Reasons Why Metallica Should Not Be So High on the "Biggest Sellouts of the History of Music" List.

Metallica is accused of selling out with the Black Album.
The Top Ten
1 The Black Album Has Very Good Songs

Through the Never, Of Wolf and Man, My Friend of Misery, and The Struggle Within. I'm willing to bet most people who accuse Metallica of selling out haven't listened to the Black Album except those five singles.

Artists change their music all the time, but that doesn't make them sellouts. With this logic you might as well admit that Megadeth sold out with Countdown to Extinction. Other bands that "sold out" could include Slayer, Genesis, Yes (with 90125), Deep Purple (started as progressive rock before moving to hard rock), King Crimson (with discipline), Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Opeth, Kansas, Aerosmith, Jeff Beck, etc.

Either you continue playing the exact same music for your entire career or you experiment and try out new genres at the risk of becoming a "sellout".

Best album in my opinion

The songs are awesome

2 The Black Album May Not Have Been Thrash, but It Was a Classic Heavy Metal Album.
3 Enter Sandman is on the "Sellout" Album

ES is considered one of the best Metallica songs.

4 Saying that Metallica Sold Out is Like Saying that Any Band Who Tries a New Style is a Sellout.
5 Because They Have a Catchy Name and Posers Use It a Lot Because It is Easy to Remember Does Not Mean They Sold Out Musically.
6 They Have Been Grossly Over-Exaggerated by the Megadeth Fanbase.

It's no secret that Megadeth has the worst fanbase in Metal.

7 The Black Album Has a Lot of Metallica's Best Songs

Enter Sandman, Unforgiven, Sad But True, Nothing Else Matters, etc.

8 Making Ballads is Different Than Creating Pop Music.

Nothing Else Matters

9 Megadeth's "Risk" is Overlooked While It Sold Out More Than Metallica, Using Electronic Beats!
10 Linkin Park, U2, and Kiss Sold Out Much More, but They are Below Metallica.
