Top Ten Social Media Pet Peeves
I'm on several social media apps (not gonna give out my account names for privacy reasons), such as Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, and all I can say is that I've experienced a lot of frustration. Here are some of the most common pet peeves related to social media.Every time I check my phone to see if anyone has liked or viewed my posts on social media, I always see hundreds of notifications, and it usually takes forever to get rid of all of them. I know there's the option of turning off notifications, but I'm the type of person who likes staying up to date, especially when it comes to social media, and I like being able to see if anyone has looked at my posts.
I don't necessarily have this problem unless the numbers on the mail icon keeps spinning and won't go away.
that's really annoying.
I have a relatively stable Internet connection, so this only happens every once in a while. However, it's really annoying when this happens because I don't like having to restart my phone in order to get rid of the glitch.
I use the website, apparently.
This usually happens unintentionally, but when it does happen, it's really annoying, especially if the post was memorable, and it might be hard to remember the moment you went on vacation if you don't at least have photos of that special moment. Sometimes, I post a pic on Snapchat, and I accidentally forget to save, so I end up losing something I was proud of.
Dude, this happens to me a LOT at Wattpad. When I was trying to submit an image on a page, the bloody image won't respond! It really struggles when you're using tablet on a fanfiction website!
It's so annoying when you forget the information you need to log in. This is the reason why it's always a good idea to write your login info down on a piece of paper and keep in a safe place that is only accessible to you and your family members, and no one else.
It's so annoying, especially if you are innocent and didn't do anything wrong. Also, there are people who like to play victim and accuse people of doing things they would never do, so those people can be blamed for getting innocent users banned for a period of time.
This is basically similar to #4, but it always frustrates me (and I'm sure everyone else feels the same way too) when I try to log into my account, but can't remember my login information. Also, if your account gets hacked unexpectedly, it's close to impossible to get it back, so it's always good to have a backup account for a reason.
This one is pretty self-explanatory. It's also annoying when the person who reports you tries to act like they're the victim and blame everything on you.
It's so frustrating and enough to make me angry, especially when it's an important memory that you might not be able to take back.
This is a big problem on most apps, especially YouTube, so try to avoid these people at all costs. Spammers and bots should be banned from posting on social media, and the same goes for cyberbullies.
It's really sad and frustrating when the person who unfriended you was close to you for a long time, and it's also annoying when they get mad at you for absolutely no reason and they randomly decide to remove you from their friends list on Facebook or any other social media app.
This happens to me on Scratch a lot of times.
