Most Overrated Roller Coasters

ReakMayhem
This is the list of the most overrated roller coasters in your opinion. Just to be clear, overrated doesn't mean that you hate these rides, but have too much liking than you have towards them.

The Top Ten

1 Millennium Force - Cedar Point

I love millennium force but I'm starting to get tired of millennium force being number one for everything. I would put it on my top 5 best roller coasters of all time. but don't try to kill me

Brilliant Coaster And I Will Always Love It, But I Think We've Heard Enough About How Good It Is - JPK

2 The Beast - Kings Island
3 The Smiler - Alton Towers
4 Kingda Ka - Six Flags Great Adventure
5 Incredible Hulk - Universal's Islands of Adventure
6 The Swarm - Thorpe Park
7 Son of Beast - Kings Island
8 Space Mountain - Walt Disney World Resort Space Mountain - Walt Disney World Resort Space Mountain is the name of a space-themed indoor roller coaster attraction located at five of the Magic Kingdom-style Disney Parks.

Too rough and jerky, and retro, needs a huge update.

Wow, I'm glad this is in the top 10. After all, I added this one to this list BECAUSE IT DESERVES TO BE HERE. - railfan99

The one at Disneyland is so much better - Poseidon

It’s only 28 mph and it’s so rough, and I don’t understand why it’s so popular, it deserves to be on here.

9 Behemoth - Canada’s Wonderland

Leviathan is better

Not the best B&M Hyper

Whoever put this on the list must have drunk 1000000000 bottles of beer this is my favorite b&m hyper!

10 Goliath - Six Flags Magic Mountain

The Contenders

11 The Voyage - Holiday World
12 Alpengeist - Busch Gardens Williamsburg
13 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train - Walt Disney World Resort

It deserves to be higher,

It’s so boring, you wait 3 hours to get on this coaster that is short, slow, and appealing to little kids and people who hate coasters.

It sucks, all you do is go down a dip and make it up a negligible lift hill and go down a few hills and turns that you can sleep throughout, and there’s just a short scene with the seven Dwarfs and then go up the main lift hill and go down a small drop and a few more turns and then the Snow White cottage scene.
I don’t get why it’s so popular? It’s short, slow, suckish and just plain boring.
If you want better coasters, go on Rock n Roller Coaster or go to Universal’s Hulk or Busch Gardens’ wild coasters or SF’s thrill monsters for some crazy wild fun.
This just sucks.

14 Dragon Challenge - Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure

When Universal stopped doing the dueling because someone decided to be stupid and throw loose items. It makes sense that they would close it down for good.

15 Slinky Dog Dash - Walt Disney World Resort

People waited 7 HOURS for it when it first opened, and it’s not much of a thrill anyway.
It’s just a “coaster” that has a few hills and turns plus 2 launches that are tame by coaster standards.
It might be tall for a Disney coaster, and it’s open heights(making it scary for those afraid of heights), but the drop isn’t very big of thrilling like you’d expect from a tall coaster.
Yet the ride is only 2 minutes long.
7 Hours for a 2 MINUTE RIDE!?! - Gregory

16 Expedition GeForce - Holiday Park Expedition GeForce - Holiday Park
17 Steel Vengeance - Cedar Point Steel Vengeance - Cedar Point
18 X2 - Six Flags Magic Mountain
19 Fury 325 - Carowinds, USA
20 The Phoenix - Knoebels
21 El Toro - Six Flags Great Adventure
22 Matterhorn Bobsleds - Disneyland

Why so much hype? I know it’s the first steel coaster, but it’s so slow, not very tall, and it’s really rough and jerky.
No one would have fun on this, except for the GP.

Rough Rough Rough

23 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - Disney World

It only goes 36 mph and has no drops and very little if any airtime.
It doesn’t make sense to get such good reviews.

24 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - Disneyland

Only 28 MPH and too rough, no good drops and even with the good theme, it’s just not a fun rollercoaster.

25 Eurosat - CanCan Coaster - Europa Park

I don’t get why Eurosat is the icon of Europa Park.
There are huge and fast roller coasters throughout the park, and this is the most famous one.
It’s a carbon copy of Spaceship Earth at Epcot and Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom on the inside, which is a slow roller coaster.
This is a slow one too and it’s somehow famous and getting rethemed into an even worse version involving virtual reality, which is WAY overused.
Gee, I wonder if Disney will sue Europa Park for their waste of space called a Spaceship Earth/Space Mountain copy?

26 Expedition Everest - Disney's Animal Kingdom Expedition Everest - Disney's Animal Kingdom

Nothing really stood out. To me the only way that theming helps the ride for me is if I feel it. This ride is really forceless. The only thing that stood out was the drop.
