It has finally arrived! I wasn't planning to make this list before, but I thought to myself, if I called it "Male Naruto Characters" why not make "Female Naruto Characters?" So here it is!!

Throughout Part I, Hinata is repeatedly shown struggling to meet the standards of her clan. Much of her growth comes from persistence rather than natural confidence, she worked the hardest out of any female in Naruto other than Sakura and maybe TenTen. Her feelings for Naruto Uzumaki are important, but they aren't her entire character. Hinata's arc also evolves around confidence, overcoming fear, and finding her own power. Naruto inspires her, but her development isn't solely about romance. Hinata knew she couldn't defeat Pain. She stepped in because Naruto was pinned down and facing capture, that's more than what half of the cast did during the Pain Arc. Hinata is compassionate, but she repeatedly demonstrates a willingness to stand up for her beliefs and protect others.
Temari Sabaku

Temari is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. She is a skilled ninja from the Hidden Sand Village and is known for her use of a giant fan in battle. Temari later marries Shikamaru Nara, a ninja from the Hidden Leaf Village.

Temari is NOT the "independent queen" fans pretend she is! Temari's entire adult arc revolves around Shikamaru and political duties tied to Gaara, she even acts like a baby around Gaara while Kankuro has a backbone! Temari gets visibly irritated when Shikamaru doesn't give her attention or prioritize her. How is this her being independent when she seeks out male attention, oh and her ass getting burned when Sasuke ignored her for Gaara was pathetic. Temari gets mad that her brothers do not depend on her and throws hissy fits, how pathetic. Temari's "strong woman" image is mostly aesthetic; she has no major solo arc or ideological stance, and her only trait in Boruto is Shikamaru's wife. Temari's "doesn't flirt" reputation is false; she blushes around Shikamaru and gets jealous easily.
Konan

She remained devoted to Yahiko's dream and stayed beside Nagato through years of war and suffering, she's one of the most loyal and respected females in the series! Her battle with Obito Uchiha is one of the most impressive performances by any Akatsuki member. Without Izanagi, Obito likely would have died. She survived decades among some of the most dangerous people in the ninja world for a reason! Despite her loyalty to Yahiko and Nagato, Konan wasn't dependent on them for her identity. When Nagato died, she made her own decision to trust Naruto and oppose Obito. Nobody forced her to do that.

Konan developed the "Dance of the Shikigami," allowing her to transform her body into paper. This technique is completely unique in the series, offering high-level offense, defense, and spying capability. As a founding member of the Akatsuki, she is considered one of the strongest kunoichi, capable of controlling paper to create millions of explosive tags. She nearly killed Obito Uchiha through intense strategy and preparation. Unlike many female characters in the series, Konan's character arc is not driven by love for a male character, but by her shared ideals and commitment to peace with her companions.
Kushina

Kushina Uzumaki is a fictional character from the manga and anime franchise Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. She is the mother of the series' protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki, and the wife of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. Kushina was also the second jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails.

What is Kushina doing way down here? She is the bomb! Even as a kid in a new village she had so much spunk, and as Minato noticed, she could stand up for herself (within reason). She could hit hard, and had some amazing abilities stemming from her Uzumaki lineage. Her love for Minato was so adorable, and you know we all cried after we saw what a mother she could have been after sacrificing herself for her son. Facing hate is not easy, and given the ninetails she held within her, she must have been filled with so much love... Plus, I love her hair ;) But kudos to Hinata, I love her too.

Her backstory was the scene in Naruto, both the original and Shippuden, that most impacted me out of anything else I've seen. How she met Minato, to how she struggled with everyone, to literally everything that happened after she fell in love with Minato was what defined her character well in the anime and manga. Plus, I really liked it when Naruto commented on why she is so pretty! All of those episodes and chapters had to be the best I've seen and she is simply a really amazing person! You'll see what I mean after watching it all, or reading it all.
Sakura Haruno

Sakura starts with no advantages, representing a "normal" human working to the top, why is she so low? She evolves from a shallow fangirl obsessed with Sasuke into a mature, empathetic person who truly understands the trauma of others. While her love for Sasuke was a constant theme, she matures to a point where she is driven by her own desire to be strong, rather than merely needing approval, especially under the mentorship of Tsunade. Sakura becomes arguably the best medical ninja in the world, saving countless lives during the Fourth Great Ninja War and keeping Naruto alive when he was near death.

The way Sakura gets treated compared to the actual feats of the "favorite female characters" her haters worship is embarrassingly inconsistent. Temari has no major wins, almost is featless, no major contributions, no narrative impact, and no development yet Temaritards act like she's above Sakura. Temari isn't the one who's praised by the God of Shinobi or Obito, Temari never saved lives, be so real. Sakura's even prettier than Temari! Sakura's storyline was better as she goes from insecure to confident, powerful, emotionally mature, and respected. Sakura punches harder than any kunoichi, has more brains than all of them, keeps up with Naruto and Sasuke in the final war, and is the most respected female other than Kaguya and Tsunade.
Tsunade

Tsunade is a fictional character from the Naruto manga and anime franchise. She was created by Masashi Kishimoto and is one of the Legendary Sannin. Tsunade is known for her medical skills, superhuman strength, and her leadership as the Fifth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village.

