NFL Teams Most Likely to Land Allen Robinson in the 2021 Offseason
You could make a case for a few other receivers who are looking for mad money, but to me the best option available who is perhaps the most underrated player of his position and that is Allen Robinson. Here are 10 possible scenarios who could be walking into.I'm not sure if T.Y. Hilton comes back. They do have great cap space to work with, but Allen Robinson is and has proven to be a much better version than him. This would be a great signing for the incoming QB whoever that maybe.
Another possible place is Miami. Who knows if it's Tua or Watson. There's another case where imagine this... Allen Robinson + Devante Parker (move him as their #2) + Preston Williams. They could be a formidable trio if they fix the passing game. Miami last season took a step back throwing football while improving in the running game. 2021 they need balance, and maybe this is the way to show it.
Wouldn't be something if he returned to the team he started out on who has the best cap in the league? Granted they got some capable supporting receivers who can catch the ball. You make him the premiere receiver you got Urban's Meyer's version of an air raid offense AFC South style.
The only way this happens is if Ryan Pace shockingly franchise tags him instead of Trubisky. Sure Carson Wentz is the clear target, but in the back of my mine Ryan Pace has shown to be very greedy.
Giants need a true #1 WR which they proved do not have that at all. It's time to retool this offense in the passing game, and signing Robinson wouldn't be a bad start all things considered.
Now in terms of revenge against your old team ways of thinking the Lions are definitely in play. He played in the Michigan area in college, and I bet he'd love to get revenge on his old team with a new regime in place. I always liked this guy, and I would be okay with it. The only problem is he is gonna want high money to come here. Which like Kenny Golladay not gonna do it in that case. Jared Goff does need a top weapon, I would argue there could be a weapon to trade down in the draft as a safer, cheaper option in my dream scenario.
Patriots need everything offense and hardly much on defense is you ask me how their season went in 2020. Retool and upgrade, Belichick was not happy seeing Brady win the trade. Now he is gonna get aggressive even if that means taking a hit on the cap. Allen Robinson would be an upgrade from Julian Edelman who honestly can go to canton at this point. There's a lot to fix here, and this would be a start in the free agency.
Eagles are another team on the rebuild tracker like Atlanta. Philly destroyed what worked for them a few years back and now deconstructed into the Jalen Hurts era. So by doing this we must give him new weapons in exchange for the old parts that have... ''expired!'' Granted seeing Alshon Jeffrey did fairly decent with the team I guess Allen Robinson would fill in some blanks here with a new regime.
If Julio does walk who ends up being the true #1? Calvin Ridley sounds easy, but who else is in play exactly? Atlanta may not be good in their cap situation, but if everything else is filed this would be what is left playing for an Arthur Smith rebuilding Falcons led team wouldn't be too bad.
I'm not sure if Washington is on his radar, but the free agent curse still reigns a dark cloud of those who choose to go there for ages now. I do think he'd be a nice fit, but I'm not sure if he'd be the WR #1 considering scary terry looks like the man there, but they could use a big extra guy on the opposite side though.
