Pretty much all of their star players other than Pettersson are overrated. Horvat and Boeser are not top 50 forwards, Quinn Hughes is nowhere near the same level as Cale Makar, and Thatcher Demko is not a Vezina caliber goalie.

The Edmonton Oilers are a professional ice hockey team based in Edmonton, Alberta. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. McDavid is the best player in the league no doubt, but the team around him and Draisaitl is just awful. No depth whatsoever, horrible defensive core, and one of the worst goalie tandems in the league. Not to mention the awful contracts of Darnell Nurse, Zach Hyman and Mikko Koskinen. No way they're going to win a cup anytime soon.
