Top 10 Hardest Spirit Battles in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
This is a list of the hardest spirit battles in Smash Ultimate. This list is based on how long it takes to get the spirit. As we all know, Pauline is the most annoying and difficult spirit in the game. You battle on the very small 75m stage, which makes it hard to get around.
Even though you only have to beat one fighter to win, Peach, you have to avoid Mario, who starts with a hammer, and a giant Donkey Kong. If that wasn't enough, Peach will also constantly try to avoid you, making this battle even harder.
Oh, and did I mention that you also have a time limit? I got very lucky and got this spirit when Peach fell off the stage.
Pauline is impossible. I'm on the dreaded original 1981 Donkey Kong stage that is easy to fall off of. I have low jump power. Mario starts with a hammer, and I have to do my best to avoid him.
Peach, who I have to defeat, keeps avoiding me, and Donkey Kong won't leave me alone. There's also a time limit.
The Donkey Kong & Lady spirit is also very hard. I lose if my CPU ally, Peach, gets KO'd. DK has 250% stamina, and there's a time limit. But it's slightly easier than Pauline.
I put this one at #2 because he was a nightmare to beat for me. You have to fight Little Mac, who has super armor. Not to mention the fact that his smash attacks are very powerful and do a lot of damage.
I tried this spirit the first few times as Meta Knight and didn't win, even when I hit him twice with my Final Smash. Speaking of which, Little Mac's Final Smash is buffed too, so if you get hit with it, you're basically finished.
It took quite a few times to defeat this one. I used a stamina spirit (Donbe & Hikari enhanced) and a Final Smash spirit (Ashley or Geese Howard). I used Sonic.
It was so hard, but I got lucky when Little Mac was standing at the very edge when I was doing my Super Sonic Final Smash.
In this battle, you fight Lucas two times. The first one may be easy, but then it gets hard. You then have to fight a metal Lucas, which is hard to do good damage on.
I did this one as Sonic, and every time I activated the Final Smash, it didn't finish him off. Then he would use PK Starstorm and almost always kill me.
The metal Lucas is really hard. His sword can do a lot of damage to the player and only dies at around 200%.
Marth's attacks are really strong.
This is a very hard battle because you are fighting on an omega stage that has a poison floor. Even if you have a spirit like Fire Emblem Sakura, it's still hard because Zero Suit Samus gets increased defense at high damage.
Not to mention it's a timed battle, so you don't have much time. I won this battle by luck. I trapped ZSS in an egg and she fell off. By the time she got out, she was too far from the stage to recover.
The hardest spirit I ever had to face. The poison floor in the omega level is extremely potent, and spirits that lessen the effect are not very useful. You need immunity to it. This one is really hard to defeat.
You fight a tiny Bowser to start. He can take away most of your energy, which is bad because after you beat the tiny one, you fight a larger Bowser, which can take you out in at least three hits.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that the floor is lava and it's an omega stage.
The problem I had with this one was the tiny Bowser. I took too much damage and died to the big one.
I battled the tiny one and easily won, but the giant Bowser just instantly killed me. Way too hard. I lucked out and found him in the shop.
Tails is a difficult spirit because of one thing: the Assist Trophy. I took more damage from Knuckles than Fox.
This is kind of hard because you fight a total of six people: Inkling (to represent Mipha), Donkey Kong (to represent Daruk), Falco (to represent Revali), ZSS (to represent Urbosa), Link, and Zelda. Fighting all of them can take a lot of power.
Oh Lord, I despised this one. You go up against Corrin, and she gets a Final Smash. But wait, what's that? Double that Final Smash? Sure, why not add to my suffering? And hell, let's just have Corrin's attack power increase too.
Plus, it is hard dodging the Final Smashes because Corrin uses them super strategically as well. Corrin is also hard to avoid because she hunts you down like a freaking hawk. And to top it all off, not a single good item can be found here.
The double Final Smash is really hard. I had to KO my opponent quickly.
I put him here because it wasn't too hard for me (remember, I'm ranking these based on how long it took). But it is kind of hard because of the electric floor.
You fight a Mii Swordfighter and a tiny Ridley, as well as the Ashley Assist Trophy. The controls reverse every few seconds. Lucky for me, I had another WarioWare spirit that took care of the inverse controls.
This one is hard because of the stage. The WarioWare boosts can boost Ashley's strength and make her hard to launch.
Left is right and right is left. Stupid condition.
This one is hard because the Sonic is gold, so you can get KO'd by his Final Smash at around 60%. I got lucky and meteor smashed him.
I can see him being a challenge. You fight a Sonic as well as the Sukapon Assist Trophy. But Rayman was easy because I was able to KO the Sukapon.
He was so freaking hard. I could only beat him when I had the Metal Killer and KO's Heal Damage spirits. Before then, I didn't even beat the first four Mega Mans out of the eight you have to fight.
The metal Mega Men are hard to flinch or knock off. By the time I did it, my stamina was too drained.
Charizard can capture you in his flames and you're dead. I couldn't use Pyra's Flare Smash to KO because he is resistant to fire.
Charizard with curry. Curry is a pain.
I think I remember this one. It took me a few tries. You fight Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, and Bullet Bills constantly spawn. I kept dying either because I would get slammed by a Bullet Bill or launch into the blast zone after getting hit by one.
All about luck. Bob-ombs make lots of decisions. They can kill you or someone else. The secret is to go for Sonic first.