There is NO UNIVERSE where Tsunade should be under trash like Temari! Tsunade is one of the Legendary Sannin, the Fifth Hokage, the woman who saved the entire village, the woman who Madara respected at the end, the one who trained Sakura, the one who created modern medical ninjutsu, the one who fought Orochimaru, and the one who fought in the Fourth War. Useless Temari is featless and her stupid fans can not admit she is only known for being Gaara's sister and a support character! Tsunade is canonically one of the most beautiful women in Naruto! Temari is not, Tsunade slams in looks as well! She has boobs as well, unlike Temari who was carried by a tight top in part I lmao! Temari had no power, relevance, importance, backstory, or did anything other than follow Gaara in Part I. Temari has no arc, no good fight, no character development, no pain, no major impact on the plot! Temari ranking above Tsunade is pure fandom delusion.
Ino Yamanaka

Anko is like one of the coolest and strongest of all the female naruto characters. Plus she was orochimaru's student that makes her even more cooler!

Anko is tough. Badass character. She fights off Orochimaru's curse and is so interesting- she's fierce and very scary sometimes. Anko is a big favourite, she really made me scared during the Forest of Death part, when she licked blood lol.

Anko is such a badass with those snake techniques. Not to mention how awesome that cloak is!
Tenten

Tenten is one of the main supporting characters in the Naruto anime and manga series, as well as in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. She's a technical fighter, not a spectacle fighter. And Naruto fans don't know how to appreciate subtle skill. Tenten is the mid‑range support and artillery, she provides ranged cover, she controls the battlefield, she seals and unseals weapons instantly, and can support Neji and Lee in close-ranged combat. She's the only one on her team who can fight at long range.
That alone makes her essential. Her loss to Temari became a meme, and people never let it go. BUT TenTen is younger, got an unfair match, and her team was still surpised she lost the match. It's like calling Shino weak because he lost to Torune.
It's a matchup issue, not a skill issue. She also uses hundreds of weapons and can use the ones most Shinobi could not. Tenten is the only kunoichi who trains like a real shinobi other than Sakura, TenTen does not rely on a bloodline, plot armor, inherited power, and power boosts. She trains. She works. Tenten? The only girl who is underrated in all brains, power, and beauty. Tenten is NOT the weakest kunoichi, be real people! She is more powerful than Shizune, Moegi, Kurenai, Izumi, and most of the ones in Boruto.

Is anybody home? Mei is obviously the strongest female character in Naruto, she's the Mizukage for heavens sake. I mean for one, she could easily trap and nearly kill Sasuke (granted he was weakened) she can also use earth, fire and water release, as well as advanced nature lava release and boil release. This means she can use a total of 5 elemental releases. How many can Hinata use... How many can Sakura use... Exactly.

She is absolutely the best female character in Naruto... But Hinata, Konan, Temari and Tsunade are also cool... Mara Mei deserves to be at least in top 3...

Shizune

Shizune actually does something to the plot, people just underrate her because she is not powerful and the fact she's the flattest girl in terms of boobs. Shizune runs he hospital when Tsunade is gone, handles autopsies, poison analysis, and medical strategy, and she's the one who keeps Tsunade functioning during crises. Shizune is a functional shinobi with skills, responsibilities, and impact. She's not popular because she's not drawn with fanservice, not because she's useless.

Shizune is actually useful to the story despite being weak lmao! Shizune runs the entire medical corps, briefs Tsunade, participates in political decisions, and analyzes poisons. Even if she's not a powerhouse, Shizune has medical ninjutsu and poison extraction. Shizune's toolkit is useful. Kurenai's is replaceable.
Tayuya

Tayuya is a fictional character from the Naruto manga and anime series, created by Masashi Kishimoto. She is a member of the Sound Four, a group of elite ninja who serve under Orochimaru. Tayuya is known for using a flute to perform powerful genjutsu techniques during combat.

I love Tayuya, she is actually my favorite character along side Hinata and Kin. She may have a foul mouth but I love her personality, I really wish that she was still alive because she is amazing and can play the flute too! She is strong and really cool! I also love her hair, I think she should be higher on this list but still amazing character! Also I really wish there were more fanfiction of her because she is amazing!

I personally wished she would have live. Yes she has a foul mouth but she was strong. Besidea I think she could have had a good relationship with Naruto. It would be like the Kushina to Minato. I wish they would have at least given more background information.
Kurenai Yuhi

Kurenai Yūhi is a supporting character in the Naruto and Boruto series. She is a jōnin-level kunoichi from Konohagakure and specializes in genjutsu. Kurenai leads Team Kurenai, which includes Hinata Hyūga, Shino Aburame, Kiba Inuzuka, and Akamaru.

