Top Ten Reasons Why Daisy is Not a Peach Clone
"Daisy is just a yellow Peach", "Daisy is just an useless Peach", "lolololol Peach clone!" screw opinions, this is not an opinion, Daisy is NOT a Peach clone and I can prove it.True, but the biggest fault I see is how Daisy was just plopped in there unexpectedly, with no backstory, not much knowledge about her kingdom, and no real reason why Mario would suddenly go to the Kingdom of Sarasaland to save a princess who wasn't Peach. Does anyone else think that too, or am I the only one?
That's her first appearance. That's how she was introduced in the Mario series.
Daisy: Sassy and outgoing tomboy with a competitive side. Energetic, cheerful, and confident.
Peach: Stubborn but cute, charming, sweet/polite, and a damsel in distress.
Peach - Kind, pretty, typical princess.
Daisy - Tomboy princess.
Very true. This reason should be #1.
She was created by the late Gunpei Yokoi, the man behind the Metroid series!
This just proves how annoying Daisy hate can be. I can't believe some people think she's overrated.
Again, Daisy was the damsel in distress there.
Peach: Damsel in distress and one of the main heroes.
Daisy: She was a damsel in distress, but after being forgotten for a decade and coming back in Mario Tennis 64, she was seen as a filler partner for Peach and appeared in spin-off games. That all changed nowadays, as she slowly gained recognition.
Peach is the damsel in distress.
Daisy is a side character who appears for fun.
They both did have Jen Taylor, but
Daisy had Deanna Mustard, Giselle Fernandez, Jessica Chisum, and Kate Fleming.
Peach had Samantha Kelly, Anya Taylor-Joy, and even some voice actresses from Japan.
She was captured once in Super Mario Land.
The Newcomers
Peach used to leave her hair down with her N64 design in kart racing and sports games. Nowadays, she folds it up.
How did nobody notice that Peach and Daisy wear different outfits in these games?:
1. Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
2. Mario Power Tennis
3. Mario Tennis Aces
4. Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash
Maybe Nintendo could have at least put Daisy in Smash Bros instead of Peach. Tomboys are stronger than girly girls. Daisy can beat Rosalina and Peach in that game.
So many people think Daisy is a poser. No, she is a tomboy. Peach is a poser because I have seen her pose in Mario Strikers Charged and Super Mario Strikers. Whoever thinks Daisy is a girly girl or a poser is wrong.
Yes, being a princess is an excuse for why she wears a dress everywhere. I mean, how many princesses have you seen wear pants and a t-shirt? That's what I thought.
Just because two characters share similarities, such as wearing a similar outfit or having similar abilities, doesn't make them clones. The main reason Peach and Daisy share similarities is that they are best friends. It's normal for best friends to have things in common.
You could even say the same thing with Rosalina. Daisy is similar, but not the same.
Except Daisy's hair is lighter than Peach's, so they are not clones.
Daisy was said to be a tomboy, not Peach. Peach is the girly girl.
Flowers aren't related to hearts, but I personally think that the magic has the same effect if used on anyone. So, this is a valid reason in my opinion.
Daisy has flower powers, while Peach has heart powers. Flowers have nothing to do with hearts.
The characters are separated into four different type categories: Power, All-Around, Skill, and Speed. Daisy is categorized as a speed character, while Peach is categorized as a skill character.
