They went 15-1 just to be upset in the Superbowl. Lead by Cam Newton, I thought they were going to win it all
It's is a game of inches, something Seattle has learned a number of times on the one yard like, infamously starting at this Superbowl. Lead by Russel Wilson and the Legion of Boom, there were few weak points on this team.
Call it recency bias, or bias bias, but this team was good. A great defense and many playmakers on the other side of the ball, it looked like they were going to win until Patrick Mahomes remembered who he was.
Ben Roethlisberger lead this offense, and in classic Pittsburgh fashion, they had a great defense. That season they went 12-4.
In a similar formula to the 2019 49ers, they had a super strong defense (this time lead by Patrick Willis), and many weapons on offense. They were a great team the should've gotten Frank Gore and Joe Staley rings, but ultimately fell short to Ray Lewis and the Ravens.
Lead by none other than Peyton Manning, this team had potential with a great defense...and Peyton Manning.
They very easily couldve had this one, but the Falcons have yet to be told that the game is not over until the final whistle. They had a great offense lead by Julio Jones and Matt Ryan.
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. In the Super Bowl. Yeah no one was surprised they made it, just that they lost to the best backup quarterback of the year.
Again, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Probably the best QB/coach duo of all time.
Despite their great offense all year, this team makes the bottom of the list because they scored three points. Three. Total. At least they can take solace in the fact that Aaron Donald and co. held the Patriots to 13. Very much a defensive game when they were an offensive team.
