Top 10 Things Christians are Tired of Hearing
I hate how people feel the need to hate on others just because they don't agree with them.Believe in what you want to believe.
God absolutely said: a man who lies with a man as you would a woman is an abomination. But He also said: the blood of Christ cleanses you of all sins, and: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. A true Christian disapproves of any sin, but instead of hating the sinner, he prays for them. (That's what I try to do, and believe me, I was not like this before I got saved.)
While sexual immorality (like homosexuality) is a sin, we Christians pray for those involved and try to help them. We try to show them the good news of Jesus Christ. Just because we don't support their decision does not make us homophobic. Homophobia is hating the homosexual. We may not agree with them, but we certainly don't hate them.
I have no proof God exists. Now, where's your proof that He's fake? You have none? I guess that makes us even.
If you can't prove His existence or deny His existence, why should you believe in a fantasy, then?
I believe in God. If you don't, fine. I'm not going to start making judgments on who is going where.
Gary, one of my favorite characters from my favorite show, is a Christian. And yes, I do wish people would respect my religion.
Why would someone be so disrespectful? I may be an atheist, but it's people like this that make me reluctant to declare it.
Oh, gee, I don't know. Why can't you just respect Christians and not think you must see to believe?
Abortion is nowhere in the Bible. It wasn't even a concept then. Who knows how they would have felt about it? It's just a common opinion.
We're not forcing. We're evangelizing. It's up to the person to decide if they will believe in God and His teachings or not.
I'm a Christian, and I don't try to force religion on anybody. Everyone has the right to believe what they want to believe.
There is a big difference between forcing someone and warning someone!
I don't really care if the Christian God is real or not. People are allowed to have their own opinions. Atheists and Christians argue too much. Sometimes, I say, "God, if you are real, then..." and I'm not even a Christian.
I strongly believe He's real. You don't. Case closed.
I believe He's real, and you don't. Can we move on?
Ummm... Were YOU there? Did you witness that time period and see there was no Jesus? If not, shut up.
It wasn't even a book originally. It was scrolls, and they weren't even in English.
I agree with you, Positron. I believe that God created science, and thus I believe in science. The Bible states that God is love. Hence, love comes from God. Christianity shouldn't be a religion. It should simply be a way of living - a life full of love for others and for the Triune God.
To deny the existence of God is to deny the existence of love. We don't know if love exists. We just assume it exists because it affects people's lives. In the same sense, science claims to have no proof about the existence of God, but since God has clearly affected many people's lives, it is impossible to deny His existence. To do so would also be to deny the existence of those changed people.
A question I would ask an affirmed atheist is this: Do you love your father? Assuming they would respond saying yes, I would then tell them this: prove it. They cannot prove it, but they can believe it. In that sense, some "experts" claim that there is no proof of God, yet God has had an influence upon the entire world. Hence, to deny the existence of God is to deny the existence of the entire world.
The loving Triune God whom I worship purposely made it very difficult to believe in His existence. If He were visible, then everybody would worship Him, but realize that they would not have much of a choice in that particular situation. That is why God, being the brilliant Supreme Being that He is, decided to make His presence invisible. Thus, only those who are willing to give up their entire lives for Him - a Being whom they cannot even see - will enter His holy kingdom.
Those who refuse to believe in Him will perish in the end. They will not go to hell. There is no hell. The loving God whom I worship would not torture people for one day, much less for eternity. Any Christian who disagrees with me ought to study the subject for themselves. But let me conclude with this assertion: I believe in God not because I don't want to perish. I believe in God because I believe... more
Why? I love how some atheists complain about religion being shoved in their faces, yet they want religion to die out, thereby shoving atheism down everybody's throat.
If religion didn't exist, then you wouldn't have Christmas. And if you hate it, well, at least it's a break from school, college, or work, I suppose.
Anyone can be part of whatever religion they wish to be.
No Muslim, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Hindu, etc., should be afraid to share their religion. No one should be stereotyped as a terrorist, God-fearer, greedy, weird Indian, SUPER weird Indian, just so you can shove the so-called "truth" down everyone's throat, then complain they shove religion down your throat when they haven't said anything to you.
Yes, I have been on the internet. Stop reminding me. Just because one person has an opinion, it doesn't mean I have to agree.
Christians can have sex if they want to, but if they want to be virgins, they can be virgins.
