw. He is the son of Tigerstar and Goldenflower, and the brother of Tawnypelt.

He also has a half-brother named Hawkfrost and a half-sister named Mothwing.

Bramblestar, I truly feel sorry for him. He had a horrible father. In his early days, his clanmates did not really like him because he looked like his father, Tigerstar.

Yet he came through eventually. I truly think he is a magnificent cat.

Bramblestar is Tigerstar 1's son and is a great fighter. He has ambition (but much less), and unlike his father, he aimed to be helpful and noble. His father just wanted to be powerful.

Brambleclaw was always destined to be a leader from the moment he opened his eyes. He's a great fighter, brave, smart, has much warrior experience, was trained by Firestar himself, and his apprentice was Berrynose.

  5. Squirrelflight

Squirrelflight is a dark ginger she-cat with forest-green eyes. She has one white paw, short legs, a torn ear tip, glossy fur, and a long, squirrel-like bushy tail. She also has a scar running from her chest to the top of her hind leg along her right flank.... read more

In my opinion, Squirrelflight is a total girlboss. She lost both her parents (Firestar and Sandstorm) and basically lost three of her adopted kids (Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, Lionblaze). She dealt with her mate being a total jerk towards her for an entire book and more. She also saw her own sister die while trying to save the Sisters' newborn kits. Then her mate gets possessed by someone who she knew liked her, and he tore her entire Clan apart and exiled her!

She dealt with all this hurt, and people say that it's "her fault." I don't agree. Squirrelflight has to be the most mentally and physically strong cat I know. Let's not even get started on how strong she was in the second arc of Warriors.

  6. Jayfeather

Jayfeather is a character from the Warrior Cats series. He is part of the prophecy group known as The Three, along with Lionblaze and Dovewing, and possesses the ability to read other cats' minds, sense emotions, and enter their dreams. He was born blind, which shapes much of his perspective and role... read more

He is very mentally strong. He has endured a lot and kept going. Even though he was blind, he was determined to prove that he could become a strong warrior. But even after his dreams were crushed and he became a medicine cat, he never gave up.

He had to go through a lot: the truth about his birth, the weight of the prophecy, tragic love, being accused and prejudiced, and the death of friends and family members. But he still got through in the end and he is still ThunderClan's skilled medicine cat.

OMG, Jayfeather is just my absolute favorite. First off, he is blind, which already makes him quite strong, having to deal with that. Then there's the mind reading. Wouldn't you be cranky too if you had to listen to every thought in camp?

Additionally, he is an awesome medicine cat, even when he had to do it alone. Sure, he loses his powers after arc 4, but you know, that spicy attitude never fails. Also, Jay's Wing X Half Moon everyone! He basically had his heart broken when he no longer had visions that brought him back to her, yet he didn't crumple down and pout. He just kept going on with his life, and I love it!

  7. Brightheart

Brightheart is a character in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. She is a white she-cat with ginger patches who suffered serious injuries during a dog attack while she was still an apprentice. Brightheart later became mates with Cloudtail, and they had four kits: Whitewing, Ambermoon, Dewnose, and Snowbush... read more

Brightheart literally never gave up. She went from being half-dead to strong really quickly! I liked how she never gave up and was strong.

Brightheart went through a pain you cannot even imagine, starting when she was just a kit. She was stolen by Clawface the rat. Then, when she was an apprentice during the battle (can you even imagine it?), she lost half her face trying to save her friend. But Swiftpaw still died in front of Brightpaw.

And yet, after all her suffering, her warrior name was Lostface. I hate Bluster for calling her that. If you think Brightheart is truly a strong warrior, vote for Brightheart.

  8. Mapleshade

Mapleshade is a character in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. She is a large, tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with a scarred white muzzle and white patches throughout her pelt. Her fur is thick, especially around her neck like a mane, and her pelt is ragged and scarred. She has a broad muzzle and... read more

I think she was strong because she killed many cats and is the best villain ever. Her love for her kits and hatred for the Clan motivate her savagery. I voted for Mapleshade because she is very vicious. As I'm reading Mapleshade's Vengeance, I think she is very strong. Mapleshade loves her kits to the point where she would murder her mate.

