Top 10 Best ThunderClan Leaders (Warrior Cats)

Hey! I'm bored of waiting to read 'Wind'. I know it's released, but I plan to read it later. I have it and I've read the plot description and some pages. Even then, I still have to wait to read 'Ivypool's Heart' and then 'Star'!

Anyway, Squirrelflight is now SQUIRRELSTAR! It's an amazing name, and I hope she'll be a great leader (which she will be, lol). So, to honor her new position, I'll be writing a list of the top ten ThunderClan leaders! Whippy!

After that, I'll be writing a list for the top 10 best RiverClan medicine cats to honor Frostpaw. Anyway, I'm not going to include random leaders (likeā€¦ I don't know, Vinestar? Whitestar?). I know people include them, but I feel like that's pretty dumb.

So, I'll be including Thunderstar, Redstar, Oakstar, Doestar, Pinestar, Sunstar, Bluestar, Firestar, Bramblestar, and Squirrelstar (yup, that's right. No stupid imposter here). Anyway, hope you enjoy!
The Top Ten
1 Firestar Firestar is a character in the Warrior Cats series. He becomes the leader of ThunderClan after Bluestar. He is mates with Sandstorm and has two kits: Squirrelflight and Leafpool. Formerly a kittypet named Rusty, Firestar is killed by fatal wounds inflicted by the spirit of Tigerstar and a falling tree... read more

DUH. I obviously put him first. Like, he led the Clan through the pack of dogs (Remember that Bluestar went insane?), through the darkest hour against Scourge, and he went on a quest with Sandstorm to find SkyClan. He led the Clan in the Great Journey, his kin were prophesied cats, and he forgave HOLLYLEAF (she's amazing, too!). He led his Clan through the battle against the Dark Forest and gave his last life to save his Clan. I mean, who wouldn't put him first? Thunderstar's great, but Firestar's simply amazing.

2 Thunderstar

Ah. I did say Thunderstar is amazing, didn't I? He's not better than Firestar but he is amazing, needless to say. His mother and littermates died when he was a kit, his father rejected him, and he just sucked it up and led a Clan. In Thunderstar's novella, we see he gave up his first life to stop a pack of dogs. And he CREATED ThunderClan! He deserves the podium.

3 Squirrelstar Squirrelflight is a dark ginger she-cat with forest-green eyes. She has one white paw, short legs, a torn ear tip, glossy fur, and a long, squirrel-like, bushy tail. She has a scar running from her chest to the top of her hind leg along her right flank. She is a cat in the series called Warrior Cats... read more

Let's be realistic, Squirrelstar is better than Bluestar. I know a lot of people say Bluestar should be on the podium, but let's get this straight: Squirrelflight, no matter what, ALWAYS survived. She survived the journey to the sun-drown place (unlike Feathertail), and she survived the Great Journey where a lot of cats died.

She survived the fire in ThunderClan and managed to protect her adopted kits. She survived the Great Battle, the Great Storm (Dustpelt didn't), and the rockslide that killed her sister Leafpool. She was even accepted into the trial for StarClan, survived the impostor, and proved her resilience throughout.

Moreover, she also lost her mother, her father, and her sister, yet she barely shows any grief in front of anyone. She led her Clan when Bramblestar was ill and during Ashfur's exile to ShadowClan she led the Clan effectively. She refused to take nine lives because she believed her mate could come back.

If you've read Squirrelflight's Hope, you'd know she deals with an abusive mate who always puts himself above her, makes her feel guilty for things that he does, and never admits he's wrong. Squirrelflight always forgave him. Yes, she was a bit mean to Nightheart, but we don't know her point of view on that. It's only one flaw, and she wasn't even that mean - she accepted Nightheart back in and let Sunbeam come too.

I've read the Wind exclusive chapters and some of the pages from Wind and the plot description. Yes, she isn't acting yet, but that's because she's smart and knows her Clan would lose. She sides with Tigerstar and Harestar against Splashtail. Go Squirrelstar!

4 Bluestar Bluestar is a character in the Warrior Cats series. She was one of the leaders of ThunderClan. She broke the code by being mates with Oakheart of RiverClan and having her kits, Stonefur and Mistyfoot, and Mosskit. Stonefur and Mistyfoot live in RiverClan, while Mosskit died of hypothermia. She has a... read more

Amazing leader! Though she didn't podium, she made it to the top 5! Okay, she's not as amazing as Squirrelstar, but she is amazing. Yes, she went insane, but who can blame her? She also gave her last life up to her Clan, finally realizing they weren't disloyal, and shared tongues with Mistystar (foot at the time) and Stonefur.

She gave so much up to her Clan. She lost Moonflower, Snowfur, Mosskit, and Oakheart and gave up her kits to RiverClan so that Thistleclaw couldn't become leader. Bluestar was a good leader.

5 Doestar

I mean, she gave up her last life to her Clanmates. And she led them through the Great Hunger and gave up her last life hungry so that her Clan was full. She's better than Sunstar because literally he didn't lead them through anything.

6 Sunstar

Mentor to Bluestar, gave up his last life to dogs, and... yeah. But he's realistic. And a good leader.

7 Bramblestar Bramblestar is the leader of ThunderClan. His mate is Squrrielflight and his kits are Dandilionkit, Juniperkit, Sparkpelt and Alderheart. Bramblestar sister is Tawnypelt, his parents are Goldenflower and Tigerstar. Bramblestar is a huge and muscular dark brown tabby tom with amber eyes, he has sleek... read more

Meh. Not a bad leader, but he was an abusive mate to Squirrelstar. He led them through the Great Storm, at least. And he was a better mate to Squirrelstar after the Dark Forest. He stepped down honorably knowing it was better for the Clan. He's okayish.

8 Pinestar

He's way better than Redstar or Oakstar, but he's still not that good. It's not about becoming a kittypet that bothered me, but the way he left Tigerkit, knowing he was dangerous and leaving him to destroy the Clan. Doestar literally told him he should teach Tigerkit values, but Pinestar was a coward.

He caused the addition to the Warrior Code, "A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet," and that caused nothing but discrimination, as seen in Firestar's case. Plus, he could've retired to the elders' den and officially become an elder, but again, Pinestar was a coward.

9 Redstar

He literally proposed exiling SkyClan first, and he knew that Darkstar had given ThunderClan territory when they needed it, but Redstar couldn't give SkyClan territory when they needed it. He acted immaturely. If you read Cloudstar's Journey, you'll see when Cloudstar asks, "Then what do we do?" after the Clan leaders don't give him territory, Redstar's the first one to say, "Leave." He was horrible.

10 Oakstar

Literally, he banished kits and he still goes to StarClan. I don't have a problem with him exiling Mapleshade (that's also horrible), but he banishes KITS! Innocent kits and caused their deaths! He's the cause of Ravenwing and Frecklewish's deaths. He exiled Mapleshade, and she got her revenge. He shouldn't have exiled her in the first place. Horrible, horrible, horrible. He should go to the Dark Forest. He never even apologized to Mapleshade, or said, "I'm sorry but you have to leave." No! He didn't! He's a bad leader, Oakstar. Just because he was Pine's father doesn't make him amazing.