She has no personality, no relevance, no emotional ties, and no combat identity. Every Naruto woman has a clear main personality, Hinata is sweet and shy, Sakura is complexed and loyal, Temari is sarcastic and bold, Ino is outgoing and confident, Tsunade is competitive and expressive, Konan is calm and ideological, and even TenTen is hardworking and reliable. Kurenai's personality is nice teacher, that's it. No quirks, no flaws, no contradictions, no emotional depth. She's irrelevant to the plot, at least TenTen and Shizune DOES something. Kurenai is not connected to anything other than Asuma and her daughter. Her fighting style is also boring, it's only simple Genjutsu. It's not unique (Sharingan users do it better), not flashy, not admired by anyone, and not plot-relevant! She's not a mentor, rival, foil, or emotional anchor to anyone, seriously, only Asuma, Hinata, and her daughter cares about her.
Guren

I have been in love with this character for god knows how long. She is such an amazing character and her power? Unbelievable. I mean, who would've thought that crystal element would be a very strong as well as beautiful element? (Well apparent Masashi Kishimoto did)
But still! I love the way she handles Naruto's clones with her Jade Crystal Blade! The way the blade appears is awesome. Guren is a bit underrated, I must say. Sure she was the bad guy at first but she changed and at the end she received the happiness she deserves.

I was thinking for a long time that if I could be a character in naruto series, how she would be!... and then I faced Guren, and oh, she was about 90% similar to my imaginations!... a young villain girl with unique and extraordinary abilities and with a full-of-emotions heart she tries to ignore, but this heart she owns will compensate her dark past and change her way!
oh, and her appearance is very close to my expectations too!
Yugito Nii

She's cool. Bee and her are an item!

Hanabi

She's a strong character and who is very talked up in the series, even if we never really get to see her fight. We can only assume she is stronger than Hinata in the original series and maybe even Neji.

I feel good that Hanabi is the Hyuga's heir now, because if Hinata won the fight, she wouldn't have gotten the time to spend with naruto and the others.

Hanabi is underrated! She needs more love in the Naruto fandom! Hanabi barely gets any attention!
Rin Nohara

Rin should be more appreciated. She is a role model, a girl with a perfect personality. She is the reason Obito went crazy, the reason Madara had someone to use. Had Rin never existed, Naruto wouldn't be the same. Not only was Rin the cause of many things in Naruto, but she wasn't like Sakura. She may have crushed on the protege of her team, being Kakashi, but she didn't push Obito away because he was a looser. She didn't rely on Obito and Kakashi the same way Sakura relied on Naruto and Sasuke, although she did need their help. She knew medical ninjutsu from the start, healing Obito and Kakashi. She was also great support for Obito to keep going towards his dream.
Himawari Uzumaki

Who ever said that she was horrible, weird or fat are just STUPID! I'm sorry for my bad language but I think that you people out there are just mad because she didn't turn out to be the one you like. If you don't like a character, just SHUT UP! I am a fan of Himawari and I hope YOU die. If you don't like Himawari, don't even bother typing on this page. Masashi Kishimoto did a great job and I think that he created great characters. So if you have nothing nice to say, be quiet and let other REAL Naruto FANS type cause you are taking too much space here. In my opinion, Himawari is better than Boruto. It's just an opinion. If you disagree please type and tell the world what your opinions are.

Izumi in the novels make it very clear that the girl was a prodigy, a year‑skipper in the academy, a Sharingan awakener BEFORE Itachi, and a very talented female with extreme beauty. Izumi awakened her Sharingan during the nine-tails attack and after seeing her father die, Itachi awakened his later and even was impressed that Izumi had the Sharingan before he did. She was one of the few people who actually got Itachi and Fugaku knew that just by looking into her eyes!

Mikoto Uchiha

Mikoto was the parent Fugaku wasn't, couldn't be, or was never allowed to be, and this is one of the most quietly tragic dynamics in the entire Uchiha clan. She's the only one who provided Sasuke any attention, the only one who listens to him, comforts him, treats him like a child, not a soldier. Fugaku just bosses him around. She understood both of her sons without forcing rules onto them! She never pressured Sasuke, weaponized Itachi's talent, and demanded perfection from them both. She let them be kids, not clan assets. She's the reason Sasuke even knows what maternal love feels like.

Mikoto supported Sasuke when Itachi overshadowed him. She offered to help Sasuke improve his skills before she died. Without Mikoto, Sasuke would definitely have been more lonely during his childhood. Mikoto was equally motherly to both of her sons. She also made it clear to Itachi that even though he had prioritized the village before his clan, that she loved him and was proud of him as a son. Mikoto was kind and understanding and even became friends with Uzumaki Kushina who was an outcast. It is unknown whether or not they became friends after the academy, however she was able to break Kushina's shell like Minato. To be honest, I think she's underrated since she died and was hardly mentioned. Besides, she didn't seem to be under the curse of hatred as she isn't seen hating the village (speaking with Kushina and Biwako who was the hokage's wife). She's also strong since she is mentioned to be pretty good with weapons and should know many fire style attacks.
Ayame

Ayame is the sweetest person along with Hinata and a few others. She didn't care if Naruto had the Kyuubi and also wasn't a rude person.

She helps make ramen for Naruto! He wouldn't be able to survive otherwise. (She's also pretty hot).

She is a strong willing person and will do anything for naruto and her friends.