I used to hate Mapleshade, but now I love her. You can't blame her for thinking she had a vision to kill those cats. She just wanted to avenge her kits. Lots of other cats have killed and went to StarClan. She totally deserves StarClan!

  9. Tigerstar

Tigerstar is a villain in the Warriors book series by Erin Hunter. He is the son of Leopardfoot and Pinestar, and the former mate of both Goldenflower and Sasha. He is the father of Bramblestar, Tawnypelt, Mothwing, Hawkfrost, and Tadpole.... read more

In my opinion, Tigerstar is the strongest physically. I mean, everybody thinks Lionblaze and Scourge are... Why? The only reason he got beaten by Scourge is that he underestimated his enemy. If he had really focused and tried his best, he would have killed him in no time.

Plus, he could harm Lionblaze! Even though Lionblaze had powers, literally, Tigerstar could hurt him. That means he is the only cat that could kill Lionblaze when he had powers!

Tigerstar, Tigerstar, Tigerstar... Where do we start? Sorry to say, but his death was pure stupidity and bad luck. In a one-on-one combat - no vicious dog teeth or claws - Tiger would've shredded Scourge. Scourge was smart, not necessarily strong. Tigerstar was known as the strongest cat in the forest, and when he passed, he was the leader of the Dark Forest and was still known as the strongest warrior there. I'm not hating on Firestar, but Tigerstar was much stronger than him.

Now, personality-wise, Tigerstar had a strong ego and ambition, which was his downfall. He was too smart for his own good. As well as being smart, he had multiple mates (yikes). If nurtured and guided correctly, he could have been the best and strongest.

On another note, I was really upset when StarClan literally gave up on him immediately when they saw what possibilities his future held. And I'm even madder at Pinestar - LIKE HE COULD'VE SAVED SO MANY CATS' LIVES IF HE HAD BEEN A FATHER TO HIS SON AND A GOOD MATE, BUT NO, HE HAD TO RUN AWAY!

Sorry about that, but these are my reasons why he is the strongest warrior in all of the Warrior Cat book series.

    -Miolmompo

  10. Bluestar

Bluestar is a character in the Warrior Cats book series and served as a leader of ThunderClan. She broke the warrior code by becoming mates with Oakheart of RiverClan and giving birth to three kits: Stonefur, Mistyfoot, and Mosskit. Stonefur and Mistyfoot remained in RiverClan, while Mosskit tragically... read more

People often overlook Bluestar. She worked incredibly hard to become the leader. Yes, her sanity declined significantly, but it was primarily due to the insane level of pressure she was under. It's remarkable that she only gave in this far into her life. I have deep respect for her. Although I think she should have been with Thrushpelt, I still love her a lot! Firestar wouldn't be here without her.

She is physically strong, always determined, wise, and actually quite mentally stable.

You might say, She literally went crazy!

But consider this: imagine having a father who never loved his wife (your mother) or his daughters (you and your sister). Then, imagine your sister dying just when you thought you could finally hang out with her as an adult, with no supervision, and have fun together. After that, your kits are taken away, and one of them dies. During all this, you are working hard to save your Clan from an evil person they don't even know about and think is good and strong.

And then, after you save your Clan, your home is burnt down. Next, the person you thought you could trust betrays you. Then your deputy secretly meets with another Clan. Finally, your Clan is attacked by giant dogs, orchestrated by the person who betrayed you. By the way, during all this, there was constant conflict and battles against cats, both within your Clan and among the other Clans.

Yeah, you can't really blame her.

She is passionate, loyal, and fearless. She sacrificed herself and is very wise, both before and after her mental deterioration. I think she deserves to be higher on the list. Vote for her! She's really amazing.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Rootspring

Does nobody see how strong he is? He is literally such a good fighter, especially when he's in the Dark Forest.

  13. ?

    Stormcloud

To be honest, most people underrate Stormcloud just because he used to be a kittypet. He was accepted into ThunderClan by Bramblestar.

