I feel like no other character deserves the top spot besides Itachi, the hero who always lurked in the shadows, who saved the whole shinobi world not once but twice, who sacrificed almost everything dear to him for the sake of his little brother and his village. If there is ever was a truly selfless character in anime, it is probably Itachi. Respect.

At first Gaara was absolutely scary I thought he was a bad guy but when I was getting closer to the end I relies that he is not that scary.
