Best Young Adult Fantasy/Science Fiction Series With Amazing Female Protagonists
She's one of the more real YA protagonists I've read about. I'm not really into YA fiction, but I've read a few series (Divergent, THG, Harry Potter, CoB, 13 Reasons Why, etc. ), and I'll be honest... a lot of the time, I didn't feel connected to the main character. Hannah Baker seemed a little arbitrary to me, Katniss was just way too shallow, etc, etc, etc, but Tris was different. Now I'm not saying she's the best character of all time in the history of books ever - because that would be a blatant lie, but for a YA protagonist, she wasn't that bad. She's just a brave, selfless young woman who's not really sure what to do with her life. These are the flaws that humanized her. Although my favorite YA protagonist is Harry, Tris is probably as good as female protagonists get (coming from a girl with no intention to be sexist! ).
I love her character development. She goes from being a little shy and weak to being brave, smart, and ambitious. Tris/Six is awesome!
I love how brave she is! She never cries unless she has too, never whines, doesn't argue, and ALWAYS gets her hands dirty!
How can anyone like Clary. I mean liking the color black as a girl doesn't make u different.even though she is a protagonist I always felt that she was created for the love triangle.and how can she think she is ugly when Simon has told her 30 times a day she is so pretty. Don't get me wrong I love the book but Clary doesn't really contribute. For me Isabelle is the best female character. Characters like Alec Magnus jace and izzy make the book worth reading. Unrealistically perfect, Clarissa, which in itself mean fame and light, has minor flaws which never affect her. It annoying how Simon keeps drooling over her. Bland, dense and unrealistic, this so called tomboy,is a pure Mary Sue.
Clary is brave at times and definitely a relatable character, but as a main female protagonist, she's not my favorite. I mean, all she does is pass out in the hands of the villain. It's great if the villain is your dad or brother, but that's not always the case.
Clary is funny, brave, and is always willing to keep her family and friends safe even if it means she gets injured by doing so! Plus the way she pretends to hate Jace is HILARIOUS! Especially since she obviously has a crush on him!
After I read hp I thought nothing could beat it. but then I read TMI and I still wrestling with myself about which one I love more. but seriously, clary should be no. 1! she is so fierce and loyal and a fighter. she helped stop two wars and even killed HER OWN BROTHER for the greater good of humanity! she is so talented and amazing... I love her so much
Whoever doesn't like her, just leave! Because you're obviously some weird bot programmed to hate the best book series and characters ever! Katniss is strong, brave, tough, caring, and the definition of girl power. Not to mention she has the coolest name ever! She should be first on all these lists!
Wow... Katniss is just... Wow... She's tough, brave, caring, and deadly! Her signature weapon is the bow and arrow and she never chooses anything else to fight with! She loves her sister to death and cares about Peeta and Gale! Plus there's a MAJOR love triangle
She is so flat and static. She is not memorable and she seems to much of a perfect person. Sorry honey, but you are just not relatable at all and your fan girls? Oh yeah, they can STFU. JUST KIDDING don't KILL ME BYE!
Wow, that nickname suits you, TheOverreactingFangirl! Laugh out loud. I like your list!
I like how she isn't a girly girl and doesn't cry over anything and never cares about getting dirty! She'd do ANYTHING to protect her family and friends!
She never trusts ANYONE even if it's her best friend/boyfriend Thomas whom she's known since she was in 4th Grade!
I'm constantly jealous of her wit and intelligence. She is very easily admired.
Hermione Jean Granger is arguably one of the best Harry Potter characters. She is smart and a great friend to Harry and Ron. If Harry and Ron didn't have Hermione as a friend, they would have gotten nowhere during the series. Though, Hermione has flaws: she loses her focus sometimes, she doesn't like being inferior, not that humorous and can't crack a joke, and finally, being overconfident. Hermione is overconfident because she doesn't appreciate others are smart too. Overall, Hermione Granger is that friend who's smart and overconfident, but ALWAYS your friend until the end.
"Now if you two don't mind I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us KILLED, or worse EXPELLED! "
Annabeth is just spectacular. She is immensely brave and strong.
Despite not having a cool "power" like the other demigods, Annabeth is cool with her wisdom and kick-butt fighting skills.
Her love for Percy is adorable. How she went searching for him for the months he was missing, her devotion to him was so cool.
She's just.. Relatable, I guess
Like how is she not number 1
Cassia is sweet, caring, and is the leader of the rebellion that starts in the second book which seems pretty badass!
June is so brave and fiercely loyal to everyone she owes respect to. She is so smart (it makes me so jealous), brave, caring and determined to follow through what she believes in. She gives everyone a second chance (even the guy she thinks killed her brother) and shows immense courage throughout the series. She's the true heartthrob (especially to Day ;)...).
She's June and she's the best. Legend for life.
Tessa is so inspiring! She should be number 1
Sure, (Spoiler) she died, but you can't say she ain't the lead gal! She was from the start, and she deserves to resurrected in the movie!
From the Lunar Chronicles! Amazing! But not as amazing as Tris, Katniss, or Maximum!
She combines wit, strong personal character, depth, and charm...she lights up every scene
She is so brave and strong and does everything to protect her brother and keep her promise to her father that she would stay with him forever. I mean she saw her father die and was alone in a world of destruction and managed to survive: that says a lot about her independence and strength. SHE ROCKS
Hazel isn't my favourite but I have to say that her brave nature is very inspiring
Lena is so complex and brave, she takes control of her fate and refuses to become what she knows she eventually will.
Lena was one of my first female heros I read in a book so inspiring
She is so brave and honest. Her current gift is causing pain to everyone she touches, she killed her own mother accidentally when she first got it at 7 seasons old and hadn't touched anyone without the intention of hurting them since. She literally lives with pain and still manages to be tough, she doesn't let her brother control her, realizes her mistakes and faces them head on. She literally takes all the pain she should have been inflicting on Akos into herself because she knows deep down that she's indestructible. She's even loved when half of her face is carved off from scalp to neck and that shows how admired and adored she is.