Stormcloud is loyal, determined, intelligent, and kind. He survived the storm, made sure Sparkpelt ate while she was mourning, and helped rebuild the clan. Because of this, he is my favorite cat in the Warriors series, and I think he deserves to be in the top 5.

  14. The Contenders
  15. Yellowfang

Yellowfang was a medicine cat originally from ShadowClan in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. After being exiled by her son, Brokenstar, she was discovered by Firepaw, who later became Firestar, and taken into ThunderClan. There, she became a respected medicine cat and mentor.... read more

Yellowfang is my number one favorite Warrior Cats character. She has three kits. Two die, and the last one kills his own father! Firstly, she had to let her own kit exile her out of her clan for something she didn't do. She later learns that Brokenstar (her kit) convinced ThunderClan that she was going to kill the kits. Frostfur runs into camp after that gathering and says, "We made it in time, the kits are safe," when Yellowfang is just sitting there.

Yellowfang dies trying to save an elder that wasn't even in her clan! So she should be number one on this list!

Yellowfang was very strong when her kits died, and she had to kill her only surviving son in the end. She did well protecting ThunderClan. It was sad to see her go, and I think she should be higher on this list.

  16. Lionheart

Again, he beat Tigerstar in a competition for being the next deputy. Once again, he was old in 'Into The Wild.' So, maybe if he had been younger, he would have survived.

They even say he's strong when Firestar gets his nine lives. Lionheart gave him the life of strength or loyalty!

Lionheart is strong. He has defeated many cats in battle.

  17. Graystripe

Graystripe is a cat in the Warrior Cats series. He is named after the gray stripe that runs down his back. In the second book, he falls in love with a cat named Silverstream. He is also friends with his childhood companion Firestar. Later, he becomes mates with Millie, and they have three kits: Blossomfall... read more

Graystripe saved Brightheart from the cage but was taken away. He lived with Twolegs for a while and met a cat named Millie. He trained her to fight and hunt, and later they left together so Graystripe could find his Clan with Millie. His friendship with Firestar stayed strong, and neither of them gave up trying to find each other.

He has been in so many battles and has killed cats to protect the forest, his clan, and Firestar. Have I mentioned that he is not dead? Exactly! He has stayed alive the entire time.

  18. Ivypool

Ivypool is a fictional silver-and-white tabby she-cat in Erin Hunter's Warrior Cats book series. She is the sister of Dovewing and the daughter of Whitewing and Birchfall. Ivypool becomes a spy in the Dark Forest and later returns to ThunderClan, eventually serving as deputy under Squirrelstar. Her mate... read more

Ivypool is my favorite ever! She is so strong! This is a perfect place for her!

I think all of the three should be after Ivypool, like, Dovewing and Jayfeather. Actually, no, you know how I did on Scourge? A little bit different. Jayfeather, Dovewing - you're below Hollyleaf, and then after Dovewing is Tigerstar.

Anyway, Ivypool is an awesome fighter. She spied for the Dark Forest. She could have gotten killed!

    -IvypoolfanknownasAshenstrike

She is strong both physically and mentally!

She was a spy in the Dark Forest, which must have been terrifying, but she stayed anyway. When Dovewing was getting all of the attention, she stayed strong.

I personally think that people should have paid more attention to her. She is one of the best Warrior Cats!

  19. Tawnypelt

Tawnypelt is a fictional character from the Warrior Cats book series by Erin Hunter. She is described as a pale, mottled tortoiseshell she-cat with green eyes and is known for being devoted, blunt, sassy, and tough.

She is a warrior of ShadowClan and recently stepped down from her position as... read more

She dealt with the fact of who her father was and tried so hard to live with the pain of the elders reminding her every day, kits running from her, not playing with her, and even Firestar doubting her, pushing her into going to the only cat that would accept her, and thinking she would never be loved. But yet, she kept going. If it weren't for Blackstar and Rowanclaw, I don't want to think about what would have happened. Blackstar should have made her deputy. I love you, Tawnypelt.

She is epic! She dealt with the fact of who her father was and tried so hard to live with the pain of the elders reminding her every day. She should be in the top five. Stop!

