NFL Teams With the Worst Defenses Going Into the 2018 Season

Yes the Oakland's Raiders defense is not all that to be completely honest sorry Gurden good luck trying to fix that awful defense, and now dealt your best player on the roster in Khalil Mack is an even bigger travesty. Which could be how the headlines could why your season could be if not realistically a failure that sole move alone. Terrible secondary a team that had problem starting the run, and a linebacking core that's okay.

You have some good pieces, but that's literally what's gonna carry this team seeing how bad it is in the middle literally. the combination of Quinn, and Wake looks unique, and a secondary that is fairly solid looking, but that's it will they be consistent in stopping the pass in the middle seeing that they have an even worse group than the Lions do.

Aside from Peterson, and Jones are exceptionally excellent players I'm not in belief this team is as good as their deceiving pre-season record is indicated. I'd hope there doing the right thing by winning few games, but lose with honor.

Secondary should be very good this, but linebackers completely unknown, and defensive front took a pretty bad downgraded getting rid of both Richardson, and Wilkerson will prove to be a glaring weakness in the defensive run against.

While I could of put much lower they do have a potentially good 3-4 defense on paper, bu their secondary I'm sorry is god awful if you go back to what they did last year against the pass was the worst in the league.

There are some positives on this defense like Jaylon Smith could breakout into that leadership role, and DeMarcus Lawrence is a one man wrecking crew up front. Everything else though an unknown secondary, Sean Lee towards the tail end of his career. Can Taco Charlton, and Leighton Vander Esch be starters by seasons end?

This defense really scares me, downgraded from defensive coordinators Terryl Austin his in Cincy meanwhile what does Detroit get a guy who was from Syracuse. While not a bad idea seeing the basketball squad suffocates opposing offenses in translation to football, and what I've seen I have every right to be considered. this does not look like a good 4-3 team thus why your seeing Bob Quinn pull desperation moves already before the season begins picking guys you never really heard of often. Word is no contract for Ansah whom this has got be the final year for him than what do you do in 2019? Jarrad Davis I'm hoping cleans up on missed because if he does not that linebacking core is gonna get eaten up once again in the middle to guess who guys like Gronkwoski, guys like Rudolph, Burton, Graham yeah this isn't looking good Nevin Lawson why did we need to re-sign him as a starter for aren't we suppose to have Tabor come in by now?

There alright in the middle, and with a healthy Eric Berry that's really all there is to it otherwise this defense could give up a lot of point especially early against some very difficult teams up ahead.

49ers have a very average defense overall not terrible, but just okay overall. You got back first round picks who may start to gell perhaps this season. A secondary that should look more polished, and a linebacking that looks very bad, and a major concern now they got rid of one of their starters to the Lions.

They'll be a middle of the road defense this year they have some very good pieces in certain spots, but they have a secondary that could be the biggest weak link that could feel vulnerable.
