Top Ten Best NFL Teams of Week 1, 2019

The season started with blowouts and close ones, and we have made our early predictions on which teams will be good this season. Here, we’re looking at the top ten best NFL teams of Week 1, 2019.
The Top Ten
1 Baltimore Ravens The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Ravens compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference North division.

In a 59-10 drubbing of the tanking Dolphins, Lamar Jackson proved his doubters wrong and showed that he can pass the ball as well as run. Granted, it was against the Dolphins, but they had quality guys in the secondary in Xavien Howard and Minkah Fitzpatrick (though he had a rough game). Perhaps this is a Ravens team to look out for as they sit atop the AFC North with a 1-0 record, while everyone else is 0-1.

2 New England Patriots The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston region. New England Patriots are one of the few teams to have 5+ wins in the Super Bowl.

Well, the Patriots are still dominant. Tom Brady continues to prove age is just a number as he crushed the Steelers while unveiling their newest Super Bowl banner. Now just wait until they get Antonio Brown involved in the offense. They basically get a free game against the Dolphins in Week 2.

3 Tennessee Titans The Tennessee Titans are a professional American football team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.

The Titans looked good on both sides of the ball. Marcus Mariota got going, and the defense intercepted Baker Mayfield three times. The AFC South is wide open right now, and the Titans currently lead it. Many had them in last place, but right now, this looks like a good team.

4 Kansas City Chiefs The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.

Patrick Mahomes came back right where he left off last season, embarrassing a good Jaguars defense. Even with Tyreek Hill out most of the game, Mahomes still produced with Sammy Watkins. He can make anyone look good. The Chiefs are off to a good start.

5 Dallas Cowboys The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference East division.

Were we all wrong about Dak? I sure hope not. Ezekiel Elliot was quiet, but Dak had an elite game. It pained me to see Randall Cobb score a touchdown there, but I am happy that he is still producing. What is in store for this Cowboys team this season?

6 Minnesota Vikings The Minnesota Vikings are an American football team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vikings joined the National Football League as an expansion team in 1960, and first took the field for the 1961 season.

I wasn't expecting the Vikings to obliterate the Falcons, but that's what they ended up doing. Kirk Cousins only attempted ten passes, which meant Dalvin Cook would carry the offense. He sure did do that, and proved me wrong about him. The defense is also as good as ever, intercepting Matt Ryan twice. These aren't the same Vikings as 2017, but they can get close to that if they keep playing the way they did against the Falcons.

7 New Orleans Saints The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints currently compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference South division.

Drew Brees still has it, leading the Saints to a comeback win that ended in Will Lutz kicking the game winner in a Monday Night Football thriller. While they struggled in the first half, they really picked up the tempo in the second half. While the defense almost gave up the game, the offense came in the clutch, allowing the game winning kick from hero Will Lutz.

8 Los Angeles Chargers The Los Angeles Chargers are a professional American football team based in Los Angeles. The Chargers compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.

The Chargers came into the season with Super Bowl aspirations, but after injuries to Derwin James and Russell Okung, they looked a little worse. Still, after going into overtime with the Colts, they proved two things. One, they are still Super Bowl contenders. Two, they do not need Melvin Gordon. Austin Ekeler ran all over the Colts defense, and had three touchdowns, including the game winner in overtime. They have competition in the AFC West right now in the Chiefs and maybe even the Raiders. This could be an interesting race.

9 Philadelphia Eagles The Philadelphia Eagles are a professional football franchise based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Eagles compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference East division.

Initially down by a few scores, the Eagles came back in a big way. Carson Wentz threw to DeSean Jackson, and he ended up with two 50+ yard receiving touchdowns. Even in his 30s, Jackson is still one of the NFL's best deep wide receivers. Right now, the Eagles have to catch up to the Cowboys. Right now, they're basically tied in the division.

10 Los Angeles Rams The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

It was a close game against the Panthers. Surprisingly, their big three trio of players didn't do much. Jared Goff struggled a little bit, Malcom Brown scored two touchdowns while Todd Gurley sat, and Aaron Donald was kept in check. Still, a win is a win, and now they're in a three-way tie in the division with the Seahawks and 49ers. They have to pull ahead.

The Contenders
11 Green Bay Packers The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference North division. The Packers have won 4 Super Bowls and 13 NFL championships.
12 Washington Redskins The Washington Commanders are a professional American football team based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

In 2020, Washington after 87 years got rid of the Redskins trademark due to it being labeled racist to native culture. It was named the Washington Football Team until February... read more