  20. Whitestorm

Whitestorm is a fictional character in the Warriors novel series by Erin Hunter. He is a long-haired, sturdy white tom with green eyes, known for his loyalty, wisdom, and calm demeanor.

A senior warrior of ThunderClan, Whitestorm mentored many young apprentices and was respected for his courage... read more

To be honest, Whitestorm is really underrated. He was a courageous deputy and very strong, both physically and mentally. He fought bravely in all battles and had so much wisdom. He was wise and always thought about situations very carefully. I love Whitestorm a lot, and so should you! He's great and deserves to be WAY higher on this list.

Whitestorm was chosen to be deputy at an age when he should've retired. He was so old that I think the way they made him die was pretty unfair, if you ask me. When he was introduced to us, he was already a senior warrior (unless you count special editions). We don't really have a measure of how good he was when he was younger.

  21. Cinderpelt

Cinderpelt is a Medicine Cat from the Warriors book series by Erin Hunter. She is described as a small, fluffy, sleek, and soft-furred she-cat with a smoky dark gray coat and wide blue eyes. Originally, she trained as a Warrior apprentice but was redirected to the path of a Medicine Cat after a monster... read more

This cat is wise, spunky, and brave. She knew that she was going to die if she didn't talk to Leafpool. She believed that Leafpool would make her own decisions. Cinderpelt deserved to be higher in the ranks.

In my opinion, she should be in the top 3. She's in love with Firestar, but she never told him because she's SUPER loyal. I love Cinderpelt.

She didn't really try to be a warrior, but she almost risked her life for other cats.

  22. Brokenstar

Brokenstar is a villainous character from the Warrior Cats book series. He is a matted, dark brown tabby tom with a broad, flat face, a bent tail, and orange eyes. Brokenstar was formerly the leader of ShadowClan and later a member of the Dark Forest. His mother is Yellowfang, and his father is Raggedstar... read more

Brokenstar was very strong. To me, he dropped those kits into a deep hole better than Darktail could do to the clans. Brokenstar has my vote. Darktail has none.

I feel like Brokenstar was very strong, and he had lots of authority too. He made kits warriors at 4 months old.

Brokenstar is pretty strong, and he did take all of Raggedstar's nine lives at once, so... yeah.

  23. Dovewing

Dovewing is a character in the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. She has pale gray fur and is described as having green, sky-blue, or pale gold eyes. Her first appearance is in the fourth arc, known as Omen of the Stars, in the book The Fourth Apprentice.... read more

First of all, she's an amazing cat and really kind. She had one-third of the prophecy's weight on her back when she was an apprentice. She dealt with Ivypool hating her when they were 'paws', worrying about Ivypool, and leaving ThunderClan to be with Tigerstar. She dealt with lots of emotional things.

She is sort of mentally strong. She's 14th on this list. Do you think that Dovewing is stronger than Mapleshade, Brokenstar, Hawkfrost, Bone, Tawnypelt, and more? She's not physically strong, but she can fight.

I love Dovewing, and she deserves to be at least number 2 on this list, okay? Not because she has powers, but because she suffered so much, like Ivypaw hating her. Plus, without her, the clan would have never survived the battle against the Dark Forest and stuff. Yeah, my brother would totally hate me for this. He likes Thrushpelt.

  24. Crookedstar

Crookedstar is a huge, light brown tabby tom with green eyes and a twisted jaw.

He served as the RiverClan leader in the forest territories. Born Stormkit to Rainflower and Shellheart, he had a brother named Oakheart. After suffering a broken jaw in an accident, he was renamed Crookedkit at Rainflower's... read more

He is mentally strong. Despite all the mean things from his mother and revenge from his second mentor, Mapleshade, he still coped. That is incredible. He didn't even become evil because of that. I think I could have understood him if he had turned into an evil guy.

Crookedstar was amazing! His super edition was so good, and I think he is very underrated for all he went through. I love Mapleshade, but Crookedstar's story was very sad to read.

I personally love Crookedstar. In his book, he overcame so much pain. He persevered and rose above his disability, and when asked to fight, went nearly undefeated!

