Top 10 Favourite School Subjects

Maybe it's the teacher, maybe it's the class vibe, or maybe your brain just clicks with the way it's taught. Everyone's got that one lesson they actually look forward to instead of counting the minutes until lunch. It's the one where the bell rings and you're not sprinting out the door like your chair was on fire.

This list is your chance to show some love to the subjects that make school suck a little less. The ones that actually get you thinking, or even make you forget you're in a classroom. Vote for the ones that had you raising your hand on purpose, the ones you'd choose again if you had the chance.

The Top Ten
  1. Maths

As a comment on a Digital Genius video once said,

"Don't think of maths as problems and exams, think of it as a playground with unlimited freedom."

I love math because it's completely logical and essentially a puzzle to solve. It's candy for my brain and allows me to think about things logically. While I value the importance of reading and writing, I hate how subjective it is, especially when I need to pick the "best answer" for standardized tests. Math is objective and equally as important as reading and writing.

  2. History

History is my best and favorite subject. People babble on about how math and science are so important, but we can't forget how education began or how America stood up against the British or how the Great Depression was America's worst recession.

If we didn't learn about history, we might repeat the same mistakes of the past. It may not have anything to do with our lives, but hey, at least we weren't as stupid as those people back in the Middle Ages.

This is my favorite subject, partially because of my teacher and her teaching style. I also love learning about past events to get away from the drama of the present.

  3. English

This needs to be number one. Books take you on an amazing journey that you can't find in any other subject. Math? Really? Yeah, putting numbers together and then separating them is so fun (note the sarcasm). Actually, I love math, but WAY LESS than English! When reading, you can escape the horrible truth that is reality. When reading, you can make interesting friends who'll never go away or judge you. When reading, you can defy the impossible! I could go on and on, but why trouble you when you can just go read?

And that's just the reading part. It gets even better with...

WRITING. You can be the ruler of your own kingdom. You can make all of your dreams come true. You can do anything, anything at all, without fear of being hated. You can make up your own countries, worlds, even universes! You can change a person's life with only the power of words. You have control over EVERYTHING. You make your own rules. You make your own life, or another person's life, or even a friend for yourself. The possibilities are endless. Anyone can tame the steady and bland power of math, but it takes someone special to harness the magic belonging only to English.

  4. Chemistry

  5. Physics

I do agree that physics is probably one of the most difficult subjects to pass, but it is without a doubt the most interesting and fascinating subject there is. Physics is basically algebra and trigonometry mixed together, and it explains things like how gravity and the universe work to the advanced meaning of life. If this does not intrigue you and get you interested in physics, nothing will.

Physics, the study of nature, the fundamental underpinnings of everything that we see, the highly counter-intuitive observations of objects being in two places at once and hypothetically retaining information instantaneously from intergalactic distances, the mysteries of the universe's birth, evolution, fate, and that of everything within it. If that doesn't fascinate you, what will?

  6. Biology

I love science in general, but biology is just god-tier. My all-time favorite subject.

I actually find it kind of interesting.

I honestly really like this subject, and it's fun to learn when you know what to do.

  7. Music

Music is great. I can't play an instrument, but I do like to sing. The problem is I'm too shy to sing in front of anybody. Anyway, I do enjoy this subject.

Everyone else on this site is a music lover, so I think they would love this school subject.

This is very easy because all you do is sit there and learn about music.

  8. Geography

The best part of it is the countries. It's not as hard as it seems. You can easily know them and their capitals if you approach it in one way like I do. For example, in Europe, I divide it into the European Union and the rest of Europe, and it becomes so much easier to learn.

Geography is an interesting subject in which we get to know about various parts of the world. The climatic conditions, vegetation, and other properties of different countries make it exciting.

One of the interesting subjects where you get a chance to learn a world map, get to know about different continents, countries, cities, and their unique features.

  9. Art

Art actually gave me attention. I didn't like attention, but it's alright. My teacher assessed my ability in my artwork. She said it was exceptional. Exceptional. Never thought she would say that.

Art is really fun because you get to paint, create, and do much more. You can also learn how to draw things. Art is awesome!

Art allows you to do anything. There are no mistakes, no limits, and you can feel peaceful and relaxed.

  10. Science

I love science. It's an interesting and great subject. I love researching and doing experiments. There is so much you can learn and explore!

Science is so interesting! There are so many things to learn, even about animals. Though, I don't know why this isn't better than all other subjects.

Science is my favorite subject. It involves a lot of things in life. It inspires me and amazes me.
