Top 10 Best Dragon Ball/Z/GT Couples and Ships

A couple so unexpected, yet so perfectly matched, that no one thought it would be possible. They ended up becoming one of the most beloved couples in the DB fandom, even if it was only for plot purposes at the beginning. Now, they are seen as an iconic example of how love can profoundly change someone - transforming a consummate villain into a brave hero and redeeming selfishness into kindness. In my opinion, it is the best love story in the entire DB universe.

These two are absolutely perfect for one another. They are both stubborn, selfish, and hot-headed, but they can each learn something from the other. Bulma usually gets her way in controlling people, and Vegeta is tough like her, so he can handle her. And Bulma can teach Vegeta to soften up towards people, which she did.

Out of the Dragon Ball Z couples, Gohan and Videl are the only couple who truly trust each other. When an actor took photos of Gohan to make him look bad, Videl didn't believe it - that's true, epic love. I'm glad that Gohan and Videl had a child together, and I hope they have a grandchild, then a great-grandchild, and so on, with the bloodline continuing forever. Another couple I ship is Pan and Trunks - they're cute together, and I hope they end up together one day. I hope we get more of Videl, Gohan, Pan, and Trunks in the future. Anyway, Gohan and Videl are my favorite couple in DBZ and Super, with Trunks and Pan as my second favorite. If Pan and Trunks have a child one day, then Gohan and Videl would have very powerful half-alien grandchildren!

People think that just because a couple stays together for a long time, it automatically means they love each other. But if people don't understand the depth of Goku and Chi-Chi's relationship, they shouldn't be watching the anime. Goku had reasons to stay away from Chi-Chi. It doesn't mean he didn't love her. Some fans fail to understand that Goku was born with a low power level, so he had to work hard, struggle, and train to become strong enough to protect his family. What did fans expect? That he needed to tell his family a thousand times that he was doing it for them? He loved his family and didn't mind staying back, but he wouldn't have been strong enough to protect them if he had. It was frustrating to see someone struggling to protect others, only for fans not to understand. Why do they watch anime then? Goku loved Chi-Chi, and that's why he took all those steps to protect everyone, including her, which some people just don't get. Plus, he was a hero. Vegeta didn't fight or care much for anyone. He was selfish and spent time with Bulma only because of that. It's not a big deal. He doesn't even know how to be friendly with Goku - one minute he's jealous, and the next, he's friendly, only to be jealous again. Staying together doesn't mean a couple has to be a fan favorite.

I didn't watch DB Super, but I don't ship Android 18 with anyone other than Krillin. I mean, the man deserves happiness, and boy, did he earn it! He's been saying he wants to get married and be happy since he was a little kid. Krillin is good for Android 18 since she sought a nice man, and Krillin's the nicest guy among the DB characters. He doesn't have an inferiority complex like most men would (although he still wants to look cool in front of his wife). Yeah, they're my favorite couple in the DB universe.

I think it's cute how 18 is like the man in the relationship and takes charge, but I love how she admits she loves him. Krillin has helped 18 become a better person.

How Trunks loves Mai so much is so romantic. Both the present and future versions of him show great love and care for her. Present Mai is still working on her emotions since she is stuck with the memories of her past self while also now being a kid who is learning at school again. But we see she is more childish now than ever and is changing since she is even defying Pilaf. Also, Future Mai's loyalty and love for Future Trunks are so strong too. They're a badass couple in the Future arc! The idea that these two get together in every timeline and reality is so sweet. I really hope to see more of these lovers together! Toriyama just makes random pairings in Dragon Ball, and somehow it works!

Honestly, this was really cute. It's too bad there had to be an excuse to break them up so Trunks could exist.

Yeah, Yamcha and Bulma - I liked their relationship in Dragon Ball. I wish they had ended up together.

Launch was completely forgotten by Toriyama, and this relationship never had any time to grow. It would have been great to see more of them together.

We don't really get to see their relationship progress, but they are so sweet together.

They had actual chemistry in the Broly movie. It's too bad we couldn't see more of them.

Bardock and Gine - I wish they had more scenes together. I also wish they had met Goku, Gohan, Pan, Chi-Chi, Videl, and Hercule.

Well, there are Dragon Ball GT images of Goten and Bulla together on Google and YouTube.

I like this pairing since it would mean Goku and Vegeta's families would finally be tied together.

I don't remember them having any scenes together, so it's hard for me to ship them in Dragon Ball GT.

Trunks and Pan are my second favorite couple after Gohan and Videl. I hope Trunks and Pan get married and have a daughter or son. It would be great if they got married because that means Vegeta, Bulma, Goku, Gohan, and Videl would all be related.

I personally think Pan and Trunks are the coolest Dragon Ball couple. They're like the Dragon Ball version of Romeo and Juliet. Was Trunks the right guy for Mai?

Videl wasn't jealous of that other girl because she knows Gohan is completely happy with her and Piccolo. Gohan is bi.

I think it would be cute, especially considering that Future Trunks hated the androids, but then his younger self would end up loving the child of one.

I knew that Marron and Trunks would make a really good couple. Unfortunately, Trunks and Mai are a couple, so this pairing won't be considered canon.

I do like this ship. I love Caulifla's tough-girl attitude, and she and Cabba are the same age. He did teach her how to go Super Saiyan. I like this ship more than Goku x Caulifla.
