Top Ten Improvements TheTopTens Has Made
I've been here for just over a year, and the site's features and browsability have increased drastically in that time period.I love being able to check for new comments on my lists without having to browse through them all.
Visitors tend not to see the point, but the feed we have is all the more reason to sign up.
Most of the things were already there when I first arrived as a member on this site, but this change is what I liked the most as it happened long after I was here (even Cazaam sort of launched a petition for custom profile pics in his profile page before when we didn't have them).
In March, I signed up and this feature wasn't here. I'm glad it's here!
It makes each user's comments instantly recognizable.
I thought they always had it.
It was hardly ever used and when it was, it was just by spammers.

The competition may add something good to it like you said, but it means less attention to lists which I think deserve it.
Makes finding lists worth reading much easier. Plus, it creates a friendly competition. I'm still gunning for that #1 hit!
I like the competition for it. One of my lists has made it to Number 2, but never number 1.
It lets me see the most interesting lusts first
Before, lists fell into a few basic categories. Now there are many subcategories, which make browsing much easier.
When I first joined, each message came in individually. The string is much easier to follow and takes up less room in the inbox.
This has been a massive improvement.
Another incentive to create an account.
Believe it or not, waaay back in 2013, there was a category on our profiles called "Friends", but no "Add Friend" button.
Cool! I didn't know they didn't have this before.
Generally a way to gauge how long a member has been around.
I personally dislike this feature, but it has led members who might have ignored me otherwise to message me, for better and for worse. 808swag, for instance.
After this feature, I deleted two of my posts which were kinda embarrassing.
Thank goodness for this.
This feature was added just after I created this list. Will be useful, I'm sure. I almost blocked Britgirl, though!
@K - I know. Thankfully, there's a popup screen that says "Are you sure you want to block so-and-so". Still dangerous, though.
For whatever reason, I can only do this to the first three comments on a given page.
It's good to see pictures of a fair few famous people next to their names on lists. But there are only a select few of them. I love the idea, but I think there should be a picture for every notable person whose picture is readily available, and presumably copyright-free. I also think it would be cool if users could add pictures which they wish to their names on user ranking lists.
Isn't there a way to add a picture of your own TopTens profile on a list?
Wait, there was a forum?! I'd like that. Can see how it would have failed, though.
