Written by little-known manga artist Kou Yuginuma, this series is about a girl called Asumi Kawogama with a dream of becoming an astronaut. But here's a major problem: when she was a baby, a rocket project, Japan's first manned rocket, failed. Majorly. The self-destruction function failed and crashed onto the nearby town of Yugihama and killed thousands. Including Asumi's mother. I love it so much, I cried a lot. It is beautiful and underrated. Please watch it!
