Top 10 Flaws of Grand Theft Auto V
GTA V is the biggest, most expensive to create and by far the best selling GTA game, yet many people forgot about it a few months after it was released. Bigger isn't always better, and maybe GTA VI is better off with some focus.Nobody cares about the underwater content. And half of the game world is just empty barren hills.
Los Santos is not interesting.
Yes horrible country
Drive to point A. Shoot X number of people. Drive to point B. No real chaos. Just follow instructions by the numbers. The heists are good campaign missions but never were as exciting as Grand Theft Auto IV's one heist.
It has a bunch of mini-games which aren't very interesting, but when it comes to causing chaos out in the open (the main point of Grand Theft Auto), there's no real evolution in the series.
It launched with less-than-promised content, lots of bugs/problems and the first 5-10 hours were basic boring grinding. Getting the people together for heists and other games was a hassle.
Hackers Hackers Hackers
The game wasn't sure whether it wanted to be a serious or silly, and it came out in a muddled middle ground where it wants you to take it seriously one moment and then it does something really goofy the next.
The story is all over the place, the characters and their motives/behaviors aren't believeable and there's so many characters that there isn't much focus.
You drive cars, shoot people and turn in missions. The formula is largely the same.
Police are super-aggressive, overly punishing, yet really dumb at times. Replacing the pay n spray system with hiding is a questionable choice.
This is purely subjective, but of all the genres they have, they picked a wide array of forgettable songs. Vice City and San Andreas gave you a certain sense of place through its music. V doesn't do that.
Basically, the political message of the game is that everyone sucks. It's the laziest position to take because it requires the least thought and nuance.
Niko is better than all of them
