Best Anime Female Kuudere's

Kuudere's can be some of my favorite characters if written well. Most of the time hey come off as emotionless, acting very cold, blunt and cynical. But on the inside they're sweet and have kind hearts. They just don't show it do to reasons. So here's a list dedicated to the females.
The Top Ten
1 Rei Ayanami (Evangelion) Rei Ayanami is a fictional character from the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise. She is the First Child (First Children in the Japanese version), pilot of the Evangelion Unit-00 and one of the female main characters.

Rei is my favorite character in Neon Genesis Evangelion and she definitely has the traits of a tsundere. Her personality is very cold and sometimes detached from the people around her. However, she does have a softer side which does help the 'their' in 'kuudere'. And seeing her first smile in the series warmed my heart.

2 Kanade Tachibana (Angel Beats) Kanade Tachibana is one of the students of the Afterlife school and is said school's Student Council President. She is also referred to as Angel by the Afterlife War Front, which is a nickname coined by Hideki Hinata and later used by the group's leader Yuri Nakamura to refer to Kanade after discovering... read more

Another iconic kuudere. Kanade was stuck in purgatory and had lost many friends who had left the world. She can't interact with any of the people in purgatory because they're not real. We even think she's the antagonist at the beginning but she's far from it.

Kanade was probably my favorite kuudere and she is super adorable in my opinion

3 Mei Misaki (Another) Mei Misaki is the female protagonist of Another and a student of Class 3-3 in 1998. She was labeled by her classmates as "the one that does not exist."

Mei is a very mysterious character throughout Another. Why does she have that eyepatch? Why can no one else see her? What's the mystery surrounding her school? She might seem creepy but there's much more to her than that.

4 Homura Akemi (Madoka Magica) Homura Akemi is a fictional character from the 2011 anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica and its related media.

Despite being very skilled, she still distance herself from her classmates. Yet you can tell she cares for Madoka and is willing to due anything to keep her safe. At the beginning she might seem heartless but that's because she had gotten so used to the pain of the world around her.

5 Saber (Fate Series) Saber is a fictional character from the Japanese visual novel and anime series Fate/stay night by Type-Moon and its prequel, Fate/Zero, by Type-Moon and nitroplus. She is the the Saber-class Servant of Kiritsugu Emiya during the Fourth Holy Grail War in Fate/Zero and the Saber-class Servant of Shirou... read more

Whether you call her Saber or Artoria Pendragon, Saber is one of the most popular characters in anime. She was born in an era to witness the fall of the Roman empire and the barbarian invasion. So needless to say, she hasn't had a very pleasant life. Though she might seem abrasive at first, she's loyal and brave.

6 Tobiichi Origami (Date a Live)

Even though she's the top student at her school, she's not a social person at all. Her parents died five years before the events of Date a Live happened and has immense hatred towards spirits because of it. Her growing desire to obtain power and causes her to have emotional issues. I won't give away too much but it gets crazy with her character.

7 Nagato Yuki (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu)

Nagato was created with social inabilities, something that will always be with her until she doesn't function. She'll answer simple questions with complex meanings or has poor understanding of basic human emotions because of certain circumstances. Although she's monotone, she does try to help her friends as best as she can.

8 Shizuku Mizutani (Tonari no Kaibutsukun)

Shizuku was someone who had no friends and was intent to just always study. But her encounter with Haru changed her life forever. Seeing her slowly fall in love and make friends was cute. And she's one of the very few anime characters who have both a mom and a dad. Crazy, am I right?

9 Mikasa Ackerman (Attack of the Titan) Mikasa Ackerman is a fictional character in the manga and anime series Attack on Titan, also known as Shingeki no Kyojin in Japanese, created by Hajime Isayama. She accompanies the main protagonist Eren Jaeger. Her most notable feature is the red scarf that she wears. She is one of the most strongest... read more

Would anyone be shocked if she was on this list? She lost her mother and father at a young age and was taken in by Eren's family. She's devoted her entire life to him and is willing to protect him at all cost. Even if Eren doesn't want that. She might seem rude and blunt but that's just the way she is.

10 Ritsu Kawai (Bokura Wa Minna Kawaisou)

Ritsu is a giant bookworm who lives in the material she reads. She's not good at being honest with her feelings and puts up walls. But despite being anti-social, she's still an everyday girl who's scared of centipede's and has fetishes.

The Contenders
11 Kiki Seiran (Snow White with the Red Hair)
12 Inori Yuzuriha (Guilty Crown) Inori Yuzuriha was the female protagonist of Guilty Crown and a member of the resistance guerrilla group called "Funeral Parlor". She was the voice of the internet artist "Egoist".

Inori always best girl

13 Sailor Saturn (Sailor Moon)
14 C.C. (Code Geass)
15 Kyoko Kirigiri (Danganronpa) Kyoko Kirigiri, a character from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, is a student of Class 78 in Hope's Peak Academy, who also participates in Monokuma's Killing School Life. She is the Ultimate Detective.
