Top Ten Best Picks from Day 1 of the 2017 NFL Draft

Based on how they were picked the way they were, theses look like they could be the real deal in September. What stands out from this first round is how many glaring reaches there were through the draft. These newly drafted players give me a strong case that they might just very well be ready fro the pros based on all the good vibes.
The Top Ten
1 Solomon Thomas

I liked what the 49ers did with trading down, and what they ended up getting out of Chicago which I question there high selection, but anyways related to that is to me the best player in this draft Solomon Thomas. Well done John Lynch like the moves your doing, let's hope no Matt Milen moment is formed in San Fran.

2 Myles Garrett

Out of the three picks, clearly he was the best for Cleveland. The one pick everyone was not suprised would fall where he is. While he may look great, there are times you see weakness in his tapes where he just decides not to even care on close endzone plays which I find interesting for a guy who might be the next Courtney Brown. I hope I'm wrong about this guy, but that's just the way I see it. Still a good pick, but careful not screw up with him.

3 Haason Reddick

He was literally the most over player of the draft from Temple, he looks like a beast. I mean sure you could of picked a high reach QB in DeShone Kizer, but at what cost? You would of most likely missed on perhaps the best linebacker of this draft next to T.J Watt who I'll get to a little later.

4 Jamal Adams

He was clearly one the top 5 best defensive prospect no to pass up. Normally I knock the Jets for taking a defensive player every year, however with a player like A Jamal Adams still there at point is in a way considered a steal for a guy who looked like he would fall to the top 5.

He is so good and he is like a monster on the field. One of the best defensive players on the Jets.

5 Marshon Lattimore

For a guy who was projected from top fall, to falling near 11 is a steal for the Saints. The only con with this guy is that he has a history injury problems. Let's hope when healthy he is the reason why New Orleans drafted him that high for a reason, and that New Orleans had to address defense clearly. Do I think they needed an additional Tackle debatable.

6 Derek Barnett

Between Thomas, and Garrett there were the most likely defensive Ends to go immediately, then there's the wild card Derek Barnett who has a lot of Reggie White in him shattering records. I definitely liked where he fell to the home crowd. Makes a lot of sense with a defensive line that could use support from Fletcher Cox.

7 Jonathan Allen

I still can't picture why most of the defensive player who were suppose to be around top 10 fell as hard as Jonathan Allen did. Ironically I got this pick right where he fell which is weird yet also a great pick for Washington.

8 Christian McCaffrey

Surprised its not Fournette, well maybe I should explain why I prefer the McCaffrey selection more then. I think he'll be one of those rare players to get from the start of the likes of Ezekiel Elliot (Although at the time was a questionable pick).

9 T.J Watt

To me in my eyes he was the stand out linebacker of this draft. He falls to 30 in perhaps a great steal for a team that's trying to revive its once good on defense. T.J Watt could come in as a leader for that defensive core. This easily replaces James Harrison by a mile only because his still playing in his late 30's.

10 O.J Howard

On tape he looks like a phenomenal Tight End, I actually like where he fell. Man Tampa Bay might just have a top 10 offense on paper. You got Winston, Doug Martin, Two solid WR's in Mike Evans, and DeSean Jackson, and now add in a Rob Gronkowski like player who can catch, and block at his size.