  25. Mistystar

Mistystar is a lithe, pale blue-gray she-cat with thick, sleek fur, a pink nose, a plump tail, and wide, ice-blue eyes. Her mother was Bluestar and her father was Oakheart. Her adopted parents were Graypool and Thrushpelt.... read more

Honestly, Mistystar is brave, but she has a trashy personality. She is incredibly rude and doesn't take other cats' feelings into consideration.

She is brave, however, and died a noble death.

    No hate!

I think Mistystar is awesome! She is so strong! When she lost her kits in the flood, she tried her best to stay calm and kept an open mind about Fireheart and Graystripe's help. She even became deputy/leader! Girls, let's go!

Mistystar is the best leader ever! She has a great personality and is reasonable and kind.

  26. Spottedleaf

Spottedleaf was a medicine cat under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories. She was born as Spottedkit to Adderfang and Swiftbreeze along with her littermates, Redkit and Willowkit. Initially, Spottedpaw was apprenticed to Thrushpelt but decided to become a medicine cat with Featherwhisker... read more

She is a great cat. Spottedleaf loved Firestar, and every day she knew he was Sandstorm's mate. Also, she died twice and is now gone. She's very mentally strong but not very physically strong.

Spottedleaf is honestly underrated! She used to be kind of overrated, but now everyone hates her? I don't see why. Spottedleaf is a really great character and, in my opinion, the best medicine cat. She is such a loyal and brave cat.

    -Moonsong, medicine cat of ThunderClan

"Oh my sweet Spottedleaf," pfft, sorry, I couldn't help it, but anyway, she's amazing and a very great medicine cat until she died. But she deserves to be on this list, and she needs to be higher.

  27. Leopardstar

Leopardstar is a golden tabby she-cat with amber eyes.

Leopardstar was a leader of RiverClan in both the forest and lake territories. Leopardkit was born to Mudfur and Brightsky alongside three unnamed kits. However, Brightsky and the littermates died during the kitting. Mudfur named her after... read more

Leopardstar is amazing. I wouldn't call her the strongest, but she fights courageously. I have had similar experiences, fighting courageously. The "Leopard" part in her name describes not only her pelt but also the way she fights.

As a kit, she was the youngest but could still keep up with her denmates.

As an apprentice, she trained the hardest because of her prophecy and eventually managed to beat Blackpaw.

As a warrior, Crookedstar made her deputy, and she was always a brilliant fighter and a strong leader.

  28. Leafpool

Leafpool is a character in the Warrior Cats series. She is the daughter of Firestar and Sandstorm, sister of Squirrelflight, mate of Crowfeather, and mother of Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf. Leafpool serves as a medicine cat and plays a key role in many of the series' storylines.

Leafpool is officially the best she-cat ever! She is really strong. She always tries her best to impress her clan. She gave up her mate and kits to continue caring for her clan. You'd have to be incredibly mentally strong to endure all that pain. I honestly think she TOTALLY didn't deserve to die, and that Squirrelflight should have died instead.

Stop and don't scroll! Rabbits are dying everywhere because of RHDV2 (Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus). Do a favor and go to Lennon The Bunny's YouTube channel. Click on her RHDV2 video and click on the petition link in the description box. Sign the petition for the rabbits! Don't let them die!

  29. Darktail

Darktail is insanely strong. He literally drove three clans out of their territory, ShadowClan, RiverClan, and SkyClan, as well as manipulating a ton of ShadowClan cats. He also killed a ton of cats, especially when they tried to leave him. He killed them without anyone knowing, like Needletail and Dawnpelt.

DARKTAIL, DARKTAIL, DARKTAIL. My description of him is mostly made up of swear words, so I'm not going to go into that.

Darktail is strong, evil, manipulative, and has a little mini-clan called the Kin. He took over ShadowClan and RiverClan and killed so many cats, including Needletail, Onestar, and probably Dawnpelt! I hate Darktail. He is smart and strong and likes drowning people.

I HATE DARKTAIL, but he is strong. Luckily, one of my least favorites, Onestar, drowns him while Darktail drowns him.
