Top Ten Most Pointless Male Anime Characters
I did one list for the females and now for the males. This is to see if the anime character would be of any use to the show if they got rid of them or even made the anime better. Of course, this is all opinion based. I'll put in my ten and the rest is up to you.
Yukiteru Amano (or 'Yukki') is the main male protagonist of Mirai Nikki, a show created by Sakae Esuno, on October 10, 2011. Yukiteru has dark hair, blue eyes and a quiet personality. He is the "First" Diary owner and he owns the "Observe Diary" This character has no reason to be apart of the game and is only there for yandere Yuno Gasai. He doesn't make the anime enjoyable and really is just there to show how crazy Yuno is. If we just made Yuno crazy because of her disturbing past, then followed her through the game, it would be brilliant. But no, let's stick with the whiny pretentious kid.
I think the anime is bad, but even with the plot holes, I feel like the show would be a thousand times more enjoyable without Yuki. He's like Shinji Ikari with less of a spine, less likeability, and no use whatsoever. Take him out of the show and you'd have one less useless character.
Hey, I’m all for a woman protects a man anime BUT he's JUST TOO DUMB TO DO ANYTHING USEFUL! Also falls into the toxic trope that men have to be weak and stupid by comparison to make female characters look better. Yuno herself is annoying as hell but she’s a piece cardboard compared to this moron. There each terrible as characters and EVEN WORSE AS A COUPLE.
Yamcha (ヤムチャ, Yamucha) is a Bandit and a main protagonist in the Dragon Ball manga and in the anime Dragon Ball, and later a supporting protagonist in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, with a few appearances in Dragon Ball GT. He has black hair and has a scar across his eye and cheek. You know you have it bad when your girlfriend dumps you for a guy you hate. Yamcha though was just never written well and it wouldn't matter if he was in the story or not. He ends up dying more often than not and it makes you wonder how we're supposed to root for him to win, when he never wins.
He's an okay character but all he does is die!
Not as useless as Krillin though
This guy is the definition of doing nothing and still being part of the main cast. He dueled once in a card game and lost in season 3. And doesn't really do anything except be a comic relief character. He doesn't even have a backstory in the anime!
The guy barely does anything in the series.
He had two pointless filler episodes, a subplot in one episode and just stood around during the finale of Soul Eater. And no, he has no purpose in the manga either. His purpose is to annoy the characters around him.
Chris Thorndyke is a fictional character and the main human protagonist of the Anime series based on the Sonic the Hedgehog series created by Sega, Sonic X. We don't need Chris to be in the Sonic Universe. Chris should have never existed because the show is to supposed to be about Sonic. But because of him, the anime focuses more about him and his wacky everyday life. Like how his teacher comes to visit his house and he has to make sure he doesn't see Sonic and his friends. Really, dumb character that only made things worse instead of better.
He's really creepy and that's his thing. We have twelve romantic interests and most of them were pretty pointless to begin with. This guy is just a creep and doesn't have a purpose to be in the story.
What has Choji done throughout the majority of Naruto? He lost the chunin exams and doesn't get much development. Even during the battle with Hidan and Kakuzu, he ends up getting himself almost killed if it wasn't for Kakashi and Shikumaru. Honestly, he wasn't essential to the story.
Kuradeel is a character in the anime and light novel series "Sword Art Online," created by Reki Kawahara. He is a member of the player's guild known as the "Knights of the Blood Oath" and serves as a bodyguard for Asuna. Kuradeel is distrustful of outsiders and shows animosity towards the series' protagonist, Kirito. His extreme actions to protect his interests add a layer of antagonism to the series' plot. Let's make a pathetic one time villain that Asuna could easily and no one will remember him. Honestly, what was even the point of this character?
He's a sadistic creep that really didn't belong in a zombie apocalypse anime. Sorry but I don't like this character.
He's pretty much there to be cute and sometimes it got really annoying. I can deal with cute anime characters but I couldn't with him.
