Top Ten Best NFL Teams of Week 3 of the 2018 NFL Season
The weeks just keep getting wilder. Week 3 was no exception, with a certain team getting their first win in a long time and the upset of the decade. Here, we’re looking at the top ten best NFL teams of week 3 of the 2018 NFL season. They did what? No, seriously, they did what? In what is considered to be the biggest NFL upset in nearly 20 years, the supposedly terrible Buffalo Bills crushed the mega favorite Minnesota Vikings 27-6. Here, Josh Allen looked amazing, and the defense completely shut down Kirk Cousins and the Vikings offense. They need more performances like this in the future.
Like the Falcons, whom they won against in Week 3, the Saints have a top five offense with a miserable defense. The offense played great in week 3, with Drew Brees and Michael Thomas creating problems all over the field, and Alvin Kamara making a splash as well. And to cap it off, a great win in overtime 43-37.
New played great
Matt Ryan threw for five dang touchdowns, yet he still lost. Hard to believe, but they still had an amazing performance as a team on offense specifically. Calvin Ridley is already looking like a good first round choice, catching three of Matt Ryan’s five touchdown passes. The defense however underperformed majorly, but that’s a different story. As an offense, Atlanta blew up. In a good way, that is.
Falcons played it's just they has a really hard matchup
They dismantled the Green Bay Packers at home 31-17, which had Adrian Peterson proving his doubters wrong by rushing for over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not to mention the tight ends had a huge game, and the defense constantly put pressure on Aaron Rodgers. This team looks like an up and down team based on the last few weeks, but the talent is there, and they have a lot of upside.
And the offense, led by Patrick Mahomes, continues to wreck havoc on opposing defenses. Great performance on offense, but the defense is a polar opposite.
We saw the Rams steamroll the Chargers in great fashion, but lost a key player in Aqib Talib. Anyway, like always, the offense and defense dominated the game, especially an underrated receiver in Robert Woods, who hauled in two touchdowns. In the week I decide not to start him on fantasy. Great...
I think they are the best team in the NFL right now. They’re balanced on both sides. That off season is paying off
You don’t normally see the Lions on these types of lists. But they had quite an inspirational performance against the Patriots, with the defense holding Tom Brady and the offense to a mere 10 points, and Matthew Stafford finally finding his groove. Not to mention Kerryon Johnson was their first 100 yard rusher since Reggie Bush in 2013. Yep, a lot of things have happened in that span.
635 will be a number that goes down in Cleveland Browns history. That is the very number of days that it took for them to win a game. They shocked the New York Jets with a comeback win with rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield, who Browns fans probably think is their savior. And I don’t blame them. Not to mention Cleveland’s very promising performance in this game. They are still in the AFC North race.
Baker Mayfield was so clutch
The game they had was needed to stay afloat in the extremely competitive NFC South. Any loss can send a team spiraling to last place. Cam Newton had a good rushing game, but Christian McCaffery takes the cake with his performance. Not to mention their defensive back group is looking way better than last season.
Not bad from a 1-1-1 team. Big Ben played a good game, the offense rolled, and the defense held off the Buccaneers from making a comeback. Well done by them this week.
