Best Defensive Starting Secondaries Coming Into the 2019 Season

Is there another Legion of Boom out there in line? If so they must have such a secure path of not giving up the deep ball, and are great in both coverages. Here are the best secondaries coming into 2019.
The Top Ten
1 Derwin James, Desmond King, Casey Hayward, Adrian Phillips - (Chargers)

What makes this secondary so good is the fact the talent is so unexpectedly good in the system itself. Sure Casey Hayward had a down year, but for a guy who came outta Green Bay he is a pretty good corner #1 when given the shot. Desmond King also provides solid coverage and a dangerous punt returner. Darwin James and Adrian Phillips, and you could maybe throw in Nasir Adderley could be the best safety tandem in football. Chargers look loaded, but face one team as a potential kryptonite.

2 Jimmy Smith, Marlon Humphrey, Tony Jefferson, Earl Thomas - (Ravens)

Baltimore all they realistically have on that defense that looks like classic Baltimore is their secondary looks great. The depth at corner impressive and retained. The duo of Thomas and Jefferson could be sneaky great that is Earl defines age don’t stop him.

3 Eddie Jackson, Kyle Fuller, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Prince Amukamara - (Bears)

Eddie Jackson made his name ominous when he picked Matthew Stafford off twice on Thanksgiving the legend was born. Kyle Fuller do or die year he performed like it meant that much to him. Somehow grabbed Ha Ha the former Packers briefly a Redskin what a turn out this could be. Amukamara is alright, but may need to show me his solid enough unless Buster can help out that makes up for it.

4 Tre'Davious White, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, Kevin Johnson - (Bills)

Buffalo got quite the strong secondary I gotta say led by White. Got new acquisition playing the opposite end Kevin Johnson the former Texan. Safety combo is pretty underrated for how much they do in Hyde, and Poyer are very lethal cerebral assassins. Don’t mess with them in the passing defensive department that’s for sure.

5 Chidobe Awuzie, Byron Jones, Jeff Heath, Xavier Woods - (Cowboys)

While there not household names they fit well for a bunch of average players you may not known much about, but trust me there good enough, and they showed me something with many stopped home run like passes many teams tried to burn on Dallas failed big time.

6 Xavien Howard, Reshad Jones, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Bobby McCain - (Dolphins)

Okay yes Miami looks to be a contender for the 1st overall, however that secondary could end up costing them that in all honesty because it's actually looks good. Good safety pair of Rashad when healthy, and Minkah more years to see outta him. Xavien Howard has been incredible the last two seasons for Miami. Bobby McCain is perhaps the weak link in this secondary, but overall Dolphins are very underestimated when it comes to passing a long yarded attempt.

7 Landon Collins, Josh Norman, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Deshazor Everett - (Redskins)

Such great veteran talent here honestly. Josh Norman being the vocal team defensive captain of the group speaking apart for them. Paired with him is longtime Corner Rodgers-Cromartie, They went out and had to pay a huge amount to Landon Collins hopefully the payoff goes well otherwise he’ll end up like the rest of the free agent busts Redskins have trotted out over the years. Everett might be that one problem on the other end for me. Not the best safety tandem by any means, but Everett’s gotta show he can hang now they lost two guys that could of been an excellent tandem pair in Ha Ha, and Swearinger in one season is crazy.

8 Denzel Ward, Damarious Randall, Greedy Williams, Morgan Burnett - (Browns)

Maybe putting this secondary on the list could be a bit surprising seeing they would give up Jabrill Peppers to New York Giants, but I feel like its gonna come down to Greedy Williams. If he plays well as his name sounds Browns might end up with a true steal. If not well this will look a bit awkward looking back.

9 Aqib Talib, Marcus Peters, Eric Weddle, Taylor Rapp - (Rams)

This veteran experienced secondary has much to work on after massive regression last season, and putting a lot of pressure on the offense that gotta change after the super hangover what can we expect outta this secondary? Talib is good, but might finally be showing his age, Marcus Peters has got to improve after a bust first year, Eric Weddle and Taylor Rapp should maybe help with the support of the veterans needing it bad after the previous season being very disappointing down the stretch.

10 Harrison Smith, Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes, Anthony Harris - (Vikings)

I maybe snubbing other secondaries out there, but I chose Minnesota just based on the talent is still there, and it could improve. You have to me the best safety in football in Harrison Smith back up with an underrated player in Anthony Harris taking Smith’s wing. Sure they lost Andrew Sendejo, but he fills that void well. They have talent at corner they have drafted two of them in case of Xander’s playing level as a #1 corner diminishes even more they got Mike Hughes in case of that slip that end being a concern for Mike Zimmer if he has to make that bold move during the season.

Waynes has the speed so he should be fine Smith has everything so he’s fine Rhodes has the intelligence when it comes to reading plays so he is okay and Harris has umm? I miss Sendejo
